Every princess should be kissed. And by a man who knows what he's doing. Beatricia had been enjoying just that with Farris Turner when she was caught.

But running only drives her into the arms of a stranger. A man who wants to offer her one night together, to offer her the experience her life and duties in the city of Sun-Airor--a place set out of space and time--have denie

This was a really quick reading... that takes place in a future... a past? Who knows?

The book was really short, but a bit confusing for me. I think if it was a bit longer, I could understand more the temporal space.

It was a forbidden love, permitted too fast for me.

He is a body guard, and she is a princess from another species (I think)... And they need to fight or accept their fate.

Honestly, I think this could have been a great book/story if wasn't done in 50 pages and if 95% of it, wasn't she
This was a very short story about a couple who finds each other against all odds. I liked it but it was nothing special maybe because I was missing a deeper insight on the characters and the world. The world building seemed to be very profound but the story did Not show that clear enough.

Nevertheless it was a sweet story for a rainy afternoon

Time Bending Love

This short story is well-written and ethereal. There’s a back story, I think (I am not sure), in another series, but I am unable to discern that. It’s pretty easy to catch on though. The theme here is duty and love, and there’s ultimately a stroke of luck right around the stroke of m

Kissed is everything I like about Kim Knox's books, excellent writing, good world building, great chemistry and a very unique plot line. She also excels in everything being short and concise, which as a fan, makes me scream for more and for those who are starting to just read her books, this little quirk of hers might drive them crazy for a few seconds. Kissed is basically a star crossed lovers story. Bea and Turner belong to a world that is called an in-between realm. Bea is royalty, Turner her ...more

A very interesting concept is introduced in this novella. Branching is the ability to cross worlds that is embedded in the royal family's genes and is activated through skin. That's why touching is forbidden to princess Beatricia. That's why she's so alone and craves for love. Duty to her people and city comes first, though, and she cannot escape it. The heart and the body have their own ways because she cannot forget that one kiss that still lingers on her lips. Turner, her bodyguard, lost his ...more

Kissed by Kim Knox was a steamy short novella that was a tad science fiction. I don’t normally do to much sci-fi but by the description I didn’t think it was but once you get to reading it you learn she is not human. I thought Kissed was a quicky sexy read that was fun and entertaining and sometimes it’s nice to get away from the 3-400 page reads.

Bea, is duty bound by your royalty to marry another royal to keep their blood going. She is not in love with her betrothed but knows that she must do w

So, I finished Kissed by Kim Knox. Basically it's a novella about a princess, Beatrice, who's about to marry some other guy, but she really loves someone she's not suppose to, Farris Turner. However, the guy disappears and she's hopping around different time and space before she does her duty. She runs into a guy that reminds her of Turner.

So, you got the gist of the story. Honestly, it was okay. I thought the premise of the story was interesting, but once I started re

This is a novella. A real quick read. I enjoyed reading it though I wished it's a little bit longer to know more about the main characters - Turner & Bea. Know their back stories and the world they came from. All I was given was glimpses and brief intro about their world, Bea's royal duty, Turner's role in her life and of course, Bea's incoming marriage to a guy she never loved but was forced to, in ord
This one just didn't hit the spot for me. While there were quite a few very hot scenes, there just wasn't enough storyline. The story that was presented seemed to be an afterthought to the sex. Because of this I just didn't sync with either character. Beatricia is out for what seems to be a one night stand, but I never really understood why.

The ending was sweet, and it would have been nice if I had felt more about what was going on throughout the story. If you're looking for more of an erotica b

Hmm...I just I dont know. I liked the story, but it felt like it was very uneven. You enter the story with no help. Now build up, just dropped into the story.

Bea is running? She has lost someone is destined to marry someone else and I believe she has some sort of powers. (again you weren't really given anything to begin with and have to piece it together in this short story.)

Aidan, Turner? is her bodyguard, and her mother is a queen, and she is being put through a test? I'm telling you its got

When I first started reading this, I was a little confused. It's a different world where one can go from one location to another using a portal? I think I got that right. It was not as clear as I wanted it to be, but I got the overall idea.

This is a very steamy short story that will leave the reader wanting more. I sure did anyway!

I liked how loyal Bea was to her duties, but she was also very affected by Turner and was fighting her inn
I received an ARC through NetGalley.

Kissed was cute, yet weird, but interesting. It's also one of those story ideas that's better suited to a full-length novel rather than a 40 page novella. Bea can travel between parallel worlds, which is exactly what she's doing in order to...I'm not sure. She's a princess who was caught kissing her bodyguard, and she's engaged, so she's trying to get away from it all, I suppose. Then she meets Aiden and agrees to go back to his room with him in order to try t

Just as they are caught she Branches to other parties in other realities. In her final stop she thinks that she should use some

Enjoyable, though I spent much of the first half of the novella feeling vaguely confused. A bit more world building was needed for it to make sense, at least in my head. The ending was immensely satisfying, though, and made up for much...I'd definitely read more from this author in the future.

This was a little hard for me to get into. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on, and with how short this book is... it was pretty much when I was finished when I grasped it. It did flow nicely, but I just couldn't like the characters or make any connection. I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This is a short read that contains romance and science fiction. It has the potential to be a more detailed book that gives a greater depth into the characters. Even in this quick read true love conquers all.

Thank you Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for ARC.

Kim lives on an ancient boundary line, once marked by a Neolithic burial tomb. The tomb’s now a standing stone circle–thank the Georgians for that one–and stirs her mind with thoughts of history and ancient myths. She mixes the essence of the past into fantasy, along with the essential mix of magic and sex. She also writes science fiction romance, pushing out into the far future with effortlessly ...more
