I didn’t really like this book. It has too much of a sleazy/”porny” undertone to it even though it tries to come across as something else.
The hero, Rowdy (a totally stupid nickname as were the names of his two cousins Dawg and Natches –sounds like slang for an STD)—is a bit of a creepy Neanderthal. He’s way overboard with his “alphaness” for my taste. He’s too possessive and borderline psycho staking a claim on Kelly as “his” and his cousins even say “he’s CLAIMED her” --and mind you, so does hot and cold Kelly! As a reader you’re thinking “What the???? Is she a pet or something???” He’s also screaming out “MINE” when they’re going at it. I think you can accept that in a paranormal but I can’t really see someone sane repeating that time and again in the “throes of rapture”. He’s always referring to her or complimenting her as if she was a little girl. She’s so “pretty” (in an almost lascivious way), has “pretty nipples”, a “pretty slit”—just made my skin crawl. His permanent erection, regardless of the situation (hey look you’re scared out of your tree—oh baby I’m hard! --Yuck.) just adds to the seediness of the story.
The two often fly off the handle for next to nothing. One minute they’re happy-go-lucky and the next all hell broke loose and you’re wondering where that came from.
The story drags once you hit the halfway mark and I was counting the pages and virtually skimming the end. It’s very repetitious with how he won’t share her, how’s she’s scared of the stalker and how his cousins want to share her. This theme is there from early on and it’s as if the author didn’t know what else to say so it was used as filler to finish up the book.
Kelly’s attack was well-written. You really felt the horror she felt and at the beginning of the story you see how scared and introverted she’s become—so the story starts out well but it’s downhill after.
It’s very sexually explicit which you know coming in but I didn’t like how the couple came together sexually –a very “trash” feel to it all with a mediocre writing style in my opinion.

I seem to be a masochist when it comes to books because I cannot resist the call of the full-blown-rant-inducing novels, no matter how often I say "well, I'm not going to read that". I'm not sure what it is but I can't help myself and, sure enough, this book was truly horrendous in every way.
I really enjoyed Wild Card by Lora Leigh, so much so that I immediately sought out her other books. I have no idea whether her Breed and Elite Ops series are as good as the first novel I tried but I doubt they can possibly be as bad as the second (yeah and I probably shouldn't say that). The difference between Wild Card and Nauti Boy is like the difference between sex and rape. And no, not the games couples play where they chase each other around screaming "no, stop that!" This book was so so disgusting. Why would you centre erotica around a rape story? Why would you centre a story that is meant to be about celebrating sex and sexuality around a plot that is about sex crimes?
Rape is not a joke. Rape is not sexy. And rape victims most definitely do not recover by having the trauma screwed out of them. I resent the message. No, wait, that doesn't even begin to express what I'm feeling:
I RESENT THE FUCKING MESSAGE!!!
Does Lora Leigh genuinely think that people who are raped just need a good screwing to get it out of there system? This book isn't bad, it's warped. Once I realised that the author was actually trying to sell sex to me as a way of alleviating the trauma after a sex attack (anal, by the way, because that's the only way Lora Leigh does it), I was completely switched off from the erotic aspect. I couldn't even enjoy the sex scenes because I was so grossed out.
Also, what I liked about the dirty talk in Wild Card made me nauseous in this. The author is known for her particular fondness for graphic and nasty dirty mumblings during the sex but her constant need to push the boundaries makes for some really awful lines. I like dirty talk, it's sexy most of the time... and yet, Lora Leigh takes it too far in this novel. I don't think that many people actually say this to one another and if a guy said some of this crap to me I'd laugh.
And why couldn't the guys have been called something like John or David? Instead of Rowdy, Dawg and Natches... Rowdy. Dawg. Natches. Are you kidding me here, Lora? What is this mess you have written? I can't even properly put into words just how damn offensive this trash is.
Oh, and then there's the insult to the injury, isn't there? Of course there is. Yeah, not only do rape victims just need a good shag... wait for this... there are two types of girls - the good and the bad - the former are the virgins and the kind that are worth marrying some day, the latter are more promiscuous and are only good to be treated as whores without any kind of feelings whatsoever... they can't possibly ever get married or have any relationship extending beyond a gang bang with the 'Nauti boy' members. So if you're a woman who's ever had sex, be prepared to sacrfice any chance of a healthy relationship... but, lucky you, you do get to be shared by three 'Nauti boys' called Rowdy, Dawg and Natches!

Rated 3.5
Okay, I should have rated it less than 3.5 stars, but three things prevented me from doing that:
1.H/H fell in love at a young age.
2.Dominant and protective hero.
3.Good ending.
Now, what I hated the most about this book:
Rowdy kept pressuring her to make a decision about his cousins. And I hated how the cousins acted like Rowdy has to share her with them just because they protected and didn’t let any other men touch her(Except her stalker, of course.) during his absence. Yeah, they did always share women but-In my opinion-they shouldn't have acted like they own her or something. They also claimed to love her, but does it sound like love to you:
Sharing rights? How dare he talk about her like that when she clearly doesn’t want anyone but Rowdy?! Ugh, so annoying.
If H/H weren’t so likable, I wouldn't have finished this book. So, I probably won’t read the next installment, Nauti Nights anytime soon.

CONVERSATION BEWTEEN HUSBAND AND I ABOUT BOOK.
HUBBY: ‘ What shit are you reading now?’

HUBBY: *leans in closely to look at cover* ‘ You know that guy has bigger pecs than your boobies?'

Well you would think I would learn my damn lesson. This is the third time I have tried to write the review. Each time the computer bucks up on me and deletes it. This time I am writing it in Microsoft word and saving it.
I hear all your GASPS. But yes people only three stars for me. It would have been bumped up to four if it weren’t for the constant porn undertone.
I did like this book but there was just so many things in the story that had my eyebrows furrowing and my head shaking. For instance -
Kelly, who was almost anally raped, would and have a large fear of anal now right? And Rowdy who wants to win her heart should probably be compassionate and stay away from her bum right? Think again. Rowdy took every chance he could to slip his finger in, lick it, touch it, and finally penetrate it with his engorged penis.
But he didn’t stop there. Even after knowing that Kelly’s would be attacker whispered things into her ear from behind her, Rowdy still kept coming up behind her and saying freakishly porn like things into her ear.
I’m still trying to wrap my head around why the cousins all want to get into the sac with this step brother/sister combo - but hey, if that’s what gets your jolly off.
All in all this is you’re A TYPICAL erotica. Lots of porn related speech, inappropriate sex at inappropriate times and lets not forget ANAL!!!
I will continue the series if only to read abut the cousins getting their tails whipped into shape.

If you like light suspense, Harleys, snippy heroines, and extreme alphas with a touch of redneck, then this might be the one for you. Rowdy and his two cousins, Dawg, and Natches, have been sharing their women for years. However, Rowdy has fallen for his step-sister (yes that is right) and now that she is no longer jail-bait and he is out of the military, he's ready to get serious. He knows she's had feelings for him too, so he sees his return home as his time to claim Kelley.
However, he's hoping that Kelley will come to realize that she is going love all the pleasure he and his cousins can give her together. He feels they are pretty much a package deal, and she'll learn to love it once she tries it just once. In the meantime, she has an attracted a stalker and rapist while Rowdy was away, and it’s up to the MacKay boys todo save Kelley.
This really isn't a bad story. It does have its borderline sleaze factors IMO. I don't know what it says about me that I was more bothered by the step-sibling love than the cousins wanting to share Rowdy's woman. *ahem*. (there is no man love here, its all about pleasing her). I am interested in reading his cousin Natches' story, which is book three.
Rowdy is one of those extreme alphas that lay down the law with yelling, then if that does not work, he will distract the woman into rough sex to make her see things his way.
The copy I own is clearly mislabeld as contemporary romance. What? There is zero romance in this book. At best I'd say it could pass as a romantic suspense.

I really liked this book... did I love it? No. Let me explain...
I liked the plot in this book a lot! It alone could be worth 5 stars. Kelly is a 24 year old girl who has waited her whole life for Rowdy. He is 6 years older and joined the military when Kelly was 16 to get away from her. You see, Rowdy already had feelings for her, and she was just way too young!
Rowdy is finally back for good from the military, and when he comes home waiting for Kelly to leap into his arms, he's shocked to find a terrified wallflower, who is nothing like the vibrant, fiery, flirting girl she once was. Kelly was attacked by a stalker when he was on his last tour in the military, and Rowdy is bound and determined to hunt down that stalker no matter what...
Rowdy slowly seduces Kelly into trusting him and they have a very hot sexual relationship, all the while searching for her stalker...
The reason I gave this book 4 stars is that Im not much of a fan of the unwilling girl story line. Kelly had been through something horrific, and rowdy was the perfect guy to coax her out of it. It just seemed like there was a lot of arguing about the same things (like Rowdy protecting Kelly) or why they had to stay together for her protection... now, dont get me wrong, most of these scenes ended with some hot sex, so I enjoyed it... I just wanted a little more willingness as the book went on, and I never really got it.
Overall the book was really good and I plan on reading the next book very soon!

1.5* for me
This wasn't a good Lora Leigh read for me. One of the problems I had with this book is that I really didn't connect with either Kelly or Rowdy. (Which btw is the mascot for the Indianapolis Pacers - which is a, I don't know what, so that made me dislike the name even more.) The love didn't feel real to me. Maybe it was because the love was from page one and the rest of the book just didn't make it feel real to me. I read Wild Card of the Elite Ops series and the love was there through the whole thing and was believable for me. There was such intensity between Nathan and Bella that was totally missing here for me.
Another problem I had with the book was the characters of Kelly and Rowdy were either arguing about who knows what or going at it. The arguments just seemed to come out of nowhere and were ended with a kiss that led to more.
Kelly's character came across as weak in the beginning (because of the near rape, I understand that) but then we were later presented with an image of a tough woman who takes no crap from her man and I just didn't buy it.
I also had a problem with the sharing between the cousins. The whole "would they" or "won't they" through the majority of the book was annoying. Then when the "moment" happened it really soured the love scenes between Rowdy and Kelly for me. It felt like a weak plot point to bring out the bad guy but I don't think it was needed to set off the psycho stalker. I'm not a fan of menage at all, and I knew going in there was a brief scene where it was possible, but it was too much for me. Honestly, if you don't like menage and can stand to not read all books in a series, this one can be skipped. My OCD about reading all books in a series and in order made me unable to skip this one.

This was a pretty good book. It was a common theme for Leigh with the man can’t stay away from the girl so he goes into the military until she gets older. Then he comes back for her. When Rowdy comes back this time he finds out that Kelly has been attacked and is being stalked. With the help of his 2 cousins, Rowdy sets out to find out who is doing it. The plot was very well done. In fact, I found this to be a little more plot filled than most of LL’s books.
I would have given the book 5 stars but Leigh did not give me a ménage! I have come to expect that from her, that might have even been one of the reason I was anticipating this series. But in the end Kelly could not handle it and Rowdy got too jealous. There was an aborted attempt towards the end that got interrupted. I did not want it to be like the August men, but just a little extra fun would have been nice!!
Overall, still a very good book by Leigh and one I would recommend to fans of this genre.

Rowdy and Kelly. I ended up liking this story more than I thought I would. At halfway I was tempted to dnf it, but then Rowdy's intentions changed. I've tried Ms. Leigh's other series, 'Men of August' and it wasn't my cup of tea. I was afraid that this book and maybe the next two would go that way as well. I'm not really a menage fan. I especially don't like the hero to share OTHER women. Nope. Not into that. The Augusts are apparently cousins to the McKays, but fortunately that is the only connection between the series.
Anyways, Rowdy's dad married Kelly's mom when Kelly was still a kid. But they knew each other before that and never saw themselves as siblings. Kelly always knew that Rowdy was 'the one' and waited for him to finally make his move. He enlists to keep his hands off her when she is too young (he's 6 years her senior) and does two tours. FINALLY when she a 24 year old virgin for crying out loud, he decides to take the plunge. I must confess that this kinda pissed me off, these authors and their double standards! (knocked off a star for that!). But anyways, he's a year too late.
While he was gone, Kelly was attacked by a crazy man who got away and still stalks her a year later. She's become a frightened shadow of her former feisty carefree self. But Rowdy is back and with the help of his two buddies/cousins, Dawg and Natches he's determined to catch the creep and make Kelly his own. The story reads quickly, and smoothly. The action was smart and well played out without going on forever. Mostly the story revolves around catching the creep, and what exactly Rowdy's intentions are for Kelly. SOme of the sex is super hot and some I kinda skimmed. The ending is great but the epilogue is pointless.

Can't believe I didn't review this book when I read it in 2007. I remember not liking it because of Rowdy and his character. I thought the plot was dumb in that Kelly was almost raped and moved back home and was afraid of men. Then, she's being pressured by Rowdy and his two cousins for a three-some.
The three boys were known in town for their sharing and Rowdy was pressuring Kelly to comply. It all came to a head on a boat where they ALMOST have a ménage à trois, but are interrupted. Afterwards, Kelly has second thoughts. But Rowdy didn't like it. When the parents intervene and tell the couple how it almost broke them up in their younger days, Rowdy decided to keep her to himself.
But, his cousins were NOT happy.
I wanted more plot in this one. It had so much potential, but failed miserably for This Reader.

I've had this series waiting around on Mt TBR for a while now and I'm finally getting a chance to start it. I figured I'd like, but wasn't sure how much because I know the complaints some other readers have about it. But for the most part, I really liked this book. I didn't really have any major complaints about it.

Kelly has wanted Rowdy for so long, but now she's scared of everything and hiding herself away. When Rowdy returns, she's surprised that her body still responds. That doesn't stop her fear completely, though, and her wariness of what Rowdy will ask of her. He and his two cousins, Dawg and Natches, are know for their sexual excesses and for sharing women. She knows Rowdy will want them to join in. And even though the idea turns her on and she's fantasized about it, she's not sure she could ever really do it. And while all that is happening, Her stalker is getting worse and she knows it's only a matter of time before he attacks again. I went in to this book expecting it to be a typical Lora Leigh menage-type story with a core relationship that involves some group sex. So I was kinda surprised by how it all worked out. There's definitely a similar vibe to a lot of her other stories, especially the "Bound Hearts" books, but how it all works out is pretty unique to this book. I liked that. It made the story different. I liked the conflict each felt at involving Dawg and Natches, how conflicted they were about it. Especially from Rowdy's end. I thought his confusion over his change in feelings about the menage really cemented the love he felt for Kelly. And I also really like how Rowdy pushed Kelly to make everything her decision. As much as he wanted the menage at times and tried to persuade her to it, in the end, he told her she had to make the choice. That was a great aspect to the relationship.
I know some readers had issues with Rowdy's over-the-top Alpha-ness. I can see that in a way. He definitely is demanding and dominant and yes, sometimes he goes a little too far, but I wasn't really put off by it. He's just a very macho guy who likes to be in control, but I never really felt like it too much. It kinda went hand-in-hand with the whole "good ol' boy" vibe...which is also why I wasn't bothered by the nickname "Rowdy" when some others were.
There's also a bit of a suspense plot to the story. Nothing like you'd find in a romantic suspense book, but it was fairly solid. Gave the story some added depth and kept it from being a sex fest. It could have been stronger. The whodunnit was a bit weak because there weren't clues to help you figure out who it was. There was only one scene that introduced a potential suspect and I felt it was bit obvious that he was gonna be the bad guy. So I thought that could have been done a little better.
As with any Lora Leigh book, there's lots of smokin' hot sex. Definitely some yummy scenes here. And also as with any Lora Leigh book, there are some editing issues. I've yet to read a Leigh book that didn't have editing problems, but they were mostly minor here and nowhere near as bad as some of her other books.
All in all, I liked this book. I thought the relationship dynamics were great, and the storyline was interesting. If the suspense part had been a little stronger, and Rowdy not quite so he-man now and then, it might have been a 5 start book. And I liked it enough that I want to move right on to the next book in the series.

Maybe I'm slow. This is the third Lora Leigh story I've read. I keep thinking I'll like one of them. I like reading erotica. But the whole use of rape as a plot device, step brother - step sister as hero - heroine, group sex with your cousins as the only true sign of love, and half a dozen other things just sort of turned me off on this one. So why three stars? Well, I'll remember this book long after I will have forgotten so many others. I'll also remember a few of the blazing hot scenes.

I read a few reviews and know that some people mentioned this was the weakest of the series. I liked it a lot so if this is the weakest, I'm ready for the next one...
This is my first Lora Leigh book and I read it for a June challenge and glad I did. I look forward to more of her books.

Halfway mark review****I am liking the characters Rowdy and Kelly. She is younger but not totally naive when it comes to knowing what she wants, even after being nearly raped, she still gets shivers from Rowdy's touch. I don't like the fact that Rowdy wants to have a 4-some (w/ her and his cousins) its the supposed center of his love fantasies, but then if you consider the background given he doesn't have much to stand on w/o his cousin's help, it seems. I don't think it's a confidence issue but more a comfort issue.
As for Rowdy (the names I just gleam over b/c otherwise I can't take them seriously) the strength of character he shows by leaving because he is tempted and returning to protect Kelly after the attack is a great way to support the story of thier romance.
I am glad Lora Leigh does not make the younger Kelly seem doe eyed over the older much more experianced Rowdy, she has her own personality and doesn't try to match up.

I am not looking for my perfect mate in these stories but a good story, and I found that.

There is unbelievable amounts of emotion tied in with the physical act of sex itself. I wouldn't have believed erotic romance could be so emotionally invovled until I read how Lora Leigh describes the story in her books. Kudos Lora!

Nauti Boy fue un libro que me recomendaron ( gracias Olga, a pesar de todo te lo agradezco mucho ) y aunque desde que lei la sinopsis no me senti convencida de leerlo, decidi darle una oportunidad a pesar de que mis anteriores experiencias con la autora no habian sido del todo agradables, no se que es exactamente lo que me desagrada de las historias de Lora Leigh, si sus historias rebuscadas, la carencia de trama en sus libros o que, pero los libros que he leido de ella no me han gustado.
Me considero bastante abierta mentalmente, pero tengo un limite, no me gusta leer sobre trios, respeto a quien le guste o lo practique pero yo simplemente no le veo " la atraccion " y aunque en este libro el trio no se llega a consumar, igual no fue de mi agrado. * se encoge de hombros *
Quizas soy mas anticuada respecto a relaciones de lo que pienso o simplemente no era el momento para leer esta historia, sea como sea no creo que vuelva a leer nada de la autora, definitivamnete no es para mi.

LOVED! And I'm loving this series!
So far I have read 4 books of this series, but because I'm a lazy person writing reviews I haven't even started with this one yet! lol
The characters are amazing, the romance is fantastic, the sex scenes are off the charts and to add to this already perfect there is the suspense!
It's my kind of favorite book genre: romance with erotica and a twist of suspense!

What a great book! I couldn't put it down. I am so happy that it ended the way it did! I like ménage, but I didn't think it would work with this couple. So much excitement too with a killer on the loose.

Rowdy has been crazy about his step-sister Kelly since she was 16 but as he was 22 at the time he didn't feel it would be right to take things any further until she was older. To escape from her flirting he joined the marines where he has spent the last 8 years until deciding that Kelly is now old enough for him to claim her as his. When he returns home he finds a very different Kelly from the one he remembers on his last visit a year ago. Having been the victim of a vicious attempted rape and still being stalked by the perpetrator Kelly has become a shadow of her former self and is very nervous around men - even Rowdy. With the help of his cousins Dawg and Natches Rowdy is determined to stop her stalker but he also wants to help Kelly regain her confidence and begin a relationship with her.
Having really enjoyed Lora Leigh's Wild Card I was looking forward to reading Nauti Boy but unfortunately I was disappointed and found this one just didn't work for me. One of the main issues I had was how quickly Rowdy pushed Kelly into a relationship with him and how he immediately asked her to allow his cousins to join them in bed together. Considering the nature of Kelly's attack and the fact that she was terrified of Rowdy when he first returned home it didn't make sense to me that she would get over her fear so quickly. I also couldn't understand how she would feel comfortable with some of the sex scenes but I can't really go into more detail without giving spoilers. I just felt that everything moved far too quickly which made it very unbelievable for me.
I did find I liked their relationship more towards the end of the book but I didn't feel emotionally invested in the characters. The sex scenes were hot but I noticed several places where the same phrasing was used from Wild Card, perhaps I noticed this more because I read both books one after the other but it still irritated me. I also found the showdown at the end with the stalker seemed a bit rushed and was over far too quickly and easily. I had enjoyed the build up throughout the book but felt let down by the ending. Overall I'm not too sure if I'll be reading the rest of the books in this series although I may pick up the next one if I see it in the library. I will definitely be continuing with Lora's Elite Ops series though and am looking forward to trying her Seals and Breed series, both of which I've heard good things about.

Another awful awful book I remember very clearly years after
H/h have always been in love, but the hero left because she was too young for him.
At the start of the book, she was no longer so young, early 20s, played the independent but indeed just behaved like a simpleton. The poor girl, still a virgin of course, almost got rapped (anally). When the hero came back and learnt that he had not been informed of that (he was away and kept his distance), he decided to protect her whatever happened. His second brain (or maybe his only one) that is beating between his legs led him to quite a few mistakes and stupid decisions. Including that of letting her flirting (hmm what a euphemism!) with his two childhood friends, stopping them just before penetration. Then it's not really sex of course;) Well maybe for the author but not for me and not in this context.

I read Nauti Nights before reading this book and I'd definitely say Nauti Boy had more plot, though it didn't feel any less pornographic! It also had a certain sleaze factor to it that wasn't very attractive. Though likeable enough, the hero and heroine are actually related by marriage (yes, they are step-siblings!:o so I can't say I was entirely okay with their union. And as usual, I couldn't wrap my mind around the whole sharing thing and was glad that brief interlude between the characters was interrupted before it got too hefty. All in all, the feel of the story was a bit too redneck for my taste. This wasn't Lora Leigh at her best, in my opinion.

No ha estado mal, la pasión entre los dos me ha encantado, pero el malo... A mí me gusta ver al malo en otras escenas, poder deducir quién es y meter la pata hasta el fondo, pero aquí no ha habido esa posibilidad y le ha faltado eso al libro, jugar con la mente del lector. La relación entre los primos no me ha convencido, por lo que me siento como Kelly: Douglas sólo para mí, no necesito a nadie más alrededor mientras le tenga a él ;)

Two stars: one for minimal grammar errors, the second for helping me believe I could write my own book.
This was my second Laura Leigh book— the first had a plot so asinine it proudly claims the title of my first DNF. This book had an interesting premise but there is only so much I can take of Rowdy telling Kelly he won’t touch her or will only do one thing and then immediately going way further on the very next page. Any time Kelly has an argument or concern he just starts having sex with her. The finer details feel poorly researched at best— which fine, this is smut— but even the smut wasn’t satisfying. Aside from these characters knowing each other from childhood, there’s no depth to their relationship. This was a spite finish for me.

Really, I'm not even going to start with the plot's message but the overall story line, the characterization of the characters... after 12 years in the shelf, can it really be just a matter of my taste not being into erotica anymore?
I can now let go of this book without feeling guilty, I tried it, it had one or two things that had potential but the purpose of this author's work here is just pointless to me.

Well I didn't like this book at all.
List of things I didn't like is pretty long.
First of all I didn't like the names of these guys, which were really stupid. Really woman, what were you thinking calling them Rowdy, Natches and Dawg?
Moreover, I found it highly implausible that a guy who seems to be a typical alpha male would be so eager to share his woman. Even if he did it before and it's with his cousins and it doesn't really matter that he changed his mind later.
What is more, I hated reading how hero was always in love with heroine, but in the meantime he was screwing hundreds of women and wasn't even bothered to think about her. She, on the other hand, was sitting at home, guarding her virginity and waiting for him to come home. Plain stupid!
Finally, I can't actually believe that you can love somebody and still want to have sex with other people and saying that it's just who you are and that there's nothing wrong with that.
Are these women who love somebody like that are stupid or what? There are no happy endings for that kind of couples.

What is the worst for me is that I haven't found in Nauti Boy any emotion between characters. There is no love there. Just lust and really poorly described. The love scenes were so boring that I just skimmed through them.
I'm so displeased with this book that I won't touch anything from Lora Leigh in the future. I want to forget that she exists and writes books as soon as I can.

I'm was becoming a fan for Leigh and up until now I almost had no complaints. I have no idea what was going on with her in this book. First, as a Marine, the three cousins had no characteristics of a Marine especially one with combat experience. But I can forgive that because most authors write about military men but don't get it right At least Leigh didn't try to write about things which could have happened in the Corps and got them all wrong. What I can't get over is how Kelly sees Rowdy and she's so scared of him she doesn't even want him to touch her. Yet three pages later he's got her up on a counter with her legs wrapped around him. COME ON!!! Kelly is a rape victim and no matter how smooth a dude is or how much she might love him, no way was that happening. Then for him to take her anally and her not freak on him? I read for escapism but I like to be able to stomach it. She did redeem herself in the fact she didn't make Kelly give in to the cousins on the sharing issue. Which reminds me, how does a father who's done the sharing/swapping/swinging thing go all those years without schooling his son? I loved Wild Card and cannot wait to read more of that series but I think she may have spoiled the Nauti series for me.

My first Lora Leigh book - WHOA. Kelly and Rowdy had the best thing going for them right away because the stepbrother/stepsister, forbidden love element is my favorite. Rowdy and Kelly have fought their strong, intense love for each other for years, while Rowdy turned to the Marines to try to keep him away. Finally, he returns home but things have changed, since in his absence Kelly was attacked and everyone kept that news from Rowdy while he was gone. As they overcome a stalker who becomes more bold and a love that can no longer be denied, Rowdy and Kelly develop a new facet to their relationship that only adds to their amazing love story. I loved that there wasn't a lot of time wasted with the brutal attack keeping Kelly and Rowdy apart; he was part of her healing and she was able to keep him fully separate from her attacker. The only thing that keeps it from a full five-star read is all the back-and-forth on the "sharing" issue between Rowdy and his two cousins. There was so much talking and worrying about something hypothetical that never happens. Still, it's a small complaint because Rowdy and Kelly made me feel so much in the course of their story and I could not put it down.

With the help of his cousins, not only would the threat to her safety be removed, but he knew she would finally come out of her shell and they would make sure she knew the pleasures a man could give her not just the pain that her attacker had inflicted.

This book is not a boring romance, it is graphic and even though at first is seems unrealistic to seemingly force the issue, the book does seem to have a flow to it that makes it difficult to put down. This is the first Lora Leigh book that I have read and I will be looking for the next one and some of her others as well.

I loved this book,it had me hooked from the first page the first time I read it and it did the same thing on the second go around. It not a book for the faint hearted as it is quite explicit but if you know other titles by Lora Leigh then you know what to expect and for those who have read 50 shades you now know what an erotic romance should be, not that weak imitation that claims to be the start of a new genre. There is no pretence here you just get hot sex with a damn good story, no bad 70 porn language just red hot sex. This book has the added advantage of being an erotic romantic suspense so there is the added danger there to add thee this adrenaline rush. This is a fine example of what this genre has to offer, a book that is defiantly only for grown ups and dare I say it not for those who thought 50 Shades of Grey was the antithesis of the erotic romance genre as I think they would be overwhelmed and scandalized by the explicit language in this book. I think there should be a new sticker on this book 'if you liked 50 Shades of Grey you wont like this book it is too grown up!!
