I got this because my coworker is Romanian and everyone is scared of her but I think she’s the funniest coworker I have and lately we have been sharing music with each other and now I can tell her I read Romanian poetry and it was okay

This collection has some very moving and profound poems. I especially enjoyed the ones about nature, love, and loss.

The writing is crude and dark which take some getting used to. I'm not sure I am in the right mindset to draw out what the authors are offering. I want to give it another read soon because I feel like I'm missing something. Most of the translations are very good though many of the poems feel more organic in the original language.
