I’ve got the best Daddy ever, and I can prove it to you!
Daddy John’s done nothing but protect me and spoil me since day one. Don’t believe me? No worries, I’m going to tell you our amaaaazing insta-love story. Can you say swoon?
After ten years together, we’re facing challenges we’ve never had before. His job makes us gobs of money, but he’s so unhappy. Well, he totally enjoys helping our friend set up his new handyman business, which is cute, but he can’t do that all day. Or can he?
And I haven’t told him, but…well, I’m bored at home all day by myself. My friends all have jobs and lives of their own, and I can only redecorate our penthouse so many times. I think I’d like to start a business of my own. Maybe. Ugh. I don’t know. Maybe I should ask all my friends from Toby’s crew…hmm…
No one’s ever loved me like John, and he’s still setting my world to rights, just like he’s always done. After all, he’s my very own Unwavering Daddy.
Enjoy the wrap up from the Lighter side of Takoda, where we catch up with all the boys and the Daddies who love them.
Sammi Cee was raised in a family of readers. Summer vacations consisted of a good book while sitting lakeside from as far back as she could remember. After growing up and having her own children, her appreciation of how the written word could transport you on an adventure, bring you to tears, or give you hope, took on a whole new meaning.
These days Sammi is watching her children develop into fine young ladies while doing the things she enjoys most: drinking coffee, eating chocolate, and writing her own stories.
I have loved the Takoda series and all of the related Daddy stories, so I was very excited to read Wanted Unwavering Daddy. Will and John have been a couple for over eight years and John is worried that his boy is wanting to change their lives in some way. I love how Will and John communicated with each other and how they supported each other through everything. They wanted the best for each other. It was so refreshing to see a mature loving relationship. I absolutely loved seeing all of the Daddies and boys again. I hope that we will get little snippets of their lives in the future. It is hard to say goodbye to this universe after reading and enjoying their stories. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next series.
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review
A beautiful way to close the lighter side of the Daddies of Takoda and to catch up more to see how they all rely on each other. Really enjoyed seeing the beginning of Will & John and how they have changed to adapt to their new life. They've always been a rock of a couple it was nice to see them have their own issues. The dynamics of these relationships are what keep bringing me back to read more of Sammi. They have a way of building on a found family to make it stronger with each addition. Always a pleasure to have a catch-up book to see how the lives of the men's have changed since their stories.
4,5 stars Wanted: Unwavering Daddy is the second book in the Honey-Do Daddies series by Sammi Cee. This is the story of John and Will. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, full of feels and very well written.
A great 5 star read! Perfect end to an adorable series. Truly had so much fun reading this novella! So on to the nitty-gritty... the dislikes, likes, and who I recommend this book for.
Dislikes:
None! I really mean that. If you have been following Sammi Cee's Daddy series then you know about the contagious fluff these books bring. This was such a short and to the point read that I can't think of a single complaint other than I want more... lol.. and I always wish there was a character reference at the beginning or the end of the book to keep track of all the characters. Nothing I can say about that actual book though.
Likes:
What in the fluff!!!?? I mean this book was just a 77 page bundle of joy. I was smiling from beginning to end. I have to preface this and say I am not even a daddy kink book lover. I literally fell upon Sammi Cee's series and got hooked but have tried other series and did not feel the same. So when I say I truly enjoyed this book, I really mean it. It was fun to see these two (Will and John) finally have their happy end as well as learning about how they got together. And I LOVED the wrap-up of all the other daddy and boy characters, because they all deserved happy and successful lives.
Who I recommend this for:
This book is certainly meant for those who have enjoyed the Daddy series on a whole. Because there is reference to so many of the past series characters, that might feel a bit overwhelming for some of the readers who haven't started any of the series yet. That being said most of the book surrounds Will and Johns beginning and happily ever after so it can also be read as a stand-alone. I recommend for those who like low-angst, high fluff LGBT (gay specific) love stories, with a love of daddy kink or a least no hate of it.
I enjoyed this book about Daddy John and Will, how they met and where they are now. I had read the first book in this series, Reaching Roland, and remembered a bit about some of the MANY boys mentioned in this book, so wasn’t too lost in terms of the many supporting characters.
As to Will and John, Will does sound like a bit of a handful, but a creative one with a winning personality, appreciative of his Daddy and caring about his happiness and welfare as much as Daddy John cares for his boy. As both reassess where their lives will go as they look forward to making changes, they are both on the path to increased satisfaction in the more professional parts of their lives, leading to even more enjoyment of their personal lives and relationship.
The bits about the other boys who were part of Toby’s Chat Crew, and the info they shared, had me interested enough to check out other stories in the Takoda universe and the Tap Tavern series, and I look forward to learning more about the boys in the chat and their different Daddy relationships.
Not a long read but an interesting one which piqued my interest and curiosity, leading to more reading adventures.
I received an ARC from the author, and this is my voluntary review.
Sammi Cee is a new-to-me author that I discovered recently. I have been reading Jacki James backlist and current books and she has a new one coming out with Cee later this month. I received Wanted: Unwavering Daddy as an ARC and now really want to go back and read Cee’s backlist as well. Wanted: Unwavering Daddy is a novella that features John and Will who have been in a 10-year relationship. I think a lot of the outside relationships would have made more sense if I knew the back stories of the other characters, but it didn’t stop me from loving this.
Will is the boy in this relationship and has recently been feeling stagnant and bored, not with the relationship, but with life in general. John is the Daddy and has recently been feeling the same in his own work as a venture capitalist. This novel explores adjusting your goals and dreams while still remaining strong together. You could really feel the love between these two and I loved the flashback to see how they met and became a couple. I would recommend this novella is you’re looking for a short, sweet, feel-good daddy romance.
Daddy John’s done nothing but protect Will and spoil him since day one. After ten years together, they're facing challenges they've ever had before. John's job makes them plenty of money, but he’s so unhappy. But he enjoyed helping their friend set up his new handyman business so maybe he can switch to doing that? Will is bored at home all day by himself. His friends all have jobs and lives of their own, and he can only redecorate their penthouse so many times. He thinks he’d like to start a business of his own
This a great catch up with Will and John looking back on how they met. There was also a catch up with the rest of the boys and what they were doing on the work side. A sweet story with all of the feels. Easy read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.
**4.5** I love Sammi's Daddy books. They bring such love and support, not just between the MC's, but also amongst the group of boys and daddies that has grown into a found family. This book is slightly different as we start with an established couple, Will and John. It's clear just how besotted they are with each other and their love and chemistry is just as strong as when they first met. We even get each man's version of when they met and became a couple, which is ridiculously quick but fits very well with how Sammi's romances go. Then it's about checking in with everyone and the couple moving forward and being happy with their lives, together and individually. Each man worries so much about the other's happiness, it's not just the Daddy's job! Another wonderful romance that is so easy to fall into and love. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Wanted: Unwavering Daddy is a novella set in the Takoda universe. Sadly, it's also the last. Sammi Cee's Daddies are some of my favorites. The story is about John and Will who have been in a 10-year relationship. Unwavering tells their story from both POV. It's sweet. Sizzling sexy. Great worldbuilding as their story unfolds. Toby's Crew and their Daddies make for wonderful, pushy, nosy secondaries. If this is the end, I'm going to have to go back and do another series read. Ms. Cee is already working on a new book/series with Jacki James. Can't wait to read it. At around 70+ pages, this is a quick read. So much fun. Such a great Daddy/boy relationship. Most stories have an epilog that's 6 months to a year after, it's lovely to see a long term pairing. I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.
This novella is a fun read from start to finish. This is the second book in the Honey-Do Daddies series. This is the story of John and Will. John is the daddy and Will is his boy. Together they have a wonderful, loving relationship. Will is getting restless as he doesn't know what to do with himself. He is also worried about his daddy working too long and hard at a job that he doesn't really enjoy. Together the two of them will figure out what path their future is going to take. I enjoyed reading both of their versions of the night they met. This is their story but it isn't their story alone. I loved the updates on all the other couples from the earlier books. It was a nice way to end things from Lighter side of Takoda.
I received a complementary advanced review copy from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
An established couple who will melt your heart with how in love their are. They are wonderful together and after years together it is clear how much they still care for each other. But it’s also clear that Will is contemplating something.
But don’t worry, Daddy’s there to help sort through it. Not that John doesn’t also need some loving nudges in his life.
I also love the community of Daddies and Boys they’ve surrounded themselves with, they are all so vibrant and caring.
What a wonderful way to wrap up our stay in Takoda. We not only get Will and John’s backstory - which is beyond adorable - but we get a round-the-table update from each of the boys on “what’s the latest” in each of their lives! I love it when an author cares enough about their readers to offer a proper close to a series. Sammi Cee knows it’s hard for us to leave Takoda and she gives it a beautiful tribute. I for one am anxious to next see the darker side of the city and she gives us a great tease at the end of this book! You owe it to yourself to read this final edition to the three-part series. It will remind you of how far we’ve come since first meeting the men who started the Outreach Center! And don’t be surprised if you’re left with the desire to go back and start a reread. 😊
In Wanted Unwavering Daddy, we hear the story of how John and Will met and their relationship developed, as told to the other Boys. This is intertwined with their current situation, contemplating their future directions (together).
We also got to revisit all the Boys and seeing how their lives are progressing with their Daddies. This was a short, sweer read and the perfect way to round out the lighter Takoda series, in preparation for the new direction - the darker side of Takoda (I can't wait).
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was the BEST way to wrap up all our sweet boys and their Daddies from the Tap... I really enjoyed the scene where all the boys are taking turns telling everyone the newest BIG thing in their lives.. It was like everything I needed and more!!! Hearing about all my sweet boys and how happy they are after reading all of their books, this was just PERFECT!! And I loved John and Will's story, these two are SWOON... Sammi did an amazing job of giving the readers a glimpse into the lives of all the boys we've grown to love!!! Thank you!!!
I was aware that this marked the conclusion of the Takoda Outreach Series, yet it still evokes a poignant emotional response. The narrative of Will and John's meeting was particularly captivating, exemplifying a wonderful daddy/boy relationship. Receiving updates on the boys' progress and the transformative impact on their lives is truly heartwarming. Now, it's time to bid farewell to this series and anticipate new stories and series featuring fresh characters.
I received an advance review copy from the author for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really enjoyed this short book with a look and a long term couple Will & John and how they met, fell into like “insta-love” and continue 8 years later. It was really great to see all of the Daddies & Boys from the other books in the Takoda world. How much fun it was to see how happy they are and what the time has brought each one of them. I will miss this light/fluffy world of Daddies & Boys but I am definitely looking forward to the darker side of Takoda. I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!
I didn't start my first veggie garden until I was almost 60 years old. Sometimes it takes some of us a tad bit longer to figure out what we want to be when we grow up!
John realizes that Will's love of making their home a place of love and comfort is a talent that Will sees only as a hobby and an act of love. But, with small moments of dissatisfaction rearing its head, John decides to step in and steer Will to find his place in the world of professional home decor.
It was good to have a quick visit with all the daddies and their boys, but it will be sad to tell them goodbye.
A cute story that centres Will, one of the boys who’s been around since the beginning of the “daddy wanted” signs of this series, and his Daddy, John! I’ve been curious about these since the start, and was happy they got a book, albeit a short one, since they’re already an established couple. I really enjoyed the flashbacks to when they met and the early days of their insta-love relationship 🥰 and it was fun to read about a couple eight years into their relationship ship in this series, as most of the books have been about the couples getting together!
Not only did we find out how John and Will met, but we caught up on all the boys and their Daddies in the Wanted series.
Will had to find out what he wanted to do with his time. He really liked interior design, but could he do it professionally. John was worried about his boy and didn't know how to help him until he opened up.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
John and Will story was sweet with a taste of reminiscence as it is revealed how those two met, the events that were important for them along time, and the way they address the couple of inconsistencies that arise along the way. It was fun and endearing to see old friends and to see a little glimpse into their accomplishments, to see their teasing and shenanigans, as well as the support they have for each other. I liked the story and I’m looking forward to see what happens next.
Wanted: Unwavering Daddy is the second book in the Honey-Do Daddies series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is John and Wills story and we finally get to hear how these two met. I loved these two so much as they are reminded how important communication is. It was great to see what the other boys from the Wanted Daddy series are up to. I loved this sweet quick read. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
This was a lovely little novella in the Takoda universe which featured John and Will. We also got a chance to catch up with what the other Daddy/boy couples were up to. This novella could have benefited from another good proofreading, but it was a lovely little conclusion to the series. That being said, I think that I’m personally over Daddy/boy content now, so I’m glad that the series has satisfactorily concluded.
If you’ve followed the storyline of the Takoda community it’s super cool to see the Daddy and Boy family all together. While this novella is centered around John and Will and their unchanging love for each other you also get to see their commitment and love for their found family.
Sammi had built a diverse, loving and inclusive Daddy/Boy family through community with the Takoda series’ that I’ll just keep reading over and over.
I enjoyed reading this well done and interesting story. This is my first book from this author and I loved it. All the characters are real and alive. I loved both Will and John and how their relationship is evolving, just like in real life. They are really working hard for each other. There are some hot sexy scenes, which fit just right into the storyline. I received an advanced reader copy and am leaving an honest review. This is a sexy sweet cute well written story.
This was the perfect send off for the end (for now) of the sweeter side of Takoda. John and Will were adorable including when they were both oblivious to what they needed and wanted but hyper aware of what each other needed and wanted. I loved the little peek into how they met and seeing just how much in love they were with each other 8 years later. I’m sad to see the sweeter stories end for a while but I’m super excited for seeing some of the grittier stories from Takoda!
It was fine but I didn't remember all the other couples so I'm sure die-hard fans of the series appreciate it more. Also lots of flashbacks as they tell how they met and their history. And they need to communicate more. For a Daddy, John saw all these clues about what was upsetting his boy and he just waited for him to raise it. It's your job to lead, my dude. At least that's how I understand it. So a super quick read.
This was crazy sweet. I love a romance that follows an established couple and Will and John were a delight. This was a lovely quick read and I always love spending time in this world. Plus, it was amazing getting an update on all the boys and their Daddies. I loved how much John and Will are focused on what their partner needs, there’s ton of kindness in this book- I really loved it.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
We’ve heard so much about John and Will through out all the other books but never got their story so I’m so glad Sammi gave us their story, it was the perfect way to say goodbye to the sweetness of it all. John and Will have always been amazing every time we got a glimpse of them but seeing them in action was really amazing and beautiful. I can’t wait to see what Sammi has next, hopefully this won’t be the last we see of these guys. 😀❤️
This little novella is all about how John and Will met and fell for each other. John is the perfect and Will loves him madly. It also is a wrap up to the series with all the Daddies and Boys of Takoda and their goings on. Short and sweet with HEAs. I received a copy of this novella and this is my voluntary opinion.
I absolutely loved this story. I love this world so much. This was a fantastic story and I loved getting to see what everyone has gotten up to. It was so nice to see all the familiar faces and to see everyone come together. This is a fantastic series that is definitely on my reread list.
