A Reign of Blood Series Companion Story

These are the journeys of Miel, the Keeper of the journal.

The workings of heaven are shrouded in mystery and myth, leaving us to only theorize as to what awaits us when we pass.

There are those among us however, that are special cases.

These are good people that have committed a horrendous crime, such as murder.

The world is overrun by infected people - vampires. One bite from them and you get deathly ill and turn into one of 'them'. Elijah's friend was bitten... what choice did he have?

I'm not sure when I read a book that impacted me so much. It was a short story, but it delivered with a big POW! I'm still reeling from the thoughts going through my head after reading this book. You wouldn't think a book could bring tears to your eyes. This one did for me. It wasn't really a sad book, but a very thought

It’s a quick read, but contained so much it was hard to believe it was only 35 pages long. Whether you’ve read Reign of Blood or not, this book is an enjoyable read and I found the concept incredibly interesting. I look forward to reading more Chronicles, esp. if it crosses over with other series I enjoy reading.

I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a great read. It's short, like one sitting short, but packed with awesome! The concept at work here is totally original as far as I know, and very very cool! I've always loved a little religious lore mixed into fiction, and I think the way these two authors combined the Archangels of judgement with the pandemonium and confusion of apocalyptic pandemic was fascinating. I look forward to another of these chronicles!

This was a very enjoyable read. I sat down to read it and before I knew it, I was finished.

Alexia Purdy is an amazing author whose books transport you to another world, away from the reality of day to day.

This book moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters that you fall in love with and a story that does not stop.

This is one book everyone should experience.

Way to go.

Fast but amazing read. Miel is charged with finding a way to save the human's souls. Listening in and recording Elijah's thoughts, she feels confident that the plan her and Rashnu (the God she works for) have come up with. I look forward to finding out if it does.

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

There are three archangels that make up the Court of Souls. These three archangels are the ones who decide where a person's soul goes when it crosses over. One of the archangels believes that the rules for judging souls have drastically changed with what is happening on earth at the moment with this virus outbreak that is changing people. He believes that you can't judge people in the same anymore.

With people turning feral

The Miel Chronicles is a collaborative effort created by J.T. Lewis to work with other authors on a special project. Elijah, coauthored with Alexia Purdy is the second of these stories and can be read on their own.

Elijah is a companion novel to a terrific post apocalyptic tale woven by Alexia Purdy that is highly addictive, the Reign of Blood series! I happened upon this gem after completing the series that I already loved. In this book we are introduced to a heavenly court of Archangels & M

The review of this book is part of my review for the Reign of Blood Omnibus by Alexia Purdy. This book is included within this series, which I received to give an honest review.
I really don't know what to say about this book. Umm it kind of threw me off a bit. As I read the entire Reign of Blood series and the prequel this story was different. We are reading about heaven a bit along with angels I assume. But I am not quite understanding what they have to do with the outbreak below on Earth in a

Judging Elijah

This is a companion book to the Reign Of Blood series and can be read anytime after Disarming. It is divergent to the parent series in many ways and only deals with the Reign Of Blood world and the character Elijah.

Miel is tasked by the Archangel Rashnu to find extenuating circumstances in order to redeem souls who have committed grievous sins. They must feel remorse and repent. They must have tried to do good to make up for their transgressions. It seems like an almost lost cause

This is a short story/novella. Although it could be read on it's own it is essenitally a companion book for the Reign of Blood series by Alexia Purdy. And I highly recommend reading reading that series. It's great!

The world is turned upside down after a virus either kills or turns most of the humans into vampires. We follow Elijah as the world is ending and he and other humans are trying to escape into an underground city (under Las Vegas) and how he feels/copes with the things he had to do to s

Short and not much happened. The concept itself could be good, but it wasn't developed here. It lacked emotion and actually created more questions. If the soul leaves after they turn completely feral, how will they be brought back with a cure? It would require the soul to still be there the entire time. So it really doesn't jibe with the series that Elijah came from. Plus it was the whole world and not just the southeastern United States of which Nevada is not.
This short story gives an interesting look into the Reign of Blood universe through the eyes of an angel. The narrator does a wonderful job.

A little different than the other books in the series but, I loved the look into Elijah when the epidemic happened. Short but, good.
