I may never have been to Bali, but I know people who simply adore the place. They say it has a magic quality that erases your worries and that you can’t help but smile when you’re there. That’s something that the protagonist of Rebecca Raisin’s new novella, Aurora, needs desperately. She’s organised a trip to Bali with her not-very-reliable boyfriend Denny to recharge herself and rekindle their relationship, but Denny fails to arrive at

The Heart of Bali by Rebecca Raisin is a quick finding yourself romance novella. Aurora finds herself alone and heartbroken in Bali. A thoroughly enjoyable story, guaranteed to whisk you away from the winter blues. The setting is exotic and appeals to all the senses with the coconut smells and sounds of the ocean. Marcel is the ultimate hero - assertive but gentle, good-looking but a charitable man with principles. Aurora is an appealing heroine whom you root for from the beginning. A fast-paced story that left me wanting more!

Rebecca Raisins novellas of the Gingerbread Café are so lovely, heart-warming and enjoyable. For that reason I was very excited to start The Heart of Bali. I was prepared to read something different compared to her other novellas. I can tell you, it was fantastic. I wish she'd write more stories like this.

Aurora, our heroin in the story, is supposed to go on vacation with her beloved boyfri

Review on my blog http://www.reviewedthebook.co.uk/2014...

The Heart of Bali is a captivating holiday romance novella. It’s very short which meant the author needed to do a wonderful job to build and develop characters to make the story feel believable. I thought Rebecca did this perfectly.

Aurora finds herself alone on her supposed holiday for two in Bali, after her boyfriend Denny fails to show up. Determined to let herself go and have a good time, she draws her attention to the dreamy French h

Getting a romance right is a hard thing to do. Getting one done right is even harder when it's only 30 something pages. For this reason I judged this book a little less harshly, however it was still only a 2 star read for me.

The story takes place in Bali where Aurora is taking a holiday away from her douche (ex?) boyfriend. In walks the wealthy 50 something Marcel with his "rippling abs" (yes this is how Aurora describes his

Aurora was supposed to go on a romantic holiday to Bali, but instead she's there on her own. At first she's overwhelmed by grief. She's worked so hard building her own successful company and now that she finally has that much deserved time off her boyfriend has ruined it. She's staying at a beautiful hotel in the middle of paradise and after a few days her luck is turning, because of the wonderful owner. Marcel shows her his favorite places on the island and Aurora is more bold with him than she

A short and very steamy story about a businesswoman, Aurora, who takes a vacation in Bali- a getaway she had originally planned with her boyfriend. A surprising turn of events, an unexpected fling, helps her realize that she doesn't need a man always with her. I also think she learned that she can enjoy the moment right now for what it is and what she had the privilege of seeing, eating, experiencing, and loving in Bali.

This novella was such a pleasure to read. The story is simple, but yet really fascinating.

Aurora finds herself alone and heart broken on beautiful and exotic Bali. What a great place to set a story, I loved reading about it; I really wanna go there now.

The attraction between Aurora and Marcel was obvious from the start; it was only a matter of time for them to get more intimate. They way their story progress was pass

I would like to say I love Rebecca's books and when I saw this being reviewed by another book blogger, I just had to go on Amazon and purchase. It definitely was a bargain.

We first meet Aurora when she is sat by the beautifully described pool in Bali, but for Aurora there is a sadness at being there, she is alone after her boyfriend lets her down at the airport and doesn't turn up for their flight. She is then told by a friend there are photos on his Facebook page.

Here she meets Marcel the Frenc

Ugh this is why I don't care for novellas. They suck you in, and then boom! It's over.

This is the story of Aurora who is supposed to go on vacation to Bali with her loser boyfriend. Said loser boyfriend misses the flight, she finds pics of him with a stripper on Facebook, and she leaves without him. She meet Marcel, the hotel manager, and they hook up in the limo. Boyfriend shows up, Marcel kicks her out, they have more sex, h

The Heart of Bali was a nice little book. I read it in about 3 hours. I kept my attention quite nice.

Aurora goes to Bali on what is supposed to be a romantic vacation, except her dead beat of a boyfriend cheats on her the night before and she leaves by her self. She spends her first few days crushed but then she meets the owner of the hotel Marcel.

Marcel is french but live in Bali and owns a wonderful resort on the beach. He is Sweet, sexy, intense, and protective all wrapped it a yummy yummy pa

I have received an ARC via NetGalley.

This short novella is about a romantic summer romance and even though I thought the relationship between the heroine and hero was too fast, the story managed to give me a brief glimpse of the holiday paradise Bali. However, I have a few remarks to make, in the book the heroine Aurora is described as a blonde, the cover shows a brunette and also, the couple on the cover seems to be younger than the couple described in the book. This was quite confusing.
But th
