Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

Do you like M/F, M/M, M/F/F, and M/M/F/F erotica?
Do you like Dommes? Doms? Male and female subs?
Do you like bisexuals? Pansexuals? Who-the-hell-cares-sexuals?
Do you care that the plot is not really feasible... oh who are we kidding, completely ridiculous and just a forum to show pages and pages of hot sex?,
Do you like virgins who are experts at oral sex, vaginal sex, anal sex, and BDSM?
Do you like vaguely historical settings that seem to exi

Well, hello. What a hot little twisty historical romp.

What happens when you bring four horny people (two women, two men) together in a mishmash of creative coupling?

Lots of naughtiness, that’s what.

These beautiful, open-minded kinksters have the money and connections to protect them from society’s censure. The author attempts some other plot building with a hint of political maneuverings (it’s set in Europe during the Napoleon era), but this is essentially all about erotic frolicking. The twis

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what's known as a bodice ripper.

Correction: a kinky, polyamorous bodice ripper. Scorching hot at that. The way in which Ms. Mulry weaves these four characters together seemed a natural progression. There is instalove between Sebastian and Anna, but I'm giving it latitude due to the historical setting. I know. It's a bogus rationalization. Let's just say I was persuaded to overlook it by

The first thing that struck me as I began to read Bound to Be a Groom was what a beautifully formatted book it is. I have hundreds of books on my e-reader, and most of them have some sort of formatting error. I've grown accustomed to overlooking them, putting them out of my mind. From cover to author bio, this is easily the most beautiful book I've downloaded.

The story is set in Spain and England in the early years of the Napoleonic Wars - just before Wellington joins up with Spanish partisans t

I wanted to like this novel. I wanted to be able to hold this novel up to people looking for female dominant romances and be like THIS, THIS IS THE ONE. There was aslo bisexual male submissive, which is GREAT. I wanted this novel to be so much, and it wasn't. ow. It wasn't a bad novel, and I think a lot of people are going to love it just as it is, I will suggest it to readers. It was very queer, it was poly, and it was kinky. It was a completely different entry into the historical romance genre ...more

I received Bound to be a Groom in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I passed this book by a couple of times when I was scrolling for my next review book. Historical isn’t a genre that I normally lean toward, but for some reason, this one just made me want to take a chance on it. The description is intriguing, but it didn’t come close to how much fun this book turned out to be.

I loved Anna and Pia from the beginning. I have to admit that part of the reason why I don’t normally pick up Histo
Well spank me silly, this is why I do favor erotic reads, Bound To Be A Groom gave me a romping old world fantasy through the pages. I requested this on Net Galley, as it was utterly impossible to pass this titillating read up. Forewarning this book will BURN oh so good it will leave you swooning. Got it as a great deal on ARe, and decided to try it out, had no idea what to expect.

Historical romance (light on the historical) with quad-sex (FMMF and every combination in between), some BDSM, dominant heroine and submissive hero w/ FF and MM scenes.

The Bottom Line
If you’re into erotic triad/quad romances…get it. Lordy.

This was a brilliantly written story, with a hot enjoyable plot. The characters were interesting and well developed. I connected with all of the characters and found myself hoping they got their happy endings.
There was only one part I felt was missing and I can't say a lot without giving too much away but (view spoiler)

Well, this turned out to be essentially a porno in written form, darn near the stereotypical "bodice ripper" that we hear about. All that was missing was some bad "brownchickenbrowncow" music in the background at times, I must say. Now, I knew that going in, so I wasn't surprised by it, but I was amused at how little plot there turned out to be - with what little there was revolving around adding the next person to the poly group.

When it comes to matters of the heart, author Megan Mulry does not limit the number of people involved, nor does she shy away from same-sex relationships.

In Bound to be a Groom, Mulry combines a historical romance with erotica. Young Anna, knowing that she must establish herself as an independent woman outside the convent, is determined to do whatever it takes in order to be with the woman sh

I came across this book as a recommendation on tumblr, about it being a historical romance that plays with not only different sexualities and bdsm, but also polyamory, and well, that certainly was up my alley so I had to get it and check it out.

The summary's pretty straightforward, Anna hoping to learn to become a courtesan so she can earn enough money to eventually live the good life with her childhood friend and lover, Pia. She sets her eye on Sebastian to teach her the ways of sex. Of course,

Oh how I love a bit of debauchery in the morning! *swoons* Two Kitties. Two Cocks. The quick of it is that Anna and her lover Pia have a plan. A plan to escape their current surroundings and live the rest of their lives together. Yet nothing goes as p

When I started reading this book I didn't know what to expect. An erotic historical novel? There are quite a few books out there labelled as such that fail to deliver the whole package. Well I need not have worried because this book delivered on all levels.

You can ask Jay; I’m not much of a historical reader. So you may be as surprised that I wanted to read this story. This story also has girly bits. Lots of them. I’ve never been one to read many m/f stories. And I’ve never read an f/f story, although I’ve recently purchased two. But there was something about this book—maybe the cover (because we all know I have a thing for covers), maybe the blurb, definitely the intrigue—that made me need to read it. So here we are

A very well written, enjoyable novel about four lovers and how they overcome society’s strict rules governing their sexual behavior. When I first received this book, I was hesitant to read it as it is not my usual type of read; however, after reading it, I am extremely glad I gave it a chance! The way Ms. Mulry writes this novel makes it truly outstanding. The love scenes between Anna and Pia are loving and tasteful and the way Anna is dominant yet loving makes her character seem caring. Wow! I have read many 4 some stories in the past but none of them have been like this one. I loved how everyone is bisexual and honest about what they wanted from each other and in life. Megan did an amazing job of making everyone feel like a major part of the story, which many times author's are not able to do.

This book gets a 4.5 stars from me!
Wow... the whole storyline was just WOW... This book is erotic and set in historical time, the beginning shows with the two female leads Pia and Anna who have fallen in love at the convent, Anna is the dominant female in their relationship, her whole goal is to find her way in life so she and Pia can be together and not have to hide their love....then she meets Sebastian... a beautiful submissive who falls in love with her... he accepts her relationship with Pia and makes arrangements once she h ...more

I tried this book specifically because it was different from "traditional" regency romance novels. It is true only in that there are essentially four main characters who fall in love with each other.
The author knows how to write her sex scenes. In fact I felt like I was being given a how to lesson in the penultimate love scene. If you want to read an erotic novel about four people who happen to live at the same time as Napoleon, then by all means read this.

I'm not a big reader of lesbian love but this book brings love of all kinds together and made it into a erotic tale of love, satisfaction and burning desire. These characters are great. Sebastian is my favorite, he's sexy, sweet, loving and so much more. Farleigh is my next favorite, he's hot as hell, animalistic and sexually on fire. Pia is sweet and adoring and open to things she never thought of and Anna, Anna is a whirlwind of moods. She starts as caring and loving, turns to demanding and co ...more

Well, then.

A super steamy, polyamorous historical romance. Who knew?

Pia and Anna are in love but it is 1808 in Spain and being together outside of the convent is not an option. Anna sets out determined to find a suitable man that hopefully doesn't want to have sex with her to marry and then fetch Pia. Almost immediately she meets Sebastian and suddenly she is in love with him, too. If you can buy into that premise, then you'll be fine. Turns out Sebastian has no problem with Anna and Pia as he
Historical erotic romance featuring M/M, F/F, F/M/F, and M/M/F/F, plus some light BDSM. Worth the $.99 I paid, but not much more than that. A fun romp for an afternoon or evening and it does have some well contrived sex scenes, but let's face it: this book is not about plot. There's a weak attempt at war/espionage plot but it really does nothing but serve as a way to get 3 characters to England and into the bed of another. Honestly, it was mildly confusing and not interesting enough to focus on. ...more

3.5 stars - First let me say that books featuring FF relationships are not something I seek out, simply because the love scenes DO NOT interest me. The relationships I do enjoy, but I always skim or jump past the sex.

However, add MM to the mix and shake it all together with a foursome and I'm intrigued. So I gave this story a try after reading an excerpt of the author's writing and enjoyed her sense of humor. The end result is I'm very happy to have read this. The characters are an interesting m

I’ve read sensual historical romance at varying degrees of heat, all of them heterosexual. Monica Burns, Sabrina Darby, Kate McKinley are the first names that come to mind. But Megan Mulry's saucy novella explores homosexuality, bisexuality, submission and domination in an erotic historical romp set in 1808 Spain. But it isn’t just about the sex—which is scorching—it’s also about four loving and vulnerable people who dare to live their deepest and darkest dreams.

Bound to be a Groom is completely different to anything I've read before, and it was different in a surprisingly good way. It stars two women and two men who all fall deeply in love. Add to that one of the heroines and one of the heroes are dominants, with the other pair being their submissives. All of this is enough to make this book stand out from the crowd, but when you add in the fact that it is set in the Regency era you have a fabulously unique book. Bound to be a Groom is about finding love, leaving love, rediscovering what love is, and being open to the love the universe presents to you.

Anna and Pia are young, forbidden lovers at a convent in Spain when Anna decides she must take action if her and Pia are ever going to be able to truly be together. Anna decides she must leave to become a courtesan or perhaps a mistress. Anna promises Pia that once she has the means she will retrieve Pia and they will no longer have to hide to be together.

Mulry writes this racy historical romance with a dash of modernity on the side. She takes the basic concept of the time period in question and then runs with it. This was a quick, heated novel that brings to light the conflicts of what an individual wants with what society demands. The stark contrast becomes especially poignant in this time period. There is an inherent beauty to Mulry’s writing. She speaks to the deepest part of her readers while creating a very vivid picture. The incomparably t ...more
