BOOK SAMPLE - If You've Read One Stephen King Novel...
The issue that comes up with any Stephen King novel is that they are ultimately formulaic in nature. You generally have the primary characters who are working to carve out a life. You then have these characters struggling in the middle of a will they choose the good and everything that entails? Or will they seek out the rewards that evil might be able to achieve for them in the short term?
Truth be told, King has diverged from this formula to construct Doctor Sleep. Instead of this novel being the tale of horror in good eventually triumphing over evil in some unexpected way, we are presented with an almost poignant story of a man's recovery from both addiction and the cycle of terror.
There are two plots that eventually converge with this
· You have Abra, who has the ability to communicate with Torrance over long distances. She is just coming of age and realizing the full potential of her powers.

Read this. Was good. Much like the Shining - the book, very intense. Quite sure the movie will not do the book justice.
