This book seemed intimidating being very thick, but it was actually a nice quick read. Originally I never liked to read, but this book was enjoyable. The book is also good for all ages having funny little stories or scary ones only older people should hear. I also loved the variety in stories because there is always a new story just every few pages. Also there are some very entertaining songs inside. Just a perfect book for people who like halloween and not into reading. There are also some pictures too!

One story that is my favorite would be "The Hook" on page sixty-one. It is very ironic because the boyfriend did not believe her when she said there was someone outside of her door. When they arrived home the hook hand was attacked to the side of her door handle. It was very thrilling as well as scary. Another story I enjoyed that was towards the end was a paranormal story. It reminded me of a mini poltergeist movie listing what events happened what day. It was very interesting because they tried every explanation like underground vibrations. The only idea they had was the teenagers had the power in their mind and that was the only thing they could not prove to be true or not.

This book is good for people who do not like sticking to a long story. You can get through multiple stories a day. Also it is so nice to be able to get scared then laugh. The stories really can change your emotions. I also love how the chapters describe the emotion of the stories. If your ever having a halloween event reading a few of these stories will really boast the mood. Many have actions to do in parentheses to entertain the audience.

The only downfall I see is it is hard to remember everything because there are too many little stories. I highly suggest putting a book mark at your favorite stories. Overall, super great book.

A must read and own for Us 90s kids. Make sure to get the original artwork and not the toned down new art. These stories are just as creepy as I remember when I was growing up. A great collection of spooky stories with grotesque artwork to match for an amazing read.
