What if the one thing you never meant to hold on to, is the one thing you can’t let go of?

Normally finding a hot guy in her bedroom wouldn’t irritate Zoe so badly, but finding her childhood friend Logan there is a big problem. Mostly because he’s dead.

As the only person he can make contact with, he talks Zoe into helping him put together the pieces surrounding his mysteri

Zoe was best friends with Logan for years, but when they went to high school, they stopped. They no longer spoke. They were no longer friends. A few years later, Logan dies, but Zoe can see him, initially she thinks it’s a huge joke. She then realises he really is dead. She’s heartbroken, and thinks she’s crazy. Who knows, maybe she is?

Ghost reference from Game of Thrones, in case you are wondering...

I love the idea of the plot, where her ex best friend dies, and she thinks she sees him again. I

I was lucky enough to receive and ARC of this book from the publisher and all I can say is WOW.

I had a feeling I might enjoy this when the dedication made me laugh so hard I spit my coffee! Anyone who starts their book with "For everyone who was ever mean to me in High School. Suck it." has my sense of humor and the laughs didn't stop there.

I have read a lot of YA books and never have I come across one with a character that "sounds" so much like my daughter. All of the characters in this book ju

I’ve been sitting on my hands for the last few days trying to gather my thoughts to write this review. “Losing Logan” is one of those books that you kind of know you’re going to like, but when you read it you are left speechless by how much it touched you. How much emotion it pulled out of you. How much you didn’t like it…you loved it.

I’m not a fan of reviews that outline the plot of books. Some reviewers do that and some people like to read those types of reviews, and that’s great. But I’m goi

I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I just finished reading Losing Logan by Sherry Ficklin and the first thing that comes to mind is Oh My God, I am so reading that one again. It will be placed in my favorites file. I found this book to have a lot of depth for being a teen/young adult book.

Zoe sees dead people. Well just one dead person. That of a childhood friend named Logan. She doesn't know why she can see him, but decides to help him find out how he died. This could be

I thought I knew pain. I thought I knew agony. I thought I knew love. But Losing Logan proved me wrong. This book is ten kinds of beautiful and ten kinds of torture wrapped up in one. You get reading, thinking somehow, just maybe, Sherry will make things work out the way you hope they do.
So read on - and trust me, this is one of those books where you HAVE to read on because once you've started, you just can’t stop – and you keep reading and reading and reading. And you think you have it figured

Wow.....I am speechless..I don't even know where to begin!!

I will start off by saying that as a YA Paranormal fan, I do have a tendency to step outside of my comfort zone to read other genres and I decided to give this one a shot...Well, anyway, I thought it wasn't paranormal or was it?

I wanted to read this book for three reasons. Reason 1: This is a Clean Teen Publishing author and I love to read anything CTP!! Reason 2: I found a paperback copy of this book at my local library. And.....Reason
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. I was vaguely aware when I started reading that is is a YA. I didn't really know what was coming. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! What a great read!! I wish there were more like this in the genre!

There is a romance, cause it is YA and of course there has to be a romance. It is a little unconventional though. I was wondering how things would turn out in a story where the girl seemed to be falling for a ghost. I was very happy with the outco

*I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review*

There were so many funny moments in this book that ALMOST made me pee my pants and they all started with the best dedication ever!! I was given this as an arc by the author and I loved it!

It follows Zoe who is the invisible girl in her high school. That all changes when she realises she is the only one able to see the ghost of her childhood friend. The relationship between them was so fun to read and I loved watching it develop.

Losing Logan will put both happiness and sadness on your heart.

First of all, I was not expecting this to be surprisingly good. All I’m thinking before reading this was this book will be just an ordinary story about a girl grieving for the loss of her best friend, but, it all turned out differently.

This is a heart-wrenching story that doesn’t just tell you the importance of life, but it also lets you know that letting go doesn’t always mean forgetting but accepting and treasuring the memories you

I was lucky enough to get a very "beta" copy of this book, and I have to say, I was completely blown away. I laughed, I cried, I snorted, and then I cried some more. I mean UGLY CRIED. There was snot and everything.

Though there is a "paranormal" element, Losing Logan is a beautifully written contemporary romance about first love, loss, and moving on. It is also a thrilling murder mystery, and a laugh out loud comedy.

Zoe is everything I've come to expect in a heroine written by Sherry Ficklin.

review to come, but I really, really enjoyed this more than I expected. A smidge over 4 stars, really. Snarky banter, ghosts, murders, and teenage angst. just lovely.

I was gifted with an audio copy of this book in exchange for my thoughts. No guarantee of a positive review was ever promised, my thoughts are my own.

Damn... this book was so... Beautifully sad and overwhelming.  When I started it, I didn't think I would have to swallow back sobs and tears. I didn't even like Zoe and Logan at first. Zoewas just too bitchy and had a sharp tongue. Abrasive, as Carlos said.  And Logan was such a jerk. But They were just perfect together. And that first kiss... my favorite part.
And I just found myself falling in love with Logan too. Yeah, I fell in love with a dead guy. An arrogant, hot, infuriating

There are very few books that I cry after I finish them. This was one of them. I loved this story. It's so touching.

From the dedication of this book to the last page, I enjoyed it all. Sherry has mastered writing in a way that says true to her characters and her story. Even though the characters are believable as high school students, they are enjoyable to read about even as a 25 year old. It's hard to portray YA true to their age and still have them be enjoyable by those out of the age range,

When I first heard about this book my first thought was, "A love story about a ghost?". Then I read the story and Zoe's dialogue had me from the beginning. Her character is so funny.

The characters in this story are so easy to love and relate to. For instance, Zoe is is the loner former best friend of Logan. She keeps to herself and builds up walls as a way to protect herself. Like most teenagers in her shoes, once you've been hurt you don't want to go through it again.

I just finished my ARC of Losing Logan and it quickly became a favorite of the books I've read lately. Although it is a YA novel, it would be entertaining for readers teen and up. It's a love story with a supernatural twist that will make anyone want to keep turning the pages.

After falling in love with the characters almost immediately, the witty one-liners made me laugh out loud and the love story left me teary throughout the book. And sometimes I found myself laughing and crying-all on the sa

OMG!! This was the first book I have read by Sherry D Ficklin and it's so amazing!! I absolutely fell in love with the characters, especially Logan. Zoe is helping Logan with his unfinished business since she seems to be the only one who can see him, they used to be friends at one time, now she can't stand him or his fake friends or so she says. The suspense around how Logan really died will keep you on your toes. I really enjoyed reading Losing Logan and can't wait to read more from Sherry, she ...more

Last year I read and loved, Extracted, by Sherry D. Ficklin & Tyler Jolley. I was delighted to dive into Ficklin’s young adult paranormal, Losing Logan. This mystery was refreshing, sweet and at times hilarious. Ficklin’s references to science fiction movies and television shows will delight readers. Zoe navigates interacting with a ghost, falling in love and saying good-bye. With fleshed out characters, danger and snark Losing Logan is not to be missed.

I heard plenty of things about Losing Logan before ever seeing my own copy. A good friend of mine loved it so much that she simply had to buy me a copy and mail it to me so I would read it.

Losing Logan is the story of Zoe Reed, a high school senior that has blended into the woodwork for longer than she can remember. It isn't until her recently deceased childhood best friend, Logan, shows up in her bedroom as a ghost, and she's the only one who can see or hear him that things change. Zoe agrees

Then he opens his mouth.

If you believe the publishing world, paranormal fiction – be it Adult, YA or MG is dead. If you listen to the reader, you’ll know that it isn’t anywhere near dead and WILL NEVER BE dead. But Logan Cooper sure is. Welcome to the world of Losing Logan by Sherry D. Ficklin, whose debut novel Extracted (a steampunk, time travel affair) was published in December of last year. This is Sherry’s first foray into the YA contemporary world and what an entrance she’s made with this book. Losing Logan is a ...more

This is a story about letting go of the dead. Its well written with interesting characters. I especially liked Zoe a lot. She is fun and I quite like her straightforward attitude, sometimes she was a bitch but, hey some people do deserve it. And don't forget that she loves a ghost. Nothing can ever come out of that relationship, right? but she is not prepared to let go of Logan. Besides Logan is stuck

Holy wow! What an outstanding book! I realized I won a copy of the audible book, but never claimed it! I stumbled across the code, and claimed it and listened to it within two days! TWO DAYS! This book is so addicting. It reminded me of the Mediator series by Meg Cabot. I adored that series, and I loved this book as well. Zoe is hilarious. This book was good, but I think it should have been great and I'm sorry I can't give it 5 stars. It centers around high school students Logan and Zoe who were great friends earlier in their lives, but then as the book states Logan got popular and Zoe got sarcastic. They stopped speaking and spending any time together. The book starts with Zoe at a funeral and then she sees Logan. Since the funeral is for Logan, she is beyond angry thinking that Logan is pulling the ultimate prank. But it turns o ...more

OMG! I absolutely loved this book! From the dedication which is just the best one I have ever seen to the ending. It’s just amazing and heart breaking all at the same time.

Losing Logan by Sherry Ficklin is as entertaining as it is engrossing. I had to struggle to put it down to do those necessary things like eat, sleep, and work. What’s more, I found myself pondering over the characters and the storyline as I went through my day. I wanted to know more about Zoe. I wanted to know why Logan did not go into the light and why on Earth he was haunting someone he didn’t seem to give two hoots about in high school. And most importantly, I wanted to discover how Ficklin w ...more

Pass me the tissues and just shut up! I wasn't going to cry, wasn't, nope, oh fudge. I did. Sherry writes with a fresh snarky wonderful voice. The pace is perfect as the story develops. Zoe has her armor, a "I'll hit you just for talking to me" kind of personality until she finds herself in a situation that gives her a mission to find peace for a friend of hers. I love that she doesn't have to change her personality, just her attitude for the conclusion which was unexpected and, yes, made me sob ...more
