5 out of 5 stars

This book grips you and pulls you in from the first page!
Alliance is the weakest of the three novels in this series. The main character's huge infatuation over someone she hardly knows got annoying. Her guilt feelings over everything got annoying as well. I really couldn't decide whether to give this 2.5 stars or 3. I was generous and gave it 3. Overall I liked this series ok. It is light sci-fi written for young adults that of course focuses a lot on romance. I do kind of get tired of the man destroying the earth with their carelessness theme a lot o ...more

So, you think Earth spiders are creepy? Imagine meeting up with alien arachnids who spew poisonous venom and suck the life out of other beings to feed their queen and her eggs? Oh, and they have their own planet, spaceships and are on an intergalactic hunt and your planet was on their “to do” list of conquests. Alliance by Aubrie Dionne, the third installment in the Paradise Reclaimed YA/Fantasy/Sci-fi series not only lets the reader escape from reality, but

Alliance was a rather good book. I did enjoy it. I really liked the whole Paradise Reclaimed series actually, there is a real sense of continuity and each book literally picks up where the last left off. This made for a good read as it gave me better insight into the world that was Paradise 21.

In this book, we are reintroduced to Lara. Remembe

Lyra Bryan must step out of her strawberry perfume life and save her colony and a hot alien at all costs in Aubrie Dionne's Alliance. The third book in the Paradise Reclaimed series, this novel picks up where Reconnaissance left off, but with Lyra telling the story. Lyra is a sweet girl, although she seems a little bit of a space head at the start. I love how she grows as a character. Asteran, the handsome alien from Priavenus, has such a sad story, and his plight tugged on my heartstrings. This ...more

I was very lucky to receive an advance copy of this novel.

Aubrie Dionne writes characters with depth, in a beautifully described world. I've loved reading this whole series, and this one was my favourite so far!

I love this series, its been one that hooked me in from the first book. I first was sucked into this amazing future sci-fi world in Paradise 21, which is book 1 of another series (A New Dawn #1) That series is also great, but not necessary to read to enjoy this series. It would be better as it gives lots of the history of the relatives many generations back from the ones in this book.

Was originally posted on Paranormal Sisters:

It took me a while to fall into this as we're now behind another character's eyes, but one that we've seen before in this series, and once I got the gist of who it was I was able to fall effortlessly into this world! Mrs. Dionne does well with providing information when need be on characters to remind us who they are without making it feel overwhelming for us. This world is beautifully detailed and I just love g

Aubrie Dionne is becoming one of those authors that I cannot say no to. Her books are phenomenal. The third in her Paradise reclaimed series was just as good as her first two. And the great thing about this series is that you really do not have to read the first two, although it would give you a heck of a lot of background information, but you do not HAVE TO. Aubrie does an outstanding job of reminding the reader of the past events but not to a point where the story gets boring just to a point w ...more

Lyra Bryan is a hero amongst her people. She's saved them many times, and even in private, she's rescued her brother from the hold of his strange mental illness. Now she's rescued a gorgeous alien from the arachnids' ship and she can't get him out of her head. She risks punishment just to learn his name. Asteran. He's as beautiful as his name and just as brave. Asteran tells them of the danger Paradise 21 is still in from the arachnids. Lyra and her people won't survive a second battle with them ...more

After defeating the arachnids, other aliens were recovered and placed under observation. The gorgeous alien Lyra saved has quite a tale to tell, one which places all of Paradise 21 (Earthlings new home world) in danger once again. I read books one and two of this series but only vaguely recall Lyra. Switching to her point of view was refreshing. This is how all books in a series ought to be written. World-building in this young adult sci-fi novel detailed not only a completely different lifestyl ...more

I love Alien books. This book grips you and pulls you in from the first page. Not only do you have the arachnid Aliens which bring the awesome creepy effect but then you have the gorgeous alien Asteran. Lyra is swooning over Asteran and Tauren is not ok with this attraction. Asteran is from Priavenus and seems a little broken.

Did I say I love Alien books. This book is set apart from the other alien books that fluff the story and make all aliens pretty and appealing and while this book has that,

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Lyra Bryan has been saving lost souls all of her life and now she wants to and has to save the alien that is a survivor like herself from the arachnids' ship. Lyra has been the only one that can help her brother Leo comes back to the present after a visit to the past on Old Earth. Lyra and her family have kept Leo's mental illness a secret as much as they could. But Lyra always manages to bring him back. Lyra has a great bi

Very good! Over all, I loved it. A couple of things bothered me. This book seemed more "new adult-ish" than the previous ones, which I don't like. The girl was pretty immature. And the ending was too abrupt for my taste--leaving the relationships, the romance, the whole story, unfinished. Another chapter would have tied everything up. But definitely worth reading, I couldn't put it down! 4.5 stars.

As always, I'm blown away by Ms. Dionne's brilliance. She makes Lyra seem a bit fickle and dumb in the first two books of the series, but seeing what is happening from her eyes is an interesting point of view. It just cements my realization that there are so many views of this reality. I gobbled up this book just as quickly as the first two, having finished all three within a week. They are addicting and hard to put down. I highly recommend all work by this author.

Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation-favorite character was Data by far-, and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.
