Sid Roth is an American author, actor, and Christian media figure. From one of his book bios: "Sid Roth has a passion for people to experience the power of God for the purpose of having intimacy with Him. He is a pioneer in the convergence of Jews and Christians in Messiah Jesus that brings about an explosion of God s power."
Received this because the “Messianic Vision” company, run by this author, targets people via direct mail based on their last names. Sid, don’t you have anything better to do?
In this short book Sid Roth, a Jewish man, gives a concise biblical history of Israel and his personal trust in Israel’s Messiah. This book is a very good resource for sharing the gospel with Jewish friends.
“To know God is everything. And not know God is nothing. If you do not know God before you die, you will not Know Him after you die.”
THE TESTIMONY OF A FAMOUS JEWISH CONVERT TO CHRISTIANITY
Sid Roth (born 1936) is a television and radio religious show host, author, Bible teacher, and scholar. He is also the author of 'They Thought for Themselves: Ten Amazing Jews,' 'The Incomplete Church: Unifying God's Children,' 'The Race To Save The World: Christians and Jews Must Unite to Form the New Man,' and many other books.
This 1994 book contains his testimony, about his conversion from Judaism to Christianity. Here are some quotations from the book:
"For as long as I could remember, I had been interested in everything to do with the new age, occult, astrology, fortune-telling, handwriting analysis, reincarnation, hypnosis, communicating with the dead, spiritualism, Ouija boards, and psychic powers. All held a fascination for me that was beyond a mere hobby or fad or interest. It was as if a supernatural force drew me..." (Pg. 80) "'Sid, (Jesus) brought the dead back to life---Oh, Sid, do you think---would He?' 'Keep praying, Shirley. Hold on, I'll come.' ... Kneeling beside the bed, my hands on Cheryl Ann's tiny chest, I prayed for a long time... None of them seemed shocked that I was asking God to raise the baby from the dead. Suddenly I heard a little sound that was not my own voice nor that of any of the other prayers... 'She's alive!' I shouted, and ran to the hallway to get the nurse who had just left the room. 'I'm sorry,' she said, returning to the room with me. 'Those bubbles (from the girl's nostrils) don't mean that she's alive. That often happens when someone has drowned. It's just carbon dioxide coming out of the lungs.' The nurse went out again. I prayed a little while longer, and gradually I felt the peace of God replace my anguished striving. I ... thanked God that He had remained in charge and that my little niece was safe in His arms." (Pg. 107-108) "This passage (Isaiah 53) CANNOT refer to the 'Messianic Age' because verse three would then have the people reject a utopia: ... Furthermore, Israel has never been a silent sufferer... And, who is 'my people' (v. 8) if 'he' refers to Israel?" (Pg. 148)
I LOVED this book! Sid is funny and very honest! If you have ever felt like your soul is SEARCHING for something more, this is a GREAT book for you! Sid is a great storyteller. He honestly tells you about his search and what he discovered. This is a quick read and very well written
En un inicio cuenta la historia de vida de Sith la cual es interesante, luego profundiza sobre el tema judío y mesiánico con muchos argumentos y al final deja un solo mensaje Aliyá.... es interesante, se requiere de dominio intermedio de la biblia....
