I wasn't expecting much before starting this, but it was actually really good.

Now, I know I carry on about the 'flow' of writing all the time in books, but it's important and makes all the difference to my reading enjoyment. This book was so easy to read that I plowed through it in a matter of hours without realizing I was so far though it. Of course, it helped that Grey was a brooding arsehole and Eden wasn't a whiny bitch.

5 Words: fun, sexy, spring, quick read.

I really enjoyed this rather short novel. It was sweet and sassy and made me fall in love with it.

TA Foster has a recognisable style to her writing that I love - it's comfortable to read and easy to fall into, and it really brings these New Adult characters to life. It's age appropriate and it only serves to strengthen the characters.

Kissing Eden was a fun romance read. I really enjoyed it. I had received Loving Eden to read as an ARC, when I realized that was the sequel to Kissing Eden I figured I better read that first.

Eden Brady has just been dumped by her boyfriend right before their planned spring break trip. Instead of staying home alone, Eden decides to take her spring trip by herself. First things first, my fingers are now itching to book the first trip to that island.

Even though it may have a lot to do with a certain handyman than with the view. Wistful sigh.

The book was really nice, a little cheesy at times, but I think Grey's gruffiness helped tone it down. I loved the setting and also Eden. I didn't have high expectations for her somehow, instead she turned out to be a really cool chick.

“Where had this Texas boy been my whole life?”—Eden

I loved this book! First off, I liked the fact that although Eden and Grey are both going through a rough patch in their lives—Eden and the bad break-up and Grey trying to manage a run-down motel he inherited—they don’t have huge baggage in their past history that makes them damaged like you see in many new adult novels. Once they get past this rough patch, they have a shot at smooth-sailing happiness—well, like I said, as long as they get past this rough patch.

And when we first our two leads, you’ll have no doubt they will, because they are two very wonderful people. Sure, Eden just got dumped, but she isn’t a cry-in-the-corner kind of girl. She’s going to make the best of the situation and not let anyone take her down. Although level-headed, she does have a limit and doesn’t have have a problem putting someone being grabby or obnoxious in their place. One of my favorite scenes is when Eden meets a guy who doesn’t understand what ‘no’ means and Grey goes to save her. Except he doesn’t, because she’s already taken care of it. Hello self-defense skills turned offense skills!

That’s the thing about Eden—she’s a tough cookie, which is exactly what Grey needs in his life right now. He’s being physically, emotionally, and financially drained by the motel his grandfather left to him. And the best part? He doesn’t have to do it. All he has to do is say the word and developers all over will descend on him, waving fistfuls of money and throwing money confetti for the prime location. But he doesn’t take it, because he’s doing it for his grandfather. Aww…how can you not love a guy willing to go through the craziness of taking care of a run down motel out of love. No seriously, you can’t. And neither can Eden.

Which is good for Grey since when it comes to her, he’s a bit shy. That was another thing I liked about the book. Although Grey was an alpha kind of guy, he wasn’t in-your-face alpha stalking Eden and magically seducing her with his testosterone. He’s a normal guy with a lot on his plate, and it was believable and sweet how he pursues her. They don’t have an easy courtship, mind you, because not only do they have to deal with fixing up his motel, there are exes and would-be suitors around, plus the little temporal issue in that Spring Break week is only…a week long, and Eden is going to have to go finish college. Overall, this was a fun and fast read with great characters. Neither of them are perfect, but together? Perfect for each other. This is a 5 out of 5 for me.

I feel that Kissing Eden is a book that was made for lying out on the beach and reading. It really is a perfect summer read. It was fun, sexy, and light. And though I wished I could have loved it, I did find it to be quite an enjoyable read.

First, I’m going to talk about the detail in the book. It was very simply detailed, which there is nothing wrong with that, but I’m a person who thrives off of descriptive and deeply narrate 3 stars!

First, I’m going to talk about the detail in the book. It was very simply detailed, which there is nothing wrong with that, but I’m a person who thrives off of descriptive and deeply narrated books. I guess I can say that the author had a very direct way of writing. I did enjoy the way the author let her story unfold. And the characters, though it did take some time for the chemistry to set in, were a joy to read about.

All I have to say is poor Eden! The moment the book starts, that girl had a very bad cause of bad luck. Everything that could go wrong, well, did. But I have to give her mad probs, she didn’t let that deter her one bit! She really was a fearless character. Not only for keeping her head held high when her boyfriend dumbs her and then when a string of bad luck swings in, but because she took a vacation all by herself (something I would love to do). Though I really did enjoy this character’s fearlessness, I found her to be a bit crazy at times.

Grey, at first, came off as a very stereotypical love interest. But, not going to lie, he did capture my attention right way. He was definitely a surly and moody character at the start of the book. But once Eden started breaking down his shield I really started to like him. Grey is also dealing with a few issues himself, so his moodiness can be explained. What I did find interesting about him was that he was a pretty straight forward guy, I enjoyed that!

As I mentioned, it took a while for the chemistry to start to build between Eden and Grey. I just couldn’t feel it until about the middle of the book. But after about that point, I could start to feel the real attraction between them.

The pacing in the book is also fast, along with the buildup of the plot, conflict, and resolution. It was definitely a fast, light read. And a few of the plot twists and events were a bit predictable. But that didn’t really turn me away from the story.
I also have to mention the setting! I really loved the setting of the book! Again, that made it feel like the perfect summer read!

All in all, Kissing Eden was an enjoyable, light, sweet, and fun romance. Prefect when you are in need of a lighter read or a book to enjoy while sitting by the pool or at the beach. I would definitely recommend this one to new adult readers who need a book about a girl taking a chance and then finding love! ...more

How is it you can date a douche and never realize it? Eden put up with a boy friend for way to long that never took her on a date, unless his friends came along. His first priority was always himself and it took for him to break it off with her, before their spring break vacation, for her to get a clue.

Eden Brady has just been broken up with by her boyfriend Brett three days before spring break. They were supposed to be headed to South Padre Island in Texas together, but now Eden is on her own. She decides to take advantage of the ticket her parents bought her for Christmas for the trip and go by herself. Her trip gets started in the worst way possible though when her plane is overbooked and her luggage gets lost. Then she arrives and Brett has stolen her room reservation and is with another girl. She ends up staying at a run down hotel and instantly gets off on the wrong foot with the handsome but surly man at the desk. Eden assumes that he is the handy man, but soon finds out that Grey actually inherited the place from his grandfather. He is trying to fix the place up and figure out what to do with his future. Eden offers to help him out, and as they begin spending more time together their feelings and attraction become impossible to fight. But what happens when the week is over and Eden is set to return to North Carolina? Can they possibly have anything more than a spring break fling?

I really liked Grey. He instantly was able to draw my attention, and I liked that he was more than just his moody first impression. He was a great guy that was honest and sweet, even if he at times handled things badly. It was great to see him start to let his walls down with Eden's help, and I loved watching him work on his own issues. I felt so bad for Eden! She had the absolute worst luck and I couldn't believe what a jerk Brett was to her. It was great to see her meet Grey and realize just how bad things had been with Brett. I liked that Eden was brave enough to go on the trip by herself, not many people would be able to do that especially after going through everything that she had. I also really liked how she was pretty laid back and was able to just roll with the punches. She didn't let the bad stuff get her down, and she made friends along the way. I really liked her character and thought that she would be a girl that I would hang out with. Her and Grey were just really believable and real characters that I liked a lot. I thought that they had great chemistry from the start, but they also were really great for each other and I liked them together.

Overall, I thought that this was a really enjoyable and sweet read. T.A. Foster always writes books that are enjoyable all the way through and leave you happy. Kissing Eden was no exception, and I thought that this one was really refreshing and cute. It had a great flow, and the pacing was fast and kept me interested. The one criticism I had with this book though is that the relationship did progress rather quickly. Because it was over spring break and they hadn't ever met before it was pretty much insta-love in about a week. But honestly with Grey and Eden it really didn't seem forced or unbelievable. It was just a little rushed for my liking. I really did find this one entertaining though, and I am really glad that I read it. I would recommend this book to fans of the New Adult genre, especially those looking for a quick and light read. If you haven't read anything by T.A. Foster, I highly recommend giving her books a shot. I have really come to like her, and I look forward to seeing what else she comes up with.

Kissing Eden was a very cute contemporary romance and I really enjoyed reading it. I like T.A. Foster’s writing style and I think she comes up with some very creative plot lines that make reading one of her contemporary novels fun and exciting. Foster’s writing style and I think she comes up with some very creative plot lines that make reading one of her contemporary novels fun and exciting. With all of the new adult and contemporaries that I read, it is refreshing to find something that grabs your attention.

When she gets to the booked resort and finds out her ex took the room, she is forced to stay at the dilapidated hotel down the road. Just when it seems like she’s about to have the worst week of her life, she meets the gorgeous, young hotel owner, Grey, and sparks fly.

I really liked Eden a lot and felt like she was a very strong character. She really knows how to handle herself and she doesn’t let tough times get her down. Instead, she always picks herself up and makes the best she can out of a crappy situation. I also really liked her confidence with Grey. She feels the chemistry between them and she isn’t afraid to pursue it. I also liked Grey as well but he definitely had a chip on his shoulder and I hate when guys are hot and cold, which he sometimes was. He has a lot on his plate and with all he’s been through, it is understandable that he would be overwhelmed but was moodier than a teenage girl on her period and that makes me crazy. I also felt like both he and Eden over-reacted to a couple situations they found themselves in and I wanted to slap both of them for their reactions. Eden is such a strong woman so I felt like her over-reaction was a bit out of character. Grey’s reaction to his situation was definitely something I would expect from him but it didn’t mean I had to like it.

There was real passion and chemistry between Eden and Grey and I could feel the sexual tension between these two characters. Grey is so closed off and Eden opens him up and really brings a little bit of life back to him. In turn, Grey shows Eden what real love is and really helps her see that her ex was never right for her. She could do so much better and Grey showed her what that was like. I really liked the way they worked together and the way Eden helped Grey with the hotel. She didn’t want to admit that she loved Grey, but by the end of the week, it was definitely obvious. Ultimately, Grey made the grand gesture and I loved it. It showed true growth in him and that might be my favorite part.

Overall, this was a light, fun and romantic read. I really liked that there wasn’t a lot of angst or clichés and it is definitely a great spring read. It really made me wish I was on a beach somewhere and I am definitely antsy for some warm weather now.

Initial Thoughts: If you're looking for a quick and fun read, this would be it. It was fast read that I enjoyed. The Story: You know how I said Eden had bed luck? Well...first her boyfriend dumps her right before they were supposed to go on a trip. On the plane, some guy spills beer on her. Then when she checks into the hotel, apparently her ex-boyfriend already checked in and took over the room and he had a new girlfriend with him. Eden punches him in the face for this which I thought was pretty funny. Then she loses her luggage and the only place she can go to stay is some hotel called the Palm Palace which, as I said, needs a serious makeover. But over the week, Eden volunteers to help with accounting for the hotel (that's her major in college) and help fix and arrange stuff around the hotel because at the end of the week, Grey is having some people come and stay which meant that the hotel was going to be booked.The biggest challenge of the story is really what is Eden. Is she going to go back home and think it was just a spring-fling? Is she going to stay? What is going to happen? Now I won't spoil the end but I really did like how the book turned out in the end. It was a really satisfying ending!

The Romance: How it starts - Eden is the only one who is staying at the hotel and Grey is the only one running it. They kind of clash a bit in the beginning. But at a locals-only beach get together, which Eden is invited to, Grey is there and then the two kiss. The two have some attraction going on from the beginning which only continues on throughout the story. It felt a bit quick, the romance between them, because Eden is only there for a week, but in the end I felt like it worked out more.

End Thoughts: It was a good book with a developed plot and characters. It was fun to read and I look forward to reading other books by T.A. Foster. 4 stars. ...more

When she tries to check into her room at the hotel, she discovers that her ex, Brett, has already checked into that room before her, so she's now stuck at a pretty dilapidated motel called the Palm Palace. Which is where everything begins, of course.

I really wanted to like Eden. I admired her determination to go ahead and have fun on spring break without Brett. But Eden's actually really immature, and her actions throughout the book didn't make me like her any more than I liked Bella from Twilight. She gets to know Grey at the Palm Palace, and after like three days she's completely smitten. She even gets insanely jealous when she sees him talking to his ex, and how does she react? She throws a drink into Grey's face. Yeah, and this is after three days I believe.

Speaking of Grey, I couldn't really connect with him even though his character seemed like a great one. Grey has a lot riding on him - he's inherited the Palm Palace from his late grandfather, but can't afford to hire anyone, so he has to do all the work himself. I liked Grey, but there were things about him that didn't fit with his image. Grey's equally into Eden after just a few days, and I honestly found the insta-love so hard to believe. That kind of thing just doesn't happen. And Grey also gets really mad seeing Eden with Brett at one point, and then lets her leave without saying a word to her.

The way the two of them finally come together at the end was a little on the ridiculous side too. I won't say what it was in case anyone wants to read this book. I'm glad Kissing Eden is quite a short read, and really light, because if it were longer I may not have finished it. The storyline is definitely sweet, though. So if you're looking for a quick cute read, you might want to try this one.

Honestly I was hoping for a little bit... more. The premise for Kissing Eden is definitely promising, but I was constantly annoyed with Eden's character. She's kind of a whiny, naive little girl. I do feel bad for her when she gets dumped and the scene I liked her in the most was when she punches her ex. That was epic and he totally deserved it, so kudos to you, Eden. Eden and Grey meet pretty early in the story and there's definitely a hot sexual chemistry between the two... or so Eden says. But you know, you gotta keep things interesting--and Eden did just break up with her boyfriend--so things get a little hot and cold for a while. Still, there's an undercurrent. Skip a few chapters and BAMM! Eden and Grey totally get it on. I have to admit it was hot, and up until right after they get together I was following just fine with the story.... And then the next morning Grey blows her off and Eden later finds him at a bar with his ex. That's when I wanted to slap Eden in the face. You've just met this guy, for heavens sake! And she thinks she has some sort of claim on him? She sees Grey and his ex, she stomps over there, demands answers and when he doesn't giver her the answers she wants to hear--never mind that she doesn't really let him explain--she throws her drink in his face. I have no time for petty jealousy or petty characters and that's what Eden came off as. Grey and Eden talk it out and it's all sunshine and rainbows... until Grey gets a look at Eden and her ex. And the nonsense begins again.

I liked Grey a little bit more than I did Eden. I thought what he was doing with the Palm Palace was pretty noble and respectful. I just couldn't get behind their "whirl-wind romance." There's really not much behind their romance and I like my characters to be interested in each other for reasons other than their physical appearance. Nevertheless, I got through the novel and in the end everything was wrapped together with a neat little bow.

Kissing Eden starts off fun and flirty but gets a little childish and annoying soon enough. You may love it. You may hate it. You may be totally indifferent. Still, these characters entertain you for a bit.

Eden goes on her own, but not without bumps along the road. She has had her fair share of pain and trouble, so she just wants to move on and live her life. She ends up at Palm Palace which is where Grey lives. Grey is the guy every woman dreams about! He is the sexiest most bull-headed man she has ever met. Along, with being a huge flirt with every girl he comes in contact with, he is still a handsome man. She realizes when she comes in to contact with him to check in for a room to sleep and just change from the road she was just on that he has other plans.

Grey is getting ready for the spring break crowd to arrive, he is trying to fix up Palm Palace so that people will stay there. Right now, the place is just a great mess, and not a lot of people come in because of it. Whilst he does everything in his power to get the palace ready, she can not take her eyes off of him. But then again, what girl wouldn't? He is a sexy handyman. lol..
She knows that she needs to heal her broken heart, but she thinks the best way to do that is to concentrate on something better. Which to her is Grey. I love this story! The story-line is just really a unique one. It has its own world, when you read it, you just feel so involved! I love that about this novel. Anyways, you really need to get this novel! I rate this story 5 AMAZING STARS!!♥

I loved everything about this story. I really can not wait for more of T.A. Fosters books to come out! She really knows how to captivate you in her story. I never read anything else like this before. It took all of me to read it! I couldn't be half in it to read it because I just wanted to be involved with my whole mind. If that makes any sense, you probably know what I mean. There are a lot of books out there like that, I think. This one though just really got to me.

Eden’s spring break starts off on all the wrong notes, and I found it easy to put myself in her shoes and really feel for her. I thought she handled the situations she was put in with incredible grace, considering everything going wrong. Personally I would have freaked out way more, so I could tell from the beginning that Eden was strong and unflappable. As the book goes on you learn how smart and hardworking she is. I really admired how Eden was willing to take her vacation time and us 3.5 stars

Grey is interesting as a love interest because he sends a lot of mixed signals and he's kind of a jerk in a few moments. However, in his better moments? Definite potential. I would have liked to have seen a more gradual change in him, with more time at the end to see his good side. However, with him changing and learning from his mistakes, I could really see him and Eden being good together.

There are so many aspects of this book I liked. The small Texas island setting was great, and I liked the secondary characters, the locals that Eden meets. I also enjoyed Eden's business smarts and seeing the way she thinks about things. There were also models of positive female friendship, which is always a good thing. On the negative side, the romance was pretty fast moving, considering Eden just jumped out of another relationship. It felt especially quick because in one minute Eden is upset about the end of the relationship, wondering what went wrong, but then as soon as she sees how her ex is acting she acts differently. She starts to remember how bad everything was in their relationship, and how the relationship was over before it was officially over. It felt a bit like revisionist history.

In many ways Kissing Eden was a beginning. Readers are left hanging to make their own conclusions about where Grey and Eden end up and how they find a way to be together. You can infer that there will be a Happily Ever After, but we’re left guessing as to the details. I don’t see this as a bad thing, necessarily, but if you like books where everything is all wrapped up you might be a bit unsatisfied.

It's especially difficult when your boyfriend dumps you right before your huge spring break trip and then steals your hotel room from under you, so that he can shack up with his latest hook-up. Eden has some amazing inner strength to deal with that and everything else that the Universe throws her way as she heads down to South Padre. Not many girls would be able to handle themselves with such poise and determination. I Actual rating: 3.5/5 stars.

Eden has some amazing inner strength to deal with that and everything else that the Universe throws her way as she heads down to South Padre. Not many girls would be able to handle themselves with such poise and determination. I don't think she ever realized how strong she actually was, until she was thrust into this position. She also seems to have a bit of a hair trigger where men are concerned, which is understandable to an extent. Sometimes, I did want to just poke her or elbow her really hard for her outbursts. (That being said, I probably would have reacted almost the same way in those situations.)

Grey is kind of a mess. He is grumpy, stubborn, and angry at life. He also has a strong sense of determination, which has been helping him inch his way along in the motel business, but is also preventing him from being a complete success. He runs a bit hot and cold and is also deserving of a strong elbow or shove at times.

Both of them are in a rebound situation, which makes it tough to think that their mutual attraction can be real. Usually that rebound fling is highly intense and very short-lived. These two are definitely hurting, which somehow makes them complement each other. Their personalities mesh together, causing each to challenge the other one to be a better person. They are able to help improve each other, which is an important part of being a couple. And of course, they are smoking hot together in the bedroom.

The other characters in this book are quite fun. Eden is very lucky to be able to make such good friends, such as Marin, so quickly. I would love to read some more about them and their relationships!

I liked reading this book. I like T.A. Foster's style and voice in her new adult contemporary romances. I didn't like this one quite as much as London Falling, but I still recommend it for those looking for a steamy spring break escape or fun beach read!

What happens when Eden has to return to North Carolina?

OMG!!! Can I say I LOVED I Grey. He just drew me in instantly. He is such a sweet, honest, and caring man. Even though he had his moods, I felt a connection with him. And of course Eden helped to open him up. I LOVED watching Grey grow and fall in love with Eden.

Then we have Miss Eden. She really had some bad luck. And the way Brett just tossed her aside. He is on my shit list. However, all the bad luck led her to Grey. I really liked Eden’s character. That girl showed no fear going on a spring break trip totally ALONE. She is funny and so sweet. Eden also makes some pretty great friends quickly.

I thought that Grey and Eden had some major chemistry from the beginning. I really enjoyed how they grew together. Overall I think Kissing Eden is a sweet, quick summer read. This is the first book I have read from T. A. Foster, however I plan to read more. Kissing Eden has a great pace and I enjoyed the writing. It was able to hold my attention and make me care about these characters. And I am such a sucker for love at first sight and Kissing Eden has that, well kind of. Eden is forced to go to a crappy motel to stay, because it is the only thing that has rooms left. There she meets Greyson!! Oh Greyson, how you make my heartbeat fast!! Eden mistakes him as the janitor and doesn't realize he actually owns the motel!

Greyson has inherited the run down motel. It is the only thing left he has of his family's. It is in such bad shape and their is not money in the budget to fix it. He is trying his hardest to keep things going, but is stressed out while doing it. This makes Greyson grumpy and standoffish. He is at a crossroads as to what to do. He is feeling guilty and loyalty.

Being at the motel and around Greyson all the time, Eden becomes more and more attracted to him. The feelings are reciprocated from Greyson. As much as these two try to fight it, there is something there. I loved reading the chemistry between these two. The reader sees it coming a mile away, and it could not be any hotter. Eden volunteers to help Greyson with motel while she is there. At first, he doesn't accept it. When he lodes finally let her help, he sees a new side of Eden.

There are some major obstacles for the couple. For one, Eden goes to college and resides in NC, while the motel and Greyson are in Texas. Then there is an age difference, ex's, the motel, and so on.

I read this in one sitting before bed...I did not want to put it down. It made my day from bad to good. I went to bed with a better attitude! I thought this was a fun light read! I am looking forward to more books from T.A. Foster!!

It manages to be both the perfect beach read, with a super sweet and hot romance, while managing to stay more realistic by infusing bumps in the road along the way. T.A. Holy cow I just wanted to constantly punch him everytime I saw him or heard his name mentioned. I was so glad that once he was history, he stayed history. Eden deserves so much better than him. The book was off to a really rocky start for poor Eden. She was in Texas for the first time ever, and her ex took her hotel room, the airlines lost her luggage and someone spilled rum and coke all over her now only pair of jeans. I think I would have gotten out of there in 2.5 seconds. But Eden stuck it out. And she met Grey.

Grey is intense. He has some communication issues and he can come off gruff, but there is just something about Grey. Some kind of quite gentleman- ness about him. You can tell he is a good guy. I thought it was kind of funny how moody he got sometimes. Even though, it wouldn't have been funny if I was Eden. There were a couple of times where I wanted to smack Grey upside the head and tell him what to do. But watching him and Eden fumble about and try and figure out what was going on with the two of them was half of the fun. I loved that Eden forced her help on Grey. He was way too stubborn to get help on his own, and I loved that Eden went out of her way to help him with the Palm. She is such a sweet girl.

Kissing Eden is a cute and fun sexy new adult romance that felt fresh and real to me. It is great as a standalone book, but the ending left a possible follow up open. Please T.A. Foster! Please bring me more Grey and Eden. I have to hear him say Darlin' some more! Fans of beach read new adults will love Kissing Eden. ...more

I feel like Kissing Eden is a very light hearted book that dives into finding your own happiness and fighting for what you want. I really enjoyed reading about Grey because I imagined him all hot and sweaty with a little bit of a temper. Palm Palace is a mess and I think it is relatable to those who do get given the inheritance of a hotel or place and because of limited funds don’t know what to do. I love how Grey had a lot of fight in him to start taking himself into consideration and doing things he wanted to do. Eden pulled a hurt hotel owner into a happier person. Eden wasn’t without her own struggles, which I enjoyed seeing played out.

Eden came across as very fearless and if she set her mind to something she would accomplish it. I love that in a character. All the characters interacted with great chemistry. What could have been seen as cliché and stereotypical of the romance between Eden and Grey was a really enjoyable and light hearted novel. The build up was an interesting delivery as this is the first book I have read from TA Foster and I enjoyed how she developed the characters. The fast pace of the book helped guide the book and I think it needed to be that way instead of drawn out longer.

Overall, Kissing Eden was a loveable, lighthearted sweet romance that brought flirt and heart into an intertwining narrative. I gave it a 4-Lit Love. I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a nice sweet romantic summer novel.
