In late 1943, Helen Meeker’s team reunites to uncover the reason why a man refuses the Medal of Honor he deserves. Unraveling this mystery takes Meeker and her team on a life and death chase. Their original, seemingly simple case quickly explodes into a complex adventure where they must find a man called Horse, uncover why Hitler hired a mobster to contribute to the Nazi cause, face a legendary hit man who wants to add them to his list of victims, and perhaps uncover a treasure once sought by the Spanish Conquistadors.

Time Walker is a story of self-sacrifice, honor, and difficult moral choices—an adventure that demands from its heroes diligence and wisdom, and a plot that examines the value of each life in a world where prejudice is common and accepted.

The newest book of the In The President's Service, Time Walker did not disappoint! Helen Meeker, Teresa Bryant (Morning Song) and Napoleon Lancelot are dynamic characters with diverse backgrounds and colorful personalities.

This story. while woven during the time Hilter’s atrocities were shaking the world, has a narrative that also encompasses an accurate portrayal of the atrocities faced by Native Americans and other people of color during that time frame. But the focus of the story is a mystery, or mysteries. Why does a hero not want to be recognized? What secret does a small town in New Mexico have that Hitler wants? How far will evil men go to gain wealth?

Collins uses his superb storytelling skills to draw you into the story. You cheer for the good, detest the bad and feel empathy for the misused.

This can be read as a stand alone but I would encourage you to read the entire series if you have not.

As usual, Ace Collins draws you in from the first page and doesn't let you go until the last page of the solved mysteries. He is masterful in weaving in history, spell binding plot, and believable characters. Highly recommended.
