This was such a fun, hot and crazy sexy little read of how three minutes of speed dating can open up the path to romance of the forever kind.

The read starts off with Valentine Jones not being able to say no to her always the romantic friend Maggie, and let's herself be dragged off to a round of speed dating.

During the course of the evening Val ends up with the very delectable Finn, who by the way is not there to pick up woman but to chaperone his niece against the wolves of the speed dating wor

This book was a quick, fun read, and I enjoyed every second of reading the book. Val she has a smarta** mouth on her, "what am I doing here?" she asked. "Well, I'm working, Finn. I'm taking photographs of the wedding guests. So if you could raise your glass and smile at the camera, we can get this over with." Finn, he's a playboy that's no secret but the fact that he's willing to lose his wh**ing ways for Val, must mean something right? "What if." He rubbed the back of his neck with a tanned han ...more

Three Minutes to Happiness. The Logan Series, Book 2. Sally Clements
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
In the mood for romance I picked up this one. Its a simple story, not riveting, not gripping where you just Have to know what comes next, but a well written and plotted, standard romance. Val is a sweet lady, but with the examples of her failed marriage and her mums serial boyfriend/husband encounters, she's convinced true love doesn't exist, and its a waste of effort looking for it. She's

This breezy little romance is high on cuteness, if not a bit low on substance.

Photographer Val is divorced and not really looking for romance, but nonetheless agrees to join her friend at a speed dating get together. Only one man intrigues her enough to click the "yes" box, and that's architect Finn Logan. He checks the "yes" box for her, but never calls her.

They meet again, this time when Val photograph's a wedding that Finn attends. And this time, Finn won't let her go, even if letting women

This book was a fairly quick read, but with quite a bit of fluff. Basically, the main character Val (short for Valentine) is ironically against love and the love interest, Finn, is also against it, but very into making it. They meet at a speed dating even that both were dragged to against their will and bond over their desire to be anywhere but at this event. They then have several convenient "chance" meetings afterward and can't decide how much to like each other. The concept of his having a "h ...more

Are you ever in the mood for an uncomplicated romance that has a tiny bit of steam along with some sweetness? Then look no further than Three Minutes to Happiness by Sally Clements. This is a nicely written story that flows well from start to finish.

Aspiring photographer Valentine Jones is a nice young woman who fell in love at a very young age, and as a result, married the wrong guy. Now she is divorced, making strides in her quest to be a recognized photographer and not interested in falling i

Val (Valentine) gets dragged to a speed dating event by her romantic roommate Maggie. Maggie is set on finding true love, which Val has given up after her husband cheated on her and got divorced two years ago. Val goes along, but has not meet anyone she would check off to be contacted by until Finn. Finn Logan is there only to watch over his younger cousin who signed them both up. Finn's love is his work and his har

This was another fun read from Sally Clements that had some great characters who made you laugh, made you sigh, and made you smile all the way through the book. There wasn’t a ton of tension and the plot wasn’t a very deep, but it was a light read that was lots of fun and very enjoyable.

Val and Finn had some fun moments together that made me laugh. Val had a way of keeping Finn on his toes and making him want more…which of course wasn’t something Val was always ready to give, but it was

This short contemporary romance is a case of what you see in the blurb is what you get. It's short, it's sweet, and that's about it.

I think I wanted something a little *more* when I read this. There could have been more meat around Val's efforts to expand her photography or with Finn's troubled cousin. As it was, even the relationship difficulties - what with Finn's previous lack of commitment and Val's aversion to committing to anyone after being burned by her ex - could have been spun out a bi

A very quick, enjoyable read! There are a few editorial errors - "forth" instead of "fourth," an extra word here and there, and the wrong character's name in a couple of spots - but nothing too bad. Also, though it's set in Ireland, it has a very American feel. That doesn't really bother me, especially in a contemporary romance, but it might bother other readers, so be warned!

I would recommend this to anyone who likes simple, easy romance with believable characters. I

Speed dating?!? Well, not really…the main characters were dragged to the event by friends/family as chaperones/moral support. As it happens…these two find the other “ticking their boxes” but the chance was never acted upon until a chance meeting. Sparks fly again and they try not to do anything with it but…fate has other ideas. The dialogue is interesting and engrossing but the characters were a little flat to me. While I liked them well e

I enjoy the writing style of Sally Clements. She always offers a well plotted, sweet romance with an extremely satisfying happily ever after. This book in the Logan series covers all the bases. It's an evenly paced, character driven, well detailed story with clever dialogue, intriguing characters (both primary and secondary) and a beautifully detailed setting. Add a little chemistry between the hero and heroine and everything comes together well.

This was such a great book. It was not your typical romance novel. The Finn & Val met at a speed dating event that neither wanted to go to. They were both intrigued with the other. They ran into each other at a wedding and agreed to see each other again and the rest was history. The difference in this story was that Val was the one that was not interested in anything more than a fling and Finn was the one that wanted a commitment. It was an interesting twist and written really well. I loved it.

Through a speed dating event, Val met Finn. None of them wanted to go but they did. They liked each other but never got in touch. They met again in a wedding where Val was the photographer's assistant.
Will Val be able to forget about her ex-husband cheating on her and trust Finn enough to get into a relationship with him?
Will Finn be able to dissolve his harem and stick to just one woman?
I enjoyed a lot this sweet, funny

I am really enjoying this series and found this book an easy read. However I can't help feeling that it was written quickly and could have been better instead of focusing on lots of niceness.
Lots of parts of the book that could've gone into detail more (the problems with the cousin, the failed marriage, her business struggle/relationship with friend etc) would've been good. It also would've been good to bring back the previous series characters a bit more to find out how they were developing.

Three Minutes to Happiness was a fun little number. Val and Finn are dragged to a speed dating event, intrigue one another, but don't act on it. A chance meeting brings these two together and sparks start. The story was fun and held my interest. I'm a fan of Sally's work. If you're looking for a quick, enjoyable read, I recommend this one.

More lust, more romance and more Logans in part 2 of the series. Val and Finns ways to look at love I found a bit frustrating, but since that is obvious the meaning, it works well for the story. I like it especially that you get to know the Logan family a bit better. I wonder what part 3 will bring!
Thank you, Sally Clements, for sharing this!

Well, it sure is good but it's not extraordinary.

The characters are nice, especially the female protagonist. The male protagonist... well, I don't like the fact that he didn't call her but hey :D

The writing style is a bit faulty... don't know, it wasn't really exciting or anything, just plain.
