Cat Crawford just wants to be normal—or at least as normal as a daughter of Hollywood royalty can be. And it looks like fate is granting her wish: she’s got an amazing boyfriend, Lucas; her fabulous cousin, Alessandra, living with her; and her dad planning his second marriage to a great future stepmom. That is, until her prodigal mother reveals on national television that ...more

My Not So Super Sweet Life Review on K-Books

**Please Note: This review is based on the Beta Copy of this book**

"Miss Crawford, you best prepare yourself, because you're gonna swoon your ass off."

Ever since starting this amazing series I have been dying for Rachel to write a third book. I was so excited when I heard that there would be a third book in the series. My Not So Super Sweet Life is everything I could have wanted in this wrap-up of the series. It wraps everything up nicely and I rea

Y'all I don't know if you have ever read anything by Rachel Harris, but seriously she is like a writing goddess. There has not been on book of hers that has not left me with this HUGE, goofy grin on my face at the end, and I'm here to tell you that MNSSSL was no different. I have followed Cat through her journey in MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY and A TALE OF TWO CENTURIES, this book ended her journey so fantabulous!

Lets start with the feels!

So excited to have an advance peek at this story, but then we loved all the books following Cat and Lucas. My Not So Super Sweet Life is full of toe-curling romantic moments as well as laugh-out-loud snippets that are such a hallmark of Rachel Harris' work. Really appreciated the highly visual aspect of the story too... we vote for a film version! Fun, funny and super romantic, My Not So Super Sweet Life is a sweet read :-). ...more

You guuuuuuys!! This was my favourite book in the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series! It was so much fun.

For starters, the other books in the series were fun and fluffy. They were cute and fun to read, which was just what I was looking for at the time. But My Not So Super Sweet Life dug deeper. It focused more on romantic relationships and coming to terms with a shitty parent. It felt like a more serious book.. but also a more romant

WOW! Rachel Harris did it again!! If I could give her more than the limit of 5 stars for her writing I would easily give her stars! She has such a way with words and gets you so attached to the characters, you hate finishing and knowing you have to wait for another book! I can't wait to see what will happen next! So, to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the story would be saying it! LOVED IT! :) ...more

I cannot tell you all how much I just love this series by Rachel Harris! It is seriously one of my all time favorites and I really loved this one so much because Cat and Lucas just hold a really special place in my heart. We get our share of familiar faces in this one and we get some unexpected new ones too! This book was just really cute and whew did it make me swoon! I love Austin hardcore, but Lucas Capelli is one sexy guy!

At almost 190 pages, My Not So Super Sweet Life is the finale of the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series and brings together all the main characters from the previous two books into one final send off that is sure to be a hit with readers.

My Not So Super Sweet Life is very different from the first two books in the series, but just as wonderful to read! The first book, My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century, featured Cat as the narrator and center of the story. The second, A Tale of Two Centuries, was told by Alessandra as she went on her own journey. This third novel tells the story of Lucas and Cat through their alternating viewpoints. There is also no time travelling in this one, although there just may be some Reyna gypsy magic goin ...more

I loved the first two books in this series. They were such fun and mindless reads that immediately lit up my mood. When Rachel mentioned that she was writing another Cat story, I was absolutely delight. While the first two books were more on the fun side, My Not So Super Sweet Life was more serious and I do think it's my least favorite out of all three books. However, that doesn't mean that this was awful by any means.

Cat has always been a little insecure and afraid to form new relationships. In

Jennifer's Review:
My Not So Super Sweet Life is the finale of the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series. It brings together everyone that we have come to love from the previous two books into one great ending to the series.

The story:
We have followed Cat through her journey since the first book: MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEENTH CENTURY. In My Not So Super Sweet Life 16 year old Cat Crawford finally comes to a resolution on issues regarding being abandoned by her own mother and issues with being loved

Special thanks to Entangled Teen for giving my grabby hands a copy of this gorgeous read before it was released! I just finished reading it and it is to die for! This story was a wonderful wrap up for Cat and Lucas and I'm still drying my happy tears guys.

The cover is to die for. Cat and Lucas are so...them. Well, except for the dress, 'cause we all know that Cat doesn't normally do dresses like but...oh, you'll see. The models are wonderful for the cover except I still see Lucas as a baby-face.

My heart is a gooey, sappy, melted mess after reading this sweet book! It was so swoonalicious!! And yes, I understand what the red squiggly line that is under that word is telling me, I know it's not a real word. However, it's the only one that fits. Cat's character is one I feel like many of us can relate to. No, not the fact that her dad is a hot shot Hollywood director, or that her mom is a crazy famous movie star. Obviously, very few can relate to that, but she has insecurities that I'm sur ...more

Reading My Not So Super Sweet Life was bittersweet. I enjoyed all the awesomeness of Cat and Lucas but dread the possibility of this being the last book in the series.

Cat’s life has been all but simple ever since her magical trip to the 16th century, where she befriended the young and shy Alessandra and met the charming Lorenzo. Back in the 21st century, with her best friend at her side and a hottie for a boyfriend, Cat wants to have a normal happy life for once. But then again, her life’s never

I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a long standing fan of Rachel Harris. I really enjoyed My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century, and completely fell head over heels for the companion novel, A Tale of Two Centuries. Now, Cat is back in My Not So Super Sweet Life in alternating first person perspectives with Lucas, a relative newcomer and love interest. We get a taste of him in the first two novels, but this the first time he takes center stage.

Note: I received an eARC of this book from the publisher. This in no way affected my opinion of this book.

My Not So Super Sweet Life by Rachel Harris was a fun, quick, swoony read. The plot was a bit predictable, but I loved it no less. The ending was good, resolving many issues particularly for Cat, but also suggested a possible 4th book in the series for a new character.

In this installment, Cat must face her mother. Lucas, her boyfriend, along with all her other friends and family were very su

I adored the first two books in this series, so much so, I couldn't wait for this one to be released. I wasn't disappointed...

I expected another journey - to the past - but this journey was actually in the present time and Cat coming to terms with those around her and what she means to them... Her 'real' mother is a huge part of this and without spoiling anything, Cat allowed me to 'punch' the air when she gave her speech in the restaurant - go girl!!

I loved this story, Cat, Luc, Austin and Less

I cannot say how much I absolutely love this series!!! Everything about it makes me all swoony!

Rachel Harris knows how to write her characters. They are sweet, confused, and trying to learn how to fumble through their lives. I think having a story told from Cat and Lucas’ point of view was great. I liked being in both of their heads, and seeing pieces of what’s been happening being put together. I am not a fan of Cat’s mom. She had me grinding my teeth, and shooting daggers with my eyes.

I loved My Not So Super Sweet Life, this was such a fun and quick read.

Loved the all characters, they each add to the storyline and show us what a close and supportive group of friends they've all become.

Lucas and Cat are perfect for each other. I was left feeling full of happy feels, Lucas had me swooning on more than one occasion. Cat is one lucky girl ;)

I'm a huge fan of Rachel Harris's writing and I highly recommend all her work, can't wait to read more in the near future :)

To make this short and "super sweet" I will just say that this book is a great read. Of course we knew it would be because It is the product of the awesome that is called Rachel Harris. I mean, come on. Who doesn't like the "rest of the story"? Ok maybe we didn't want the series to end, but all good things must come to an end and Rachel finished it out superbly. And who knows where the future, or past, lies? Perfect ending for our sweet Cat. And no, I won't go on. It is far too good to give away ...more

This one was a fun, quick read. Loved the plot line, loved getting inside Lucas's head and I absolutely loved the ending.

There seemed to be an opening for maybe a spin off of sorts...perhaps I'm just seeing what I want. Either way, this series had been enjoyable and entertaining.

On the positives I really liked the glimpse into Lucas this story offers as for the first time in the series he becomes more than Lorenzo's doppelganger, but this story changes the direction of the series in a number of ways, we're presented with another doppelganger in the form of Cat's surprise brother who looks just like the older brother Alessandra left behind in the past. What we don't see is Reyna other than in a short scene at the end which hints that something more is to come but she won ...more

Ever since I read My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century and A Tale of Two Centuries, I've been waiting for the next book in the series to come out. I was thrilled when I heard it was coming out soon, and when I got the chance to read an ARC, I was even more thrilled.

Normally, I like to finish a book and write my review while it's fresh in my mind. With this book, unfortunately, that wasn't possibly. I couldn't form a coherent thought, much less write a coherent review. LOL

This book is a cute-fest; full of appealing characters, realistic dialogue and a sweet, coming of age romance. It would be impossible not to fall for its charm.

First Line of My Not So Super SweetLife:

“Once upon a time (say, like, four months ago), the phrase girl bonding was a foreign concept.”

My Thoughts on My Not So Super SweetLife:

I love the way the story starts with “Once upon a time” as this book has a very fairytale-esque feel to it. You have a main character that is sweet, a hand

I love Rachel Harris's books! She's insanely talented at sweeping you away into her stories and making you feel lost in the characters' lives and what's happening to them. I didn't want to put My Not So Super Sweet Life down at all. Short and sweet, this book had me giggling and smiling the entire time I read it.

This is the third book in the My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century series, but there's enough explanation about the storyline that it can be read by itself - although I definitely recommend
