I like when Papa Bear plays the hapless goofball with his family members, even though the trope is not my favorite. However, I do not like it when his goofy antics go public. A lot of people have family members that are goofy, but we don't expose them to the ridicule of the world. It is a good story about being prepared, which I did like.

Does Papa Bear have to be so overly confident, boastful and thick-headed? When the story relies on the father being kind of the butt of the joke, that doesn't seem like a very helpful story for children to me.
