5 'truth and dare' Stars

This 2nd book of this series is literally a Truth or Dare and I loved it!
Truth... Calder and Lily can't stay away from each other.
Dare...They will overcome the 'tsunami' coming their way and will have their HEA.

I loved this 2nd book as much as I did with book 1. In book 2 Calder will deal with the destruction of his fortune, his name and the name of his father and his life. Everything he had will crumble under his feet. We will see how Lily is going to cope with all thi

I loved the first book, but I felt they spent too much time denying feelings and running from each other. In the first book they're clearly a different couple than most tales, in this, they try to go for the normal couple thing, and it doesn't work for me or them.
I'm not saying I hated this, but I didn't love it. I loved the last five percent because it was a good version of truth or dare, not the silly truths he gave her and the dares asked of him. It's mainly all about Calder and his drop from

My Casting:

What I love most about Truth or Dare is it’s not just a hot sexy, erotic read… it actually has a STORY to it. I found the story between Lilly and Calder to be sweet; the two were emotionally invested into one another but gosh it was also sexy as hell. Who knew a child’s game like Truth or Dare could be so sizzling hot!

Calder, Calder, Calder, how I have missed you!! This book is the sequel to His Wicked Games and picks up 3 weeks after the conclusion of that book. Lily is back at work and Calder is off dealing with whatever it is he is dealing with (he is still being secretive).

Now outside of the estate will Calder and Lily be able to have a “normal” relationship? Despite all the secrets that Calder holds will Lily be able to discover the true “Calder Cunningham,” what will

Lily and Calder are back- and I am one happy lady. If you read Wicked Games, the first in the series, you will absolutely love this second book.

It opens with Lily- three weeks after the games at Calder's estate. As a reader, I find myself wondering, will Calder and Lily have a relationship outside of the manor and its wicked ways?

Plenty of obstacles stand in their way- including Calder and his inability to trust; as well as Lily's issue with keeping their relationship a secret from her

Truth or Dare absolutely became one of my new favorite books! The chemistry between Calder and Lily is palpable. Their banter back and forth constantly made me smile.

The weekend Lily spent at Calder's estate changed her. It made her realize some things about herself and she left feeling more alive than she ever had. Calder liberated her in ways she never saw coming.

"My time at his estate changed me. Calder challenged me. He made me feel wilder, stronger, and more alive than I've ever felt before

Oh Calder, I think Lily really earned you in this book because I don’t know if I could have handled the whiplash from your mood swings. I still think you’re drool-worthy hot and I want you on my speed dial if I ever drink too much... But man, you are a lot of work!

In TRUTH OR DARE, Ember and Calder have left the security of the Cunningham estate. Calder is dealing with the financial disaster his dad left after his death and dreading the day

Holly's 4.5 Star Review

I first read His Wicked Games as part of the blog tour and I really enjoyed it (you can see my review here) and couldn't wait to see where Ember Casey would take the characters next so of course, as soon as I saw siign ups for Truth Or Dare, my fingers couldn't move quick enough!

Truth Or Dare begins three weeks after His Wicked Games ends and Calder and Lily have their first date outside of the mansion. When Calder start

My Thoughts:

After reading the phenomenal His Wicked Games, I knew I needed to read the sequel, Truth Or Dare. I had to know what was next for Lily and Calder, whether they could move forward from what they discovered in the first book. Lucky for me, Ember Casey is one of the sweetest authors ever and she allowed me the opportunity to read it. And oh my goodness... it was awesome.

So, remember when I said that the first book had a lo

I bought this, the second in the series, right after I read the first and I finished both in one day. The writing in Truth or Dare surpasses that of His Wicked Games. The story is more believable and concise, plus it deals with some very real life issues: long distance relationships, trust and keeping secrets.

I was very impressed with this book and the tension keeps you reading. Calder becomes more of a person rather than a type cast billionaire, by the end you feel for him and long t

I loved this book as much as the first book. It follows Lily and Calder, and the aftermath that follows after Calder loses everything. They begin to date as a normal couple, but Lily senses that Calder is holding something back, but he insists that all is fine. Then Calder decides that they need to slow the relationship down, this then confirms to Lily that something is wrong. Lily is in turmoil as she wants to help, but she too is keeping the relationship secret from her father. As a couple the ...more

Let the Games Begin

"Truth or Dare" is a continuation of Lily and Calder's story. As this second book in The Cunningham Family series opens, Calder and Lily have bumped up their passionate relationship but Lily is convinced that Calder is still keeping secrets from her. As the protagonist, Lily's POV alternates between her lusty attraction to Calder and her angst-ridden feelings of responsibility to her father and his life's work. A dual POV (Lily and Calder) would have added an interesting dimen

I really loved the idea of this story, billionaire bad boy loses his billions but I feel such a disconnect with the characters in this book. He wants to hold off on their sexual relationship to see if underneath their chemistry they have something worth building on. Yet when she tries to ask him about whats going on in her life he pushes he away. He doesn't want to build a relationship on sex or talking then tells her that she is just a distraction meanwhile she is all "I love him". The end was ...more

Four well-deserved full stars for Lily and Calder's second book.
Life bursts our lovebirds' happy bubble and they have to figure out how to bring theit relationship to the next level. They bump into a few major obstacles that would put an end to any other love story. But they are not like any other couples and, more importantly, is it love between them or are they just loving to play their games? The more I read into this story the more I feared their happy 'f**kery' wasn't going to end too well

100% forgot that I had downloaded and started this series on my Kobo back in 2016. I finished the book I was reading tonight, and didn't have access to the next book on by TBR list, so I decided to pick this back up.

Didn't mean to, but ended up reading from where I had left off (about 25% of the way in) in one go. Whoops. This series really is addictive as all hell. It still has the fast paced rhythm and sexy times as the first book, but also showed some great character development.

This is a short book filled with a little bit of everything, drama, humour, romance, heartbreak and more!
I enjoyed the first book and was interested to see how the story would continue and what would happen with Calder and Lily's relationship. In book 1 His Wicked Games they were pretty much all alone and the games helped build a sort of bond but what would happen when other stuff gets in the way? So not too long ago I had the pleasure of stumbling across an author I had never read before named Ember Casey. I fell a little bit in love with her book His Wicked Games so you can imagine my delight when I was surfing through Amazon the other night and found Truth or Dare. His Wicked Games ended on a good note, we got to see the completion of that story but defiantly didn’t want to let these two characters go just yet. Thankfully Ms. Casey heard our pleas and brought us Truth or Dare. Now that ...more

Truth or Dare by Ember Casey is the follow up to His Wicked Games. In this book Calder Cunningham and Lily Frazer have decided to try a build a relationship with each other. But these two characters communicate intimately in sexual situations but lack the verbal communication skills they need, or so Lily thinks they need. Lily is used to communicating with words and Calder is an action-oriented type of guy. He is used to having the funds to wine and dine a lady, and lavish her with mat

Just three weeks after the story ended in His Wicked Games, Lily starts a game of Truth or Dare. Unfortunately, Lily and Calder still don't have truth on their side. Both are having trouble being completely honest. Not just with each other, but Lily has yet to tell her Dad about her new relationship with "the sex god" who is "responsible for the near-ruin" of her fathers dreams, the community art center. The author brings the heat before the couple can even go out on their first date at 3% into ...more
I've finally read the second book of Ember Casey’s series, His Wicked Games, entitled Truth or Dare . If you haven't read the first book yet, I suggest you check it out first because you'll definitely miss the storyline and the other characters that were present.

I only wish I could say I like this book just like I did in His Wicked Games , however, I didn't feel the same thrill and excitement like I was expecting. I'm also a bit disappointed with almost 3/4 of the story mainly because the sto

Loved Book 1—Loved Book 2
Loved Lily and Calder.
Loved their new game.

“You are—you are the one thing keeping me together.”

In Truth or Dare, the game is actually invented by Lily. Calder is struggling with the loss of his family estate. The stress of losing his fortune and the news hitting the media is threatening to crush him. Lily needs to find a way to distract him from his crumbling world. And what better way than a game that promises to ignite fires in both of them?

Wow !!!! Calder and Lily's story continues.

Upon getting back into the real world things change between the two of them. Upon attempting to have an "ordinary" relationship, their first date ends in tension. When things starting heating up at the restaurant a mysterious phone call interrupts and Calder immediately starts withdrawing from Lily. He proposes no sex. Lily with all her insecurities begins to doubt their feelings and argues with herself time and time again.

In this sequel Lily and Calder are out in the real world and now they have to see if they have a real relationship or what happened on the estate was just a fantasy. With the truth or at least the half truths of the Cunningham empire's demise coming out into the publics knowledge Lily feels Calder pulling away and reverts to the only thing that will keep him interested. I swear a lot of authors do this.

They write a decent book that for free to get you into the series, trust me, I get it! Otherwise we wouldn't read on.
But then they just go down hill...

I enjoyed the first book. I'm strict on stars so 3 is good. It's an easy read that fits the criteria that I wanted. Funny, sexy and feel good. It's a stereotypical, fantasy fling you want with the main male character.

This was a good follow up to book 1. The fun & games are over (well, not really) and it's now time for Lily & Calder to make their new budding relationship work out in the real world. This would be simple if Lily's father didn't hate him and the media wasn't trashing him.

Despite the odds, Lily & Calder want to stay together. All is well until out of the blue Calder calls it quits (well, he called it a "break" which pretty much amounts to the same thing). Calder is keeping a secret AG

Sweet baby Jesus I missed my Calder, oh how much I've missed him. He's still snarky, "and then you hide me from your father like we're in high school or something." His arms tighten around my waist. "Are you embarrassed by me?" He's still cocky, "I would ask if you enjoyed yourself, but I think I already know the answer," he says. "I think all of your neighbors know the answer, too." And he's still protective, "you're the most amazing, breathtaking woman I've ever met," he whispers against my sk ...more

Yes I gave this book a 3 star and not a 4 star like the first book. I actually enjoyed this book. I didn't like how he kept pushing Lily away. Calder needs to get his shit together.

That's basically this whole book. They get fight and he breaks it off. Happens like 3 times. All the while playing Truth or Dare during the WHOLE book. Which I did like that part.

Other stuff that happens: A report comes to interview Lily about the Center and how it is doing without the help of Calder's
