We all do crazy things most of the time, but marring someone for security is at the top of the list for most woman, who think love can be left in the back of the mind, whist security will never wait.

In this read we meet Daniella, she needs a large dose of security in her life and what better way then to secure just that by marring I only need you to play the perfect wife role Leo Reynolds.

Business is business and friendship is all there will come from this arrangement, easy enough, or is it? Nope, no way, you guessed it, it is anything but easy because the minute Daniella and Leo get down to business sparks fly and the arrangement is goes up in flames.

I loved this author's writing and I am a huge fan of her books. This read was no different from her other books, she once again blew me away with scorching hot passion, stunning deep emotions and a wonderful story of romance, acceptance and balance.

The character of Leo drove me a little nuts , he was very cold and distant, and I really wished I could grab him, give him a good shaking up and get him to open up. But of course as we all know those are the hero's that have to get a little wake up call in life in order to shine as the true men they really are. The author did a fantastic job with this, taking Leo from cold, distant , arrogant idiot to kind, caring and loving husband. I adored how she let's him find the balance between the love of work and the love for a woman, it was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.

The character of Daniella was fabulous! I loved this character's spunk and sass so much! I was rooting for her from page one. Her doing the " I need to be THIS kind of wife" attitude made me remember that when we go after just part of what we want we are bound to end up with only half of what we deserve.

The entire read was a mixture of the author's signature crazy humor, passionate romance, fire-y spunk and sexiness. I am taking away a message of sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we know we need, but because we think we cannot have it we instead go after what we think is more important. Everyone in life deserves everything good and we should never go after just half of the happiness.

Review
This book is, like all Harlequin books, a short, quick read that is steamy and has a fair bit of angst. The characters though not memorable, are enjoyable and the writing draws you in from the first word. The issue I have with this book is the entire premise that the male lead thinks that all his problems will be solved if he marries a woman whom he's never met. I think that if the male character hadn't have been so daft and the female lead had've had more of a backbone rather than believing she had to change herself entirely for a man, I would've enjoyed this book a lot better.

I really enjoyed this book. The hero was very business/goal oriented almost to the point of being OCD. He was a workaholic to the extreme in my opinion. At first I didn't like him that much, but I just eventually started feeling sorry for him. I kept waiting for him to work himself into a heart attack before he and the heroine found their HEA.

Good book. Leo is a workaholic but needs a wife to help him with the social aspects of his job. He doesn't have the time or inclination to date, so goes to a matchmaker to help him find the right woman. He wants a wife who is willing to have a strictly business relationship. Daniella matches all the requirements. She is looking for security so that she can take care of her sick mother. She had dreams of the perfect marriage but was willing to give them up for a friendly partnership instead.

Neither of them expected the intense attraction that flared as soon as they met. Leo especially fights it as hard as he can. Long ago he realized that he has a rather obsessive personality. He fears getting so lost in his feelings for Daniella that he would ignore his business and lose everything. He had grown up poor and has worked hard for the success that he has achieved so far, even though he feels it still isn't enough. Leo has some deep seated insecurities that cause him to feel that he isn't good enough. It doesn't take long for Daniella to work her way under his walls and it scares him to realize just how much he wants her. He's convinced that he can't have a successful company and a real marriage at the same time.

Daniella accepts the terms of the marriage because she needs to take care of her mother. She also grew up poor. Signing up with the matchmaker seemed to be her best option after losing several jobs because of frequent absences. Leo has made his preferences clear - she isn't to expect any romance from him, his focus is on work. Her job is to take care of the other parts of his life. Her first sight of him blows her belief in that possibility away. She wants him in all ways in her life, but she knows that it won't be easy to convince him. She had worked hard to become the kind of person she thought he wanted, but found that her real self kept popping out. She can see that Leo has the potential to be a marvelous husband if she can just convince him of it.

I really loved seeing the two of them as they tried to reconcile their intentions with what was really happening. I loved Daniella's determination to show Leo that he could have it all. She had all kinds of little things that she would do to try to get her point across. She had quickly discovered that she wanted more than he was offering and she wasn't going to give up. Meanwhile, Leo was doing his best to block her from his mind and wasn't succeeding at all. This conversation said it best:

"You're driving me bananas. No. Worse than that." He squeezed the top of his head but his brain still felt as though she twirled it with a spaghetti fork. "What's worse than bananas?"

"Pomegranates," she said decisively. "They're harder to eat and don't taste as good."

He bit back a laugh. Yes, exactly. His incredibly perceptive wife drove him pomegranates. "That about covers it."

As the book progressed, Daniella started to gain confidence in herself and her abilities. I loved seeing her work with the matchmaker to help others the way that she had been helped. It also made her realize that she deserved more than she had been getting. Leo also had some changes to go through. From the rather cold, aloof man, determined to keep Daniella at a distance to the relaxed and happy husband was not an easy journey for him. He got a less than pleasant look at himself when his friend Dan made some obnoxious comments about Daniella. He also had to learn about how to have balance in his life. That was a lesson learned from a young man that Leo was mentoring, and was another fun scene in his transformation. Leo's fears were easy to understand as more was learned about him, and I loved seeing the way that Daniella loved and supported him.

I really enjoyed reading Matched to a Billionaire, Kat Cantrell is one of my favorite authors and when I had the chance to read this book I read it right away and it didn't disappoint. Leo Reynolds is looking for a convenient wife, one that will host his parties, look over his schedule and be strictly business. He hires a matchmaker to pick him the perfect wife, with the condition that love will not be part of their marriage.

Handpicked by a matchmaker, Daniella White accepts the marriage contract to be able to help cover her mom's medical procedures. She willingly sacrificed her future at happiness all to be able to help out her mother. But neither of them meet until the very day of the wedding and that's when sparks fly and their attraction becomes mutual. The more they start to spend time with each other, Leo realizes just how attracted he is to Daniella and wishes for them to get closer, but the minute he sees more than just passion in their lives he starts to pull back. He has worked all his life to achieve the success that he has to let it all go if he gets distracted by falling in love, it's just not in his plans. But Daniella makes him feel different, and he'll have to decide if he is going to fight for her love or to let her go.

It is evident right away that both characters need each other, their marriage is not just about attraction, but about love. There were times when I wasn't sure if I liked how the characters reacted to certain situations. Leo becomes obsessive/jealous and Daniella a bit demanding. Aside from that the ending was perfect and the writing flowed very well throughout the story that it just makes one want to keep reading until the very end. I definitely recommend it.

4 Match Made in Heaven Stars!

So I'm a gluten for books like this, arranged marriages to billionaires! I mean come on who doesn't like to daydream like that! This was the perfect book for me right now: Light, funny, easy, really the perfect escape.

Daniella White is looking for stability, not only for her, but her very ill mother as well. Leo Reynolds is looking for the same. He needs a wife only not one who needs a whole lot of attention, he's looking for someone who can run his house, shmooze his coworkers, a glorified personal assistant.

Hello match making service.

Compatible on all 47 points of personality the two marry. Only neither was expecting to have such a strong attrition for one another. Especially not Leo who is as he puts it "married to his job" and has no means to change that. So instead of acting on his feelings he tries to push Dannie away. Well let me tell you Dannie isn't having it, she knows Leo wants her just as much as she wants him and she'll do whatever it takes for him to realize that he can have it all in life; a wife and a successful career.

-----

So like I said I loved this book! It's an easy read that'll have you laughing, about pomegranates no less! If you're looking for something fun and light between all those dark books I would definitely check this one out!

Sukaaaaa.... temanya nikah kr faktor deal2an, tp ya endingnya HEA **seriesnya jg HEA Kan**

Lanjut baca buku 3 ah, si Dax temennya Leo yg nyebelin abis.. (biasanya mereka b2 ini kan pinjem2an pacar sebelum Leo merit) dan sebel bgt sama si Elise kr ngejodohin Leo hmpfh..

Love is something wonderful but he believes that if he falls head over heels he will end up like his father, oh my was he wrong.

This was an interesting story. It was sort of like an arrange marriage but this one happened with the help of a matchmaker and her computer. I really couldn’t put it done because I wanted to know if his heart could ever open up to the possibility of loving his wife. He is the one that was looking for one but to me for all the wrong reasons. The only thing that could happen would be heartache.

Leo Reynolds and Daniella White were a perfect match and they both needed each other. He need an assistant someone that could arrange his life but to me he should have just hired a personal assistant that slept as his home instead of actually finding a wife. Now she had her own reason and that was her mother was critically ill and needed help security to take care of her. All she asks from him is friendship in the beginning but it seems that he can’t even be her friend. He is taken by her because she is perfect, the perfect woman for him and he can’t see himself taking her to bed. Only she has other strategies to get what she wants but it could blow up in her face.

Matched by a Billionaire was a good read. The characters were well developed and their relationship was very detailed. I was able to connect with both of them and I felt so bad for Dannie because she had fallen in love with Leo from the moment that her eyes connected with his. There were times that I wanted to slap Leo because he was so harsh and mean, he didn’t have to treat her like if she had no feelings but in the end he felt the pain. The passion between these two characters was hot just the hot stares that they share is cause for a cold drink to cool off.

Ms. Cantrell has talent for writing, it flows smoothly and it’s captivating. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

I enjoyed reading this book, much to my suprise. I'm not really new to Harlequin novels. My friends and I used to read a lot of these before. For one, it's an easy read. Also, you're sure that you are going to get a happy ending.

It's got the same basic structure of a Harlequin novel. A rich man and a strong heroine, meets in some unusual circumstance and basically thrown together. Girl falls in love with the guy. Guy does not do commitments, leaves the girl hurt, or worse broken. Guy realizes he has feelings for the girl and gets her back. Then happy ending.

However, this has somehow got me hooked. Leo Reynolds, the billionaire, wanted to find a wife in mutual convenience. He got matched to Daniella White via matchmaker. From their marriage, Dannie wanted friendship and for their love to grow, which Leo wanted too, but he didn't expect their chemistry and attraction to be so raw and real that it takes off his focus from work.

This is where it stands out from other Harlequin novels that I've read before. Leo realized that he has feelings for her early in the novel. He acknowledged it to himself, albeit denying it to his wife. I like that the author gave an input on Leo's perspective because most of the other Harlequin novels I've read only focused on the female lead and I didn't get to know that the guy has strong feelings for the main character up until I get to the ending.

Dannie is one hot vixen. I love her persistence, but sometimes I think it's too much that I almost see her so desperate. Anyway, I like that she's a realist.

Overall, the book is a good read. It somehow exceeded my expectations based from other Harlequin novels I've read before.

See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning.

My Thoughts:

Holy wow. I'm starting to get into these Harlequin books. Interesting story lines, intriguing characters... This one was absolutely amazing.

Leo and Daniella start out in this story as complete strangers, marrying after being matched. They both had their reasons for this arranged marriage of convenience. Neither one of them is prepared to actually like being married. They have their first real kiss and the dam breaks open. As much as they try (and try) to stop wanting more, it becomes more (and more) impossible than they imagined. The spark is there, and flames are likely to occur, and they do. Very nicely. And the banter was hilarious:

"You're driving me bananas. No. Worse than that." He squeezed the top of his head but his brain still felt as though she twirled it with a spaghetti fork. "What's worse than bananas?"

"Pomegranates," she said decisively. "They're harder to eat and don't taste as good."

He bit back a laugh. Yes, exactly. His incredibly perceptive wife drove him pomegranates. "That about covers it."

Matched to a Billionaire had me reading late into the night. I couldn't stop wondering when and if things would change, what would cause their hearts to change. Leo and Daniella's love is impossibly hard to resist. Cannot wait to check out more from this line from Harlequin AND from Kat Cantrell.

Daniella (Dannie) White is a romantic who wants to be a wife and mother. She no longer has the option of waiting for her prince to come along, her mother is sick and she needs security.

Leo Reynolds is a venture capitalist who’s business is number one in his life, which doesn’t leave much time for relationships. The longest he’s been with the same woman is a few weeks. He needs a woman who can manage his life, host his business parties and not expect more from him then financial security. They meet through the match maker, they are perfectly matched, but can a marriage survive without love?
“Leo’s admin talked for a solid hour and then sent a dozen emails full of links and instructions about the care and feeding of a venture capitalist.”

This book was a good read with an interesting plot. I liked that the female character saves the male character. Leo is a bit manic in my opinion, but he’s likable none the less. He’s emotionally closed off and says things to Dannie to push her away, but Dannie is a strong woman and sees through him. I give this book 3 stars.

Overall: Leo is in need of a "wife", someone who can take care of the home aspect of his life, while he handles the business. So after so research online he find Ever After Inc. and they guarantee to match him to the right person. Enter Danielle, her mother is sick and growing up her mother told her to find a man for security not love, so she feels that this is the right thing for her. After a few months she is groomed and ready to become Leo's wife and they have a small ceremony in a living room. At first sight both of them are attracted to each other, but Leo wants to put Daniella in a nice neat box, with no complications. Even though Leo works all the time, Daniella wants a real connection with him and starts on all out mission to get that. At fist he rebuffs every advance she makes until they finally make love. Than Leo starts to see that keeping her in "the box" is not the right thing and they both end of falling head of heels for each other.

Cons: Leo was just a straight up asshole for most of the book and I just wanted to smack him upside the head and get him to see the light earlier.

The book begins when Leo realizes he needs a wife who won't get emotionally attached to him so he can stay "married" to his work, but have all the benefits of a wife. So he goes to a matchmaking service that sets him up with Dannie. Dannie needs help paying for her mother care because she is currently sick and dieing. So she agrees to marry some one to help out, but she also believes that she won't ever have a love match so this type of marriage is perfect, until she starts falling for her husband.

This book was very good. It was very well written with a very interesting story line. I must say I've read quite a few books that have the hero and heroine get married for some weird reason then fall in love. But this one was very good. I really loved both characters. Dannie was very interesting even though I felt she whined a little bit to much, but other than that I felt she was wonderful with how honest she was with her feelings. And poor Leo just didn't know how to really express his feelings at all. I actually felt sorry for him at times, but he eventually made through in the end. I also look forward to more books in the series now.

4.6 Star Review - Matched To A Billionaire (Happily Ever After, Inc. - book #1)

I recommend this book.

This book includes drama, passion, heartbreak, and romance throughout the entire story.

Daniella is marrying for security. Leo is marrying for someone to organize his life. He needs a wife who will not complain when he is never home as he is a workaholic.

Daniella wants to be friends with her husband. She is attracted but would love nothing more then to first be friends.

Leo does not have time to be attracted to his wife. She is distracting him from his work and that is not something he planned on.

Can Daniella and Leo become friends or are they better off apart. Can she live with him and ignore him so he does not cause her any more pain?

This book contains a passionate story with two people struggling to live together before ever meeting. Both characters are strong. You will find yourself feeling Daniella's pain as she struggles with living with Leo. Kat writes sweet but passionate romances that keep you turning the pages. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Daniella White and Leo Reynolds both went to matchmaker Eloise for different reasons. Leo is a venture capitalist who has no time to put into dating and decided a marriage of convenience where a wife will oversee his business needs while he works at all hours would suit him. Daniella needs security; security to provide health care for her mother and she's willing to give up love for it, or so she thinks. Eloise is more than a matchmaker; she's a makeover and makes-over Daniella into the perfect woman for Leo! However, Eloise is also wise and knows that these two people are really destined for each other. As Daniella discovers this for herself, she needs to find a way to convince Leo that all work and no marriage isn't good for anyone. Is there a HEA for them?

It's a twist on the typical Cinderella tale as the author claims but an interesting one. Both characters are well-drawn and believable. Some of Leo's beliefs are hard to swallow at times but when he finally realizes what he's missing, he's a lovable but flawed human being.

Solid, fun-to-read romance. If you're looking to go on a romance novel binge, I'd definitely recommend this: it doesn't fall into too many of the stupid cliches, and the characters are pretty interesting and engaging - Daniella more so than Leo, I thought, but that's partially because I didn't totally buy his "obsessive personality" thing as a flaw. His obsessive personality - which was touted as his major character flaw - caused him to basically go full immersion with whatever he did: work, women, hobby, etc. The way it was presented sort of bordered on mental illness and I couldn't help but wonder if he could get treatment for it. If it were scaled back a bit, or used less as his Major Stumbling Block/Trauma, I might have bought it more.

Daniella, on the other hand, was largely charming, and I enjoyed reading about her. As for the romance, it wasn't the sexiest, most amazingest I've ever read, but it was decent.

This is the first book from the series.
I fell in love with Leo as soon as I know the male character's name was Leo. :D
I loved him more when I know he had this drawing talent. And more and more as I kept reading the book. I can even see myself in him. Maybe I need the male version of Daniella in my life. XD

I kinda wish there would be a story about Tommy. I know the next book would be about Juliet. But do I really have to wait for August??? And September for the third book?

Lesson I learned:
I realized that although the parents loved each other and enjoyed the life by being together, no matter how hard the situation was, sometimes it doesn't necessarily give the security feeling for the children. They don't always perceived it with the same point of view.

Interesting plot and a cute story but I've read a few very similar to this one. It's very hard to write an original story when there are several books out there about marriages of convenience. Still, a well written book, fast paced and easy to read. It goes without saying that I couldn't bring myself to like Leo which made Danniella the star of the book, a very persistent heroine with a funny personality. This was the first time I read a book by Kat Cantrell and I really liked the way she writes, so I'll probably read a few of her books even though I won't read more books in this series.

I received a copy of this book for free, through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

4.2 Stars. Public Library 3/16/15. I wasn't sure what to expect. It's not often that these type of books are really good mostly they tend to hover in the mediocre range. In this case I was pleasantly surprised... a lot happens emotionally especially considering this is a shorter story.

Leo and Daniella's love builds from time as they both combat their fears to strive for what they really want out of life. Daniella's mom is sick so she can't keep a job due to her mother's care demands. In search of security she goes to a matchmaking service where she is paired up with Leo. Leo gives a new definition to the word workaholic. All he wants and needs is a wife to run his personal life so he can focus solely on business. Daniella and Leo's world collide when they get married and try to fit their new relationship into their old way of life. Can they work past their issues to find happiness?

I'm really torn with my feelings about this book. There were so many things that I liked but there were a few things I didn't like, things that were kind of a big deal. I didn't like Leo for the majority of the book. He was constantly running hot & cold, with no warning & his obsessive personality was kind of annoying. I wasn't a huge fan of Daniella either..for part of the book she was trying to suppress who she really was & for the other part it was like she was trying to manipulate her husband. The overall story was good & I feel like if the two main characters had been portrayed a little differently it could have been a great story.

This was a light and easy read, almost laugh out loud at times. It was nice to spend an afternoon reading a charming love story with a strong premise and wonderful characters.
I think that what I liked best was Kat Cantrell's ability to show her character's natural growth and maturation as they slowly came to a realization of love. He characters were so fully faceted that even the slightest changes were delineated and organic. Top that off with a wonderful and much anticipated happily ever after and I really enjoyed this read.

Matched to a Billionaire by Kat Cantrell This book is about a venture capitalist, Leo Reynolds is super committed to his work so much so that he doesn't have time for dating.  He needs a wife...someone to run the house, host parties and accept the fact that he will hardly be home.  Daniella White is handpicked by a matchmaker to be the wife Leo needs.  She marries for security not for love but sparks fly the moment they meet.

This book was really interesting!  It was well written and had a unique premise.  I really enjoyed it and hope I find the rest of the series soon.

"2.5 out of 5 stars. A Cinderella-esque type of romance novel where a match making service sets up the hero and heroine and they have strong feelings when it comes to staying married no matter what. Together Leo & Dannie match up perfectly; it just takes a while for them both to believe it."

Sementara heroinenya butuh suami kaya demi membiayai ibunya dia yg sakit. Yah, singkat kata : cinta datang karena terbiasa. #SinopsisYgGakBanget #digampar

When I first started reading the romance genre, I began with Silhouette's Desire collection. I then moved on to more contempory romance novels instead of buying 6 books a month. This was my first book back into the Desire series (harlequin) in about 6 years. What a way to get back into it! I loved this book and soon began searching for more Desire books to start reading again. Wonderful read!

Playful and fun, Matched to a Billionaire was a very quick read. The chemistry that Leo and Dannie had was potent. The conflict that existed between them was unique which made the story quite interesting. I loved the matchmaking angle. I found the supporting characters to be intriguing, especially Tommy, Juliet, and Dax. I would love to hear more from them.
