Delightful! A wonderful tale of a widow and her daughter, both fearful of marriage because of the widow's horrible experience with her late, unlamented husband, who unexpectedly find love during the daughter's first Season.

The book is a sequel to The Jilting of Baron Pelham, starring the widowed Duke of Harwood, who, along with his daughter, Sarah, also find love.

BORING

First time reading anything by this author. I truly hate to rate any historical romance writer one star, because I love reading historical romance novels, however, then story BORED me tremendously. Deborah, the weak disappointing heroine and the ridiculous Duke. Where was the sizzling hot steamy sex?

running from the past

Will a widow and a widower find happiness, for themselves and for their children? It’s a regency romance so of course they will, despite threats of rape and robbery.

Lovely multi-couple romance. Enjoyed the characters, great set of heroes and villains.
Some violence, no sex, mild language. Themes of lascivious old men and spousal abuse
