They say it’s the quiet ones you have to worry about, and she was quiet, very quiet—when she wasn’t busy despising me with a burning passion.

Ringo ‘Ringer’ James has a no-strings-attached policy.

Love them, leave them, and remain the eternal bachelor.

After a summer in which every one of his mates has succumbed to settling down, or so it seemed, Ringer is on the lookout for

I always thought that Ringer was someone who looked liked this:

(Not that I don't love Howard Wolowitz, because I do.)

Note to self: Must pack bags and head to Australia.

I reaaaaaally wanted this to be longer in the end. I adore Ringer (hello, cover model) and I feel like just as we were starting to see the beginnings of a beautiful hate to love romance (#tropewinner), it was over and done with.

10 extra points for the Sean Murphy cameo - can't get enough of that boy!

Ringo, “Ringer,” James—OMG how I love this Onslow boy. I knew that when I read Ringer's story, I was going to laugh myself crazy. Because whatever girl was going to claim Ringer's heart had to be tough, sassy, and give Ringer's smart ass altitude right back to him. And Miranda Henry is definitely the bad ass girl who has Ringer going head over heels, not knowing which end is up. Yep, you can glean my hidden meaning in that last sentence…

Ringer is the jokester, the clown of the Onslow boys, and

Plot Summary:
Ringer features a romance between Ringer (shocker) and Miranda, who is new to the Summer series. Ringer, surrounding by a lovesick joy fest in Onslow, feels that he needs time away from his fellow boys who are head over heals for their girlfriends. So, it seems like a perfect opportunity to get out of town when Max, the new bartender at the Onslow Hotel, tells him about how his parents need help at their farm and can't go help them. Ringer takes the opportunity right away and blows

I am having so much fun with this series! It is appropriately titled the summer series as it has been my guilty pleasure reading material this summer.

While I am certainly enjoying the full length novels more than the novellas, these novellas are keeping me hooked on the series as I work my way through.

I have to admit that I was a little hesitant about Ringers story since he was a background character in so much of the other stories a

AAAHHHH, I LOVED Ringer. This novella was such a great addition to the Summer series by Cj - every story that gets added to this incredible series just keeps getting better and better!
I have always loved Ringer's cheakiness, and his story here was no different - he is such a loveable Aussie bloke with a gorgeous dimple!! My only problem with this Cj - is that there was not enough Ringer, we NEED more!!
Can't wait for Adam and Ellie's story which will be out this year, and will hopefully include

Ringer has been one of my favorite characters from the beginning, so it was awesome to see him get his own novella! He is definitely the roughest of the Onslow boys and a lot edgier, so naturally I liked that Duggan made his novella fit his personality. In fact, I think this is probably the steamiest of the series so far. Ringer is a good guy through and through, despite his crudeness and rather dirty mouth. When he first meets Miranda, the two clash immediately and it does not look g

around 2.5… i really couldn't get into their story. I don't think contemporary romance stories should be written as novellas because there isn't enough pages and words to not make it seem insta-loveish. Oh well. I still love the other books in this series! Can't wait for the fourth novel.

I am a huge fan of CJ Duggan's contemporary series. The boys of Summer has starred in so many of my videos, one is my top 20 contemporaries, and just recommending it to a ton of people. Ringer

I don't want to give away the whole story, but I have to say, I think Ringer is my favourite Onslow boy! He is so cheeky, playful, a little bit sensitive and a whole lot of sexy!
Then in comes Miss Miranda!! At first I though oh wow talk about a snob! But it was so not the case.. She is just a beautiful young girl with her own background and problems. And boy does she have a cheeky side, she loves to play practical jokes and can take it as well as she gives it!!

What a lovely personality Ringer has, "weirdo?" he scoffed. "More like being woken up by that hideous sound your sh** box of a car was making; I thought you were going to crash it through my effing wall." Miranda has some pretty amazing lady balls, "so when, instead, the shower door flung open and I was met with Miranda Henry in all her angry, naked glory, I almost slipped over in my shocked effort to spin around so fast." Ringer was just in the background in the summer series, but i am so glad he got a book otherwise the summer series wouldn't be complete. It was cheeky, sassy and much hotter than the other books in the series. There was a lot of tension and heated passion between Miranda and Ringer which i loved reading about. It was funny to read about their relationship and how they annoyed each other and got on each others nerves and not to mention the pranks!! Loved every page of this book. I finis

Ringer and Amanda

Max's dad needed him to leave Onslow and come home to Ballan for a few weeks while he was out of town. Ringer was listening to the phone conversation. He offered his services, he needed a break from Onslow because having all his mates in love was getting to him. He needed to get away. When he was almost there, he had to open five different gates driving along the way to get to the house. As he was working the chain on the last gate, someone drove through the gate nearly killing

***NOTE: This review doesn't contain any major spoilers for the first three books in the series.***

Ringer is the next book in Duggan's summer series. It's billed as book #3.5, but it's not super short - the main difference is that this book takes us away from Onslow (and the other Onslow boys) and focuses solely on Ringer.

Honestly, I didn't feel like I knew Ringer all that well after reading the first three books in

I was suffocating.
I could feel it restricting my brain, exhausting me in ways I could barely describe.

Just when I think my heart has settled on which one of the Onslow boys I love the most, C.J. Duggan goes ahead and throws a spanner in the works and my head and my heart are all in a spin. Each of these boys have owned me at different stages throughout this series. And it's not over yet.

Ringo James isn't looking for love. In fact he's trying to get away from it. It seems that all his mates a

What can I say? C.J. did it again! Even better, I think Ringer is my absolute favourite Onslow Boy. I know I say that every time, I guess I’m a bit easy when it comes to these Onslow Boys, but I mean it. Ringer, oh my! He’s just the best. Funny, protective, bold and mischievous, definitely my type of boy.

I’m so glad we got to see this side of Ringer. It was a part of him that was missing from the other books. But what I love the most (yes, I’ll use the word love a lot because that is what I feel

The novella begins with Ringer tired of all the "love is in the air" relationships around him. He is in need of a change in venue ASAP.

"Yeah, Onslow was beautiful; it was also bathed in romance. Sweet doe-eyed looks, hand holding, giggles, freakin’ sunshine and rainbows. It was enough to make your beer go flat."

When he finds out he can help his friend Max, he decides to leave Onslow and drive to Ballan and to Max's dad's property to help around.

Ringer, Ringer, Ringer ... I’ve been waiting for this since I read The Boys of Summer . This series is one of my favorites! All those Onslow Boys are positively delicious! I really adore C.J.'s Summer series! You can find my review of the previous book in this series, That One Summer Jennifer's Review of THAT ONE SUMMER. This is a novella about another one of the gorgeous Onslow Boys --one that we didn't really get to hear much about in the previous books.

Ringer is "annoyed" with his friends and romance in general. Most of the Onslow boys have girlfriends now and he just doesn't get what these relationships are doing to his "boys" :-). We met those girlfriends, b

From the moment he agreed to help his friend, Max, out for the summer, Ringer James knew his life would change. Whether it's for bad or good, he's not exactly sure. He's tired of seeing his friends all lovey-dovey over their new girlfriends while he sits on the sidelines. Granted, he's always been the bad boy of the bunch, loving and leaving his own women whenever possible. Still, he's sick of being surrounded by so much love and sweetness.

Making his way to his summer destination, Ringer never i

After weeks of not reading a single New Adult book, I finally ended my NA break with a book I've been dying to read. Ringer. Out of all characters in C.J. Duggan's Summer series, I wanted to read most about Ringer. He always has something funny to add to dialogues and I think he's a pretty interesting character. I wish he had a whole book though but I can't complain. A novella would have to do because.... well, it's RINGER.

After reading the first three books in The Summer Series and loving each Onslow boy in his own way, I couldn't wait to read Ringer's story. In the other books he appears to be the most playful of the group and always ready to get up to no good. In the beginning of this novella, it is clear that he needs a little escape from his hometown since his friends are all busy being nauseatingly in love.

Novellas are always hard to pull off ... especially if you are trying to show a relationship develop from nothing to true love. It is almost impossible to write a realistic pace for a relationship in such short time. But it's always nice to see what happens in these novellas that support wonderful series, so I grabbed this one, particularly because Ringer seemed like a fun and fascinating character in other books in the Summer series. The Summer Series by by C.J. Ringer is a great addition to C.J. Duggan's series of sexy, swoony, sweet and summery books. This novella was a super quick read and, though it was a complete story that can stand on its own, I was definitely left wanting more at the end.

Ringer, the man, not the book, was a bit sullen and jaded. His friends were all pairing off into relationships and that was the absolute last thing he wanted. To escape (and help out a friend), he offers to spen

I was so excited when I found out this story was going to be about Ringer. He quickly became one of my favorite characters in That One Summer. A pretty good short addition to the Summer series. I'll admit that Ringer was probably the character I though least likely to have his story told. I thought Stan's story would be fit in somewhere but that seems to have been taken care of throughout the other books and aside from Adam and Ellie (the subjects of the upcoming fourth book), Ringer appears to be the last character standing.
