3 Stars!! I think I’m getting a little bored of these similar storylines.. They all have a familiar pattern.. 🤷‍♀️ They are still fun, very smutty, low angst and entertaining.. but the novelty has worn off 🙄 I’m really not in a rush to read the next one ..

More omegaverse insanity!

Does this follow pretty much the same formula as all the others in the series so far - yes.

Do I care - no.

They are what they are, a boatload of omegaverse insanity with knotting, dirty talk, ridiculous butlers who are all brothers, sentient shopping trolleys and alpha males who have to look after their tiny mates and their offspring.

This is my favorite book in the series. Blade and Joey made for a great pairing, but Katie, an infant, stole my heart. Joey meets Blade as he’s running away from the kidnappers who took Katie from her parents.

Joey stumbled upon them when they were kicking the baby to make her shut up and Joey rescues her and has been on the run since. He hides in a department store and the kidnappers are making a scene and the police are called. Guess who the police officer was who saved Joey? Blade

I liked the book as it seemed well-balanced with romance, sex, chaos, invasions, and Blade fighting for all their lives. Well, Joey didn’t sit on the sidelines helpless; he fought for Katie's protection and to save his Dragon, Blade.

There’s humor with Hong, the butler, which everyone rolls their eyes at, and other characters' input. Joey’s love for collecting as many carts as Blade will allow for the teasing nature between the two, the many miscommunications, and the wonderful love that develops between the two.

I, also, loved the ending and reading about their lives many years later. Anyone can start the series from here, book 4, but it’s so much better to follow the lives of these incredible men. I highly recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Following suit on the other books, this one was focused on keeping Joey safe and Joe keeping a baby secret, in this case that the baby wasn't his. The phasing ability was cool, but ultimately it was the same as the rest, kidnappers, friends, another butler brother, sex and veggies. I did like the whole befriending carts thing. Hong was a laugh, more Telos/Mab teasing, two newbies to add to the baby secret list. The kidnapping was a surprise, curious where that one is going. Hong was the MVP for this one. Light hearted preggy cringe, an easy read to get into.

Joey and Blade are super cute together. Fun little story for those times you just want something easy and entertaining to read. Pretty much follows the same formula of the other books in the series, but still a good time!

Slightly ridiculous but highly entertaining

Joey and Blade basically meet, hook-up via phone and then hook-up in real life. So, it’s basically a lot of hooking up, but I’m not mad at it.

Joey’s running from the bad guys and Blade is just the guy to rescue him. I loved the always entertaining clueless alpha trying his best to win Joey over long term. Joey is certainly plagued by self-doubt, but it was nice to see Balde reassure him.

There was definitely loads of spice but the ending was extra sweet. I enjoyed this addition to the series quite a bit.

officially maxed out of smut for the day. not sugarcoating it at all when I say: pornos have stronger plots than this series does.

5 stars for the imagery, but I had a few problems with the story:

1: Joey is LITERALLY a blushing virgin. Got old real fast.

2: I've basically read the same book 4 times now, but with slight alterations in names/species of characters. The plot was so repetitive that I felt like I was losing brain cells after 4 straight days of this. I started feeling lethargic halfway through the book because Wineheart follows the same formula for her books.

3: The only difference between this and book 1 was the omega wasn't the bio dad of kid 1.

4: This entire series felt like Wineheart had bills to pay. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it felt like she wrote down potential romance plots for a new book on a cafe napkin JK-Rowling-(EW!!)-style, but decided to make her brainstormed scenarios for the same couple into a multibook series about completely different people. Like an omegaverse version of spiderverse, with different yet similar ways the MC and love interest got together. The names kept changing, but the 'alpha' and 'omega' MCs were so alike in personality, dynamics, and dialogue that I couldn't keep anyone straight. Each omega called the alpha a "giant of a man" and had the exact same fears that got in the way of their relationship.

5: I forgot the overarching plot often. Four books later, I couldn't tell you who's stealing the half-breed shifter babies or why. For this alone, I had to take away 1 star from my previous decision of 3 stars. Since that's about the only 'world-building' outlet we have, Wineheart refusing (or forgetting tbh) to answer important plot-driving questions in attempt to draw out her paycheck made the constant smut tiring. This series proves that balancing smut with plot is a lost art.

All that said, it's written pretty well. I'd recommend you should definitely take breaks between books - don't read it all in one go like I did, or you'll get whiplash as it all rapidly blurs together at a confusingly breakneck speed.

Here's Anna Winheart's "How To Hide Your Stolen Baby." It's the fourth novel in her Closet Baby Chronicles series. Because its part murder boyfriends (for the greater good) and part crack (soooo much crack).
["Ex-thief Joey has been sent to live with a policeman. Thing is, he stole his baby.

Ever since Joey stole a dragon-shifter baby, his life has become infinitely more difficult. The bad guys are after him, and Joey has absolutely no experience with flame-breathing little children.

So when his new friends set him up to stay with an upstanding policeman, things should take a turn for the better, right? Blade is huge, handsome, and Joey has an ever-growing crush on him.

Blade makes sure Joey has good food, he helps to patch up Joey's injuries. Blade looks at Joey like he wants to devour him, and Blade is also not human.

How long does Joey have until Blade figures out that he stole Katie, and decides that Joey isn't the mate he's looking for? Joey doesn't doesn't think his heart will survive it."]

This series! D: I flipping love this series! It's so sweet and spicy and the perfect combination of possessive and obsessive and that feeling of rightness while falling in love and learning to trust and AH D:

It took Joe 0.5 seconds to fall for Blade, and arguably, it took Blade even less than that. Between their supportive friends and more meddling than good butlers and fate itself, it didn't take them long to succumb to the feelings of lust and love.

And just when you think the series might be winding out, Anna introduces two new characters with their own magical babies who need protecting and who's hearts (their own) need claiming.

Trigger Warnings: past child abuse, violence, and more.

Another entertaining story in this alpha/omega shifter series. Joey, with Katie, is running from those who kidnapped her and has been receiving help from Valor and Samson but during their latest attempt to grab her, Blade, the town sheriff, steps in and saves them. An attraction then quickly ignites over phone calls before it becomes unsafe for them to live in the safe house and Blade again steps in to help. It's so sweet the connection that Blade has with little Katie but what he shares with Joey is a little of that plus a lot of heat! It may be first everythings for Joey but he wants it all with Blade, who is only too happy to be with the young man coming to mean so much to him.
The story line adds a little drama with Blade and the other alphas having to protect the home and babies from kidnappers but the relationship is full of happiness and hope for Joey who never thought of himself as good enough for another considering his background. One of my favourite things from this series, though, is the crazy butlers. This time it's Hong. They would do anything and everything to help their master but have no shame in embarrassing them and discussing absolutely everything out in the open.
Anna brings her fabulous wit again to these characters and I love the random talk of vegetables, heats and forever with mates and babies. Another hit in this series and I can't wait for book five.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

DNF @ 50% 28th March, 2025. No thanks. i'll stick to just her NC series. The sex here is not worth the hassle of trudging trough this otherwise nonsense book where nothing makes sense. And the receiver goes completely silent when the actual shit takes place way over at 50% mark! In an Anna Wineheart book!! Wtf??

Up until then when they used only sex toys he'd been b'tchin and moaning like his life depends on it. But when he takes the impossibly sizeable real thing though? Well, had this been a porn video you'd think it got accidentally muted. How Joey take that thing and not even say anything? No reaction, nothing. It just describes the action of Blade doing the thing and saying expositions like how big it is... But Joey is dead silent.

Because i promise you, this story ain't worth it. Nothing and no one makes sense. There's no plot but then again, it's no porn without plot either since sex doesn't even happen until way later. It's just nonsense and then this abysmal thing. Ugh. i hate it. Remind me to never check out her other books besides the already tried and tested ones.

Having Safe Place and Love

Joey is on run with the baby girl, Katie he saved from the bad guys. He thought was safe where he'd been hiding but still found him so he's put in protective custody with Blade who's a cop and dragon. Joey's been crushing on him and Blade's sweet on him. Even bought him food he needed for his self and Katie after being attacked at store. The panty part was epic so need to read this.

Blade doesn't mind one bit that they move in and helps since Katie keeps catching things on fire. He shows Joey how be loved and the sex they have is hot. Pepper scene I loved so much. There are so many funny parts mixed in with having to hide. Cute scenes with Katie too. Joey gets to have peace and happiness. Blade finds who he's been searching for in Joey and Katie plus the baby they create.

Hong who's Blade's butler wasn't a let down at all. That book he kept reading from had me laughing so hard. I can't wait for the next one.

Anna Wineheart is a joy

Anna Wineheart’s books are my happy place. This one is a winner. In his world where bad guys are hunting magic babies, Joey rescues one from evil kidnappers and has been in on the run with her for months. It’s so sweet because it’s one thing to risk your life for your kid, and another to risk your life for a stranger’s kid.

Enter Blade, the cop falling for Joey and offering to take some of the burden away. The only issue is, Joey loves Katie and doesn’t want to give her up. Which kind of makes him a kidnapper too.

So the kidnapper/rescuer and the cop. Drama. Plus it’s a case of a virgin and a thousand year old magic guy. Sexy.

Another joy is Hong the butler, obsessed with terrible pick-up lines that Anna Wineheart fans recognize are written by Dicky Mems aka Emmy from the Daddies For Dumpster Omegas series!

I am enjoying this series and this book does not disappoint. Joey and Blade are good together, it may be true that opposites attract but will that attraction be enough for these two? I loved Joey and Blade. Seeing the two work through everything and find their way made for a good read. Joey is a shy guy but he is willing to risk everything to keep a baby safe and just maybe Blade will see the good in Joey. This is another great couple in this series. I love how everyone cares and comes together to help each other. Alongside the romance we get a nice dose of humor and a splash of danger. I am enjoying this world and its characters. Each new couple draws me in more and I am eager to see what will happen next.

I immediately fell for Joey and Katie, but a close second was the shopping carts. I know I'm nuts. It was so reminiscent of Dragon Boss and the magic carts and locks. They'll always hold a special place in my heart. Blaze was magnificent and only got better as I read. Hong was so hysterical , I was roflmao. I need
a Hong of my own. His snark and banter are perfect. Twists and turns unexpected and weathered with finesse. The Wedding circle- happy circle memories. It was a real feel good book, and the friends chat-- omg!!! This is the old Anna from the good old days- yay, more please. I loved every morsel.

Absolutely fantastic

Another amazingly fantastic book in this series. I loved reading Joey and Blades story. It was funny, so sexy and has adorable babies. What more do you need. I loved the inclusion of the Dicky Mems pick up lines book and that Anna named a cart after herself.
This book is simply amazing from start to finish. Anna is honestly one of the best authors I’ve ever read and every time a new book comes out, I drop everything to read it, they make me laugh, swoon and get hot under the collar.
Congratulations Anna on another fantastic book, can’t wait to read the next one.

This was a good addition to the series. I enjoyed the chemistry between Joey and Blade. I liked that Joey, even as a timid, unsure omega, was the hero who gave up everything to save baby dragon Katie. Joey deserved all the protection and love Blade wanted to give him.
I'd like to know more about Joey's magic. Where did that come from, and how did he learn to do the things he can do? It's a really interesting and unusual skill.
The core group of omega friends have now found their own happy endings, but two other single dads have joined them, and we still don't know the ultimate goal of the evil villains. I don't think we're finished with the Closet Baby Chronicles just yet.

Well that was definitely a story that could be considered a book.
Obviously it was my fault for downloading this. I’m the problem in this equation. I went into this thinking I was going to read a mediocre/ okay ABO book that would further the overall plot line of bad guys trying to kidnap babies. I should have known that I was getting back page fetish porn. That's on me. I'm in no way intending to kink shame anyone, we all have different things that float our respective boats. But trying to run a football through a toilet paper roll is not one of mine.

Joey is an ex-thief who has stolen a dragon baby. Blade is a cop who is part of the group protecting special babies, and is friends with Joey’s friend’s mates. This was such a cute story and I loved how it turned out! Joey deserved a happy ending and being with Blade was good for his self-confidence as well. This series is best read in order as there is an over-arching narrative. This book will make you crack up laughing and you’ll see some Easter eggs from Anna’s other series. I highly recommend this book and the rest of the books in the series!

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

BLADE AND JOEY

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

This book is chocked with romance, villains, and adorable omegas who think they don’t fit. Blaze is a dragon shifter and Joey is a human. They meet when Joey is hiding in a department store and the kidnappers are after him and Katie, the stolen baby. Blaze, the cop, shows up and helps Joey out. Friends of all species are abundant in the story and of course, family and babies. I love this series of books. I especially love how Blade got his nickname.

Loved this and the characters! Joey is a sweetheart and despite all of his nerves and bumbling, he's incredibly brave and heroic. Blade seems more of a mystery in the beginning because a lot was told from Joey's POV. He has a pretty dorky sense of humor which I loved and he is deliciously filthy. I was really hoping for Mav and Telos to have a story next but with the introduction of Joey's friends, Quinlan and Wren, I feel it's at least two other stories away. It's no hardship to keep reading these though and I already have the next one pre-ordered!

Great addition to the series!

I loved How to Hide Your Stolen Baby by Anna Wineheart. It's the fourth book in the Closet Baby Chronicles series. I loved Blade and Joey's story. I loved that frogs were one of the things that Blade collects for his hoard and that Joey loves to collect shopping carts. Hong, Blade's butler, is a riot with the book of pickup lines that he gives everyone he meets a copy of. I also loved Blade's and Joey's friends and Blade's family. I loved that they got to adopt Katie.

I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited app.

Joey was not one to see a baby in danger and when he saw Katie being threatened, he did what he had to and took her to be safe. Being sent to live with policeman Blade is something he has to do in order to ensure they are both safe but his attraction to the policeman who has his own secrets is something that also cannot be denied.

A story that is best read in series order, this is a plot full of steam, danger, meddling friends and butlers and a HEA.

Perfection

I've been waiting for sweet Joey's story and I was not disappointed.
He's so sweet and caring but views himself through a distorted lens.
Blade is so kind and gentle with him, especially through his first time experiences.
Of course there's hilarious hijinks and snarky banter.
Katie is just the cutest baby and it really hurt to see Joey hurting over her possible future without him.
Thankfully that was resolved and I can't wait to get to know Quinlan and Wren.

And what can I say about the group chats!!!!! They make me giggle and now I have to wait months for the next book!!!!!!!
