2 out of 5 Stars for a shallow and boring read which misses a proper ending

8 years ago, Scott and Gaby shared a very special night together before vowing to never tell their friends about it, and before going their separate ways. But now, their group of friends is reunited again.

The flame between them never quite died but the timing for them was never quite right, especially since Scott is in a long-term but loveless relationship. But his friends staged and intervention and made him understand t

If you are a fan of the Time For Love series by Bethany Lopez (which I am) then you are going to LOVE this book. Scott and Gaby . I have been dying for their story and for them to FINALLY get together.

If you have read the series, you know Scott is engaged to a horrid women and his life is miserable because of her. I mean, he is headed down the path his parents have. He will be stuck in a loveless marriage. Thankfully, his friends stage an intervention and let him know, he can not make

This was a quick and easy read. I enjoyed the intervention idea of letting Scott know how desperate his friends were to get him to see the mistake of getting married to Victoria. He knew this himself, but felt stuck. Gaby, one of those frineds, and Scott share a wonderful past. They've been friends for years and even more than friends...once. With 42 hours to prove to Gaby they belong together, will Scott be able to convince her to take a chance on them?

ARC provided in exchange for honest review.

What can I say? Scott and Gabs story was absolutely incredible. The friendship was always there from the beginning and I loved to see how they finally gave there everything. It’s always great to see the gang and see there bond as strong as ever. Because there not only friends but family.

Audible review:

For two books we have seen Scott and Gabby circle each other and trying to ignore what they feel for each other. But for how much longer can they deny what has been brewing between them for nearly eight years? In 42 Hours by Bethany Lopez we finally get their story and though I have always felt they were made for each other; my heart broke a little as well for another character.

Scott has been engaged to Victoria in the two previous books and though he can see she may not be for

Bethany Lopez continues the individual stories of a group of friends since high-school that were more than friends, they were each other's family in 42 Hours. This is the third book in the series and it focuses on Scott's life, and him coming to terms with how he thought he should live it which differed from what would make him happy. I give this book 3.5 stars and would recommend this series to anyone who loves a heartwarming love story with a little bit of angst and many laughs. I absolutely l ...more

Continuing this fabulous romantic series, we have the story of Scott and Gaby. Friends since high school, prom night became a special night for them when they lost their virginity together. Circumstances after resulted in them never pursuing a relationship with each other but always remaining in each others lives as friends. Now that they are no longer in committed relationships with other people, will they finally be able to admit that they've wanted to be together all along?

I loved this story!

42 Hours is a great addition to what is becoming a can't miss series. A series that is both sweet and sexy.

I was really excited for this book because when we meet Scott and Gaby in this great group of friends, they are the ones you question will they have their moment. Their situation is always about bad timing.

Friends first, these two have a forever love that begs to find its HEA. BUT a change in Scott's relationship status which alters the place he is in h

After Scott's friends convince him that he shouldn't be marrying Victoria he finally breaks off the engagement and in doing so he realizes it's finally his chance to convince Gaby that they belong together. He comes up with a plan to get the whole group to a lake house for the weekend and make his move on one of his best friends and he has 42 hours to do it.

Gaby finally has decided to move on and convinces herself Scott and her are only meant to be friends.

I generously received a copy of this from the author.

First of all I'd just like to say that second chance at love stories are by far some of my favourites.

I first learned about these characters after reading the first book in the series a few months back. I loved them in that story and I was so, so happy to finally hear about Scott and Gabs.

Scott and Gaby have always had a connection that has spanned since junior high school. After a very important night they share at their junior prom, they b

Scott and Gaby have been friends since Junior year but she had been crushing on him long before. Unbeknownst to their circle of friends they had lost their virginity to one another at their senior prom even though they both went with different people. Those feelings they had for another just kept growing and growing but the timing was never there for them to try to have a real relationship.

Scott was engaged to Victoria which no one in the group liked. She was a cold

I have been looking forward to reading about Scott and Gaby’s story after it was revealed that they had shared one very special (and unexpected) prom night.

“When you meet the person you were meant to be with, time didn’t matter. When a relationship’s right, it’s right. And you don’t want to waste a minute of time apart from that person when you could spend it together.”

Scott gets a huge promotion in his career and finally purchases his dream car. The only thing holding him back for more was his

42 Hours is the third book in Bethany Lopez's Time for Love Series, and while part of a series, can also be read as a standalone. I've always enjoyed Bethany Lopez's writing, and have been looking forward to reading this installment in the series. 42 Hours is Scott and Gaby's story, and is a friends to lovers romance. Scott and Gaby shared one special night together in high school, and afterwards, decided to go back to being friends because neither wanted to mess that up. Eight years later, they ...more

I love Scott. I didn't like him with victoria she began to change him into someone that wasn't him but overall love Scott. Oh and poor Brock although I agree with Gaby you were more worshipping her than anything else. The true Gaby wasn't able to shine with Brock but with Scott we saw the wonderful, sweet kind and amazing Gaby. Scott was able to shine as well.

the book begins scott is in a bad place. Not bad like BAD but confused. He loves his job but wasn't sure who he was anymore. victoria had

I loved both of the previous books in this series, so I was happy for the opportunity to read 42 Hours and reconnect with the friends I had met in 8 Weeks and 21 Days.

42 Hours is the story of Scott and Gaby. They are good friends, who share the memory of their one night together, back on the night of their junior prom. Somewhere in the back of each of their minds, they've been wondering if they could be more to each

I was glad to get the chance to read this as I read book one in this series 8 weeks. 42 Hours is book 3 in the Time for Love series and centres around Gaby and Scott.
They are best friends who hooked up at the prom and they have been pining for each other ever since.

Scott calls of his engagement to Vicoria and peruses Gaby - he has a weekend, or rather 42 hours to convince her that now it their time, as he is fed up of shit always getting in the way of them being together. He has 42 hours before

This was a really good book. Very complimentary to the series. I absolutely loved the premise of the story line. For too long, it seemed to me Gaby and Scott danced around their feelings for each other, while ensuring the other was still in their lives. I was so relieved when Scott called things off with Victoria, that woman is a barracuda. Not at all what Scott needs. I was so happy that even though there were rough patches, Scott and Gaby were able to get through them and finally move

42 hours is book three in Time For Love Series. This is the first book that I've read from this series and author.
First I have to say I loved everything about these characters. Scott and Gabys story is a sweet and romantic feel good story. Friends since high school even though they had one night of romance they both decided on just staying friends. Through the years they've both been in different relationships but they never felt quite right. Except for that one night together in high school. Wi

I fell in love with Scott and Gaby in the first two books and could not wait to read their story. The love between these two absolutely melted my heart. I adore these two so much! Again (like the first two books in the series) I was turning page after page, eager to read what would happen next. 42 Hours was another one of Bethany’s stories with just the right amount of drama, heartache, love and humor. This was a quick and easy read that left me feeling happy & very much satisfied.

I also love that throughout this book although Scott and Gaby are the main couple it's based on we still see the other couples and how they are getting on.
I couldn't put this down I read it in one sitting. it's such a heart warming story of love and friendship.

42 Hours is the third book in the Time for Love series by Bethany Lopez. Again, another solid book with a storyline that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I am loving this series so far and the second chance romance feel that the books have taken. Is 42 hours enough time for Scott to convince Gabby he's worth it?

Scott and Gabby's story was one I really loved. I was waiting for it since the first book. I love how they have a connection from high school.

Gabby is a someone I could connect with, and Scott become my book boyfriend. I love how they spent the 42 hours. it was amazing.

I loved seeing where Sasha. TJ, Cal and Shell are up to as well.

I would high recommend this book.

I really didn't think these books could get better well let me just say I was wrong ... Gabby and Scott were adorable but what I like most about all these books is the fact that all the characters are in most of the story lines and that I like they all grow together in the books ...
