Thought it was a fun and creative way to inform children of the process of how animal take care of their young. This book is a hybrid format of fictional but also informational, the colorful pictures keep children engaged and motivated to complete the reading.
I grew up with a gas station called Puffin Stop around the corner from my house. I liked hearing about the life of a puffin and relating it back to my gas station experience I had growing up. I didn't know much about puffins otherwise.
This book is a good book to start a life cycles unit. It starts with a puffin growing and finding a mate. Then they have a chick. It has good information about what puffins do and eat. The illustrations are very good.
This was a very well-illustrated book, and I really enjoyed reading it. I think this book is a good way to introduce new animals to a classroom. This book would be especially helpful to learn about ocean animals.
