A pretty quick and to the point book on lessons in leadership. They all should be written this way with practical, relatable concepts that you can immediately implement. No crazy charts to interpret or pie in the sky unlimited budgets to consider. The book is a little dated for leadership books thes3 days and was pre Covid but still very applicable. Great book.
This wasn’t one of those books I could sit down and read in one sitting or over a day or two – I took it a chapter at a time, which allowed me to really digest the message the author was telling me. Throughout the book I could, fortunately or unfortunately depending upon the situation, relate to someone I had worked with in prior jobs – as well as my current job.
The author also includes a few tools and practical advice to help you out with your job, and if you are a manager or “just” a team member you will find some nuggets in here that will help you out in your daily life as well as in your career. At $9.99 for the Kindle version, you will receive multiples of that purchase price in mentoring and career-enhancing rewards.
I enjoyed reading this book. It gave some additional tools to assist me in my role at work and in life. I feel that this book can be read and re-read and get additional thing each time one reads it. I would recommend this to any supervisor/Manager.
