We run from some mistakes; others we wish we could make right. Some have a horrible secret behind them — and some are all three. For ten years, Leslie Martin has fled from her secret, tortured by its persistent results. With her mother's death, she has a chance to buy her dream upscale condo by selling the family property, but in the process, she didn't expect to rekindle an old love with Adam Kent. Neither did Adam. He spent the last decade dealing with Leslie's departure, and the life he has built for his 8 month old daughter means the world to him. Yet both he and Leslie are amazed to rediscover the depth of their feelings. Leslie's druggie sister balks at selling the family property, wanting to live in the house herself. Leslie refuses, knowing that Diana and her friends would only use it for a Meth house. Then Diana tells Leslie's secret, and neither she nor Adam can handle how it tears their lives apart. Again. Mistakes can never be undone, but how can Adam — or Leslie — find the strength of forgiveness to overcome the bitterness of the past?
My dad taught me from early childhood to love books and reading, so I've always had my nose in a book and a pen in my hand. Writing and stories, though, came later.
The Quick Facts — I was born in Elmhurst, IL. We moved to a suburb of Charleston, WV when I was 4, and to a midsize town in Mid-Illinois when I was 9. After high school I graduated from Meredith Manor School of Horsemanship and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. I worked several secretarial jobs in the area. Eventually we came back to our hometown, later moving into (and are currently renovating) my parents' house. Along the way I acquired one husband, two horses, and cats (the current number has settled at four).
