Trace Kogan will go to any length to protect those who need protecting. That is the business he is in; the business his father, Casper Kogan, started with Bryce Trexler more than thirty-five years ago. Trace spends day and night eliminating threats to clients, so when the danger hits too close to home, he won’t let anything come between him and the woman who desperately needs his help.

His fear… the physical reaction he has to Marissa may pose a bigger danger than the ghost that they find themselves up against.

Marissa Trexler has spent the last twelve months of her life in hiding, tucked away in one safe house after another for her own protection. The threat to her is real even if the reason is still unknown. Strangely, whoever is after her seems to find her no matter where she goes, leading her family to believe it’s an inside job.

So when the decision is made that Trace will provide personal protection, she can’t say no, even if being close to him adds another level of danger… and this one is to her heart.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nicole Edwards spends her days stringing words together to make complete sentences. Sometimes not. Her best friend is coffee, and she has a love/hate relationship with sarcasm. She’s been accused of having a filthy imagination, which she admits is true.

Nicole lives in the suburbs of Austin, Texas. She proudly claims one husband, three grown children, and two bosses (better known as the dogs). When she isn’t writing, watching football or hockey, or keeping her bosses happy, you can probably find her with a book in hand.

I have loved every Nicole Edwards book I've read, so I'm not sure what happened with this one.

I enjoyed the premise and the characters, but there is only so many times you need to mention that the patriarchs have been best friends for decades, or how Marissa and Trace grew up together and both secretly liked one another. We as readers understood that the first time it was mentioned. By the time it was explained, once again in the final quarter of the book, I started skimming.

I'll still read the second book when it comes out, but please edit better for unnecessary descriptions.

Wait for Morning was such a wonderful start to a new series. Ms Edwards introduces readers to not one but two families… well two then three families. You see Ms Edwards’ magically creates a world that sucks the reader in, first reader is introduced to members of the Kogan and Trexler families in true heart pounded suspense fashion and then as the story for this romantic suspense continue the plot weaves in the Adorite family.

Ok back to the story, Wait for Morning is the story of Trace Kogan and Marissa Trexler. These two grew up together as their fathers are best friends and the founders of Sniper 1 Security.
The connection that Trace and Marissa have is a long time in the making and Ms Edwards does a wonderful job allowing the reader to feel why now, why now is the time they both give into the attraction. Oh when these two do connect in typical Nicole Edwards fashion it is burn up your kindle hot! I also want to add that the I love you moment in this one was so powerful. And the wonderful about this being a family saga is we get to continue to see Trace and Marissa as the series moves forward.

The suspense part of this plot was well done; though it is not a genre I read often I throughly enjoy this one and how suspense wove into the romance and development of this family saga. Because yes so many of these families become a part of the story.

Ms Edwards’ does an amazing job crafting so many unique characters, sprinkling in just enough about them that it will having you wanting to know all about each of them. I for one can’t wait to read about Clay, well and Hunter and oh Ryan and Z there is so something that!
As you can well while I was reading this book I was so torn as to which member of this cast I wanted to read next that was until the epilogue and then it was clear I wanted Max and Courtney’s story like yesterday!
I was thrilled when Ms Edwards announced their story Beautifully Brutal would be book 1 in a new series titled Southern Boys Mafia.
After you are finished with this book you are going to want to 1-click Beautifully Brutal book 1 Southern Boys Mafia series http://amzn.to/1P5VLwp

Thank you Ms Edwards for now not only 1 series to add to my to read list but two.

With the Alluring Indulgence series nearing its end (*sob*), I really needed a new Nicole Edwards saga to get my motor running and keep me up to late (or early, depending on how you look at it) reading. And I think Sniper 1 Security is just the ticket...

Despite the best efforts of Sniper 1, the security company owned by her father and his best friend, and run by their respective families, Marissa Trexler is in grave danger. After 12 months of hiding her and moving her from location to location, they're no closer to finding the man determined to get to Marissa, or why he wants her.

When Trace Kogan steps in to provide her protection -- not trusting her brothers or his own with her safety -- their longtime attraction burns brighter than ever, and suddenly the danger isn't just from the man that wants to get his hands on Marissa, but also from Trace...the man who can't keep his hands off her.

Whew. It may have taken more time than I would have expected to get these two between the sheets but when they did...HOT. My Kindle practically burned me. And the best part? The lead-up, the first half of the book, was an awesome ride.

I really enjoyed this mystery, which had me second-guessing my early assumptions, and wondering where it was going and, occasionally, when it was going to get there. I found some of the inner musings of these characters a touch repetitive, not distractingly so, but enough to make me want to hurry them along a little. I was simply eager to find out who was in on the plot to get to Marissa, and for she and Trace to figure themselves out, because I was quite taken with them. Particularly Trace, who was Alpha-strong, demanding and protective. Marissa, on the other hand, frustrated me at times, but never so much as to be a complete turn-off. I found myself questioning her decisions, while at the same time wishing she'd make her move...

As the start of a new series, Ms. Edwards did an excellent job of setting up for the long-term here. There are several secondary characters I am already chomping at the bit to get stories for, especially RT and Z, and that is one of the things I love most about this author. She gives good story, yet still manages to plant the seed for upcoming books without it overtaking or overshadowing the main characters. And as such, I can't wait to see where this series goes in the future. ~ Beth, 4 stars

I hate to give a 2-star rating to a Nicole Edwards book but it just missed the mark for me. The heroine in this book was super-annoying and I could not feel the connection between the two main characters. I still plan on reading the upcoming books in this series since it is Nicole Edwards. Hopefully I will enjoy those better than I did this one.

OMG, I loved this book. It had me guessing the whole way through as to who was after Marissa.
I loved the whole Trexler and Kogan families and loved how Nicole Edwards gave you snippets into the other characters, setting things up for future books. I finished the book and wanted, no, needed to see what happened with Courtney, Z, Ryan, Conner, Hunter, Clay and everyone else.
Really looking forward to more from this series.

So I took a couple of days to sit on my thoughts. I adore Nicole Edwards and have NEVER read one of her books that I didn't love, until lately. Wait for Morning just didn't live up to her usual superb writing. In fact, it was a struggle to read. The story premise is great and I can see where the series would be intriguing. I just had a really hard time with the repetitiveness. I don't know how many times we had to read about how the company was formed. We got multiple retellings of pretty much anything that was historic to the book, including how hard these 2 fought their attraction...

I will probably continue with the series, only because I am intrigued by the stories of the remaining siblings. Not to mention the sex is, as always, hot. That is one thing that didn't disappoint. I am hoping that as the author gets more comfortable writing romantic suspense, the remaining books will improve.

OMG, I loved this. I could not put it down. From the moment that I started reading I was hooked and proceeded to carry this book around everywhere so I could read every chance I could. The characters are amazing and the story will keep you glued to the book until you finish. This must be on your list of books to read, no doubt about it.

This is an absolutely amazing book. I love suspense/romance books and this has got to be one of the best I have ever read. From page one the story pulls you in and does not let you go until the very end. Trace and Marrisa's story is a tug a war of who will give in first to their emotions. Their attraction to each other is felt through out the story.

The twists and turns with their story and that of the other characters along the way leave you wondering what will happen next.

The hardest part for me to read was the Epilogue. Once I read the epilogue I couldn't decide who's book I was dying to read next. Is there anyway to release the next 3 books all at one time, right now, I really need and want to read them now!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

This a must read book for 2015.

I have absolutely loved all of Nicole's books and they've all had 5☆ from me. However, I didn't love this first book in the new series as much. I found it very slow going and quite repetitive although I liked the characters and the storyline. There was no sex until after 50% of the way through so it really felt like it could've been condensed a bit. It is certainly not as good as the AI, CD, DHR or any other of her books. I will give the second book a try when it's released and hope that I won't be disappointed. I still love Nicole Edwards, she is my favourite author and it wasn't a bad book at all, I just didn't love it like the others.

I was disappointed. I constantly check to see when she's starting or finishing a book cause they are so good. The sniper 1 series has been a work in progress for what seems like forever, and it's finally here but it didn't get good till the very end. Until the last 3 chapters I just felt it was a constant repeat of recaps on who was who and how the families are connected, how the business started. Then it was constant flash backs or recaps that was already explained with what has or was going on with the case. Who needs the family break down at the beginning when the first half of the book basically does that for you. Still a big fan of Nicole's though!

I finished reading this book. Once I started I couldn't put it down, the character development in the story along with the suspense of what was going to happen next kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to dive into book 2 of this series to learn more about this group of Sniper 1 Security people.

Probably 2.5 stars. Found it a little bit slow moving. I also didn't really feel a connection between the two main characters or feel it really develop.

Marissa and Trace's story ended up with the curse that sometimes accompanies 1st books in a series. There was a lot of time preparing the readers for the books to come, and not enough time spent making the reader have any appreciation for Marissa and Trace together.

I didn't feel the connection, but I was told (several times I might add) that there was connection that they both were denying and have been for years.

I left this book unfulfilled for the most part, because there was a lot of repetition and I couldn't figure out 1) why Marrissa wouldn't confide in her family who are in a security business so it is clearly there job to protect people, and 2) how is this business thriving with the lack of communication between the people who work at this company (who also happen to be family).

**JOSIE'S REVIEW**

I am a huge fan of Nicole Edwards. I have read both the Alluring Indulgence and Club Destiny series and I can’t get enough of this author. When I read that she was coming out with a new series I was excited. Ms. Edwards is an exceptional writer and I admit I was curious to see where she would take this new series. Boy did she not disappoint. This new series is different from her previous novels but the author does not miss a beat. Wait for Morning starts off with excitement, danger and a heck of a chase. This is told through alternating POV’s that I loved. The story is intriguing, captivating and had me biting my nails on every page.

Marissa Trexler’s father and best friend are owners of Sniper 1 Security. It’s a family run business with plenty of hot alpha males. Marissa’s life is danger and for the last year this family has had do everything to keep her safe by moving her around from secret location to secret location. Someone is determined to get to Marissa. Marissa’s character is not what I expected at all. She is not a weak female lead. She is a fighter. She’s not afraid to pick up a gun if needed and she will not back down.

Trace Kogan has known Marissa his entire life. When Trace realizes he can’t trust their employees or her brothers to keep her safe he assigns himself protect her. Trace has always been attracted to Marissa but has stood off on the sides and not done anything about it. The more danger and time he spends with Marissa the more he wants to claim her, own her and possess her. Trace is a total alpha male and dominant in all things, not only in her protection but also in the bedroom.

The author did an amazing job with this book. I loved how the author did not focus solely on the sexual aspect between the main characters. There was a story and it was a very well developed plot that has some dangerous chase scenes, mystery and of course an inside rat. I enjoyed reading and seeing Trace and Marissa work their way into a relationship while trying to stay alive. I found myself trying to piece the clues together to solve this case. The family and friends interactions between the Trexler’s and Kogan’s was freshening. It was easy going and natural. I got caught up in their lives and couldn’t get enough off them. We get a hint of who the future characters in the upcoming series will be. This is a great start to an interesting and intriguing series. I will tell you that after reading this first book, this is going to be one hot, dangerous and captivating series. I CAN TELL THESE MEN ARE GOING TO BURN UP THE PAGES.

I have read everyone of Nicole Edwards books. When I found out that she had a new series coming out I was, to say the least, super excited! I love her writing, I think she is a brilliant writer.
The description of this book did not do it justice. This book was so much more than that. This is an exceptional start to a new series, this book introduces so many characters! At first there is a family time line, a family tree I guess of the three families included in this series. I was little intimidated by this at first. All I kept thinking was, "how am I ever going to keep all these people straight?" But don't worry if you feel this way in the beginning too, Nicole keeps it all going so there is no thought required!
It took quite awhile at first for Trace and Marissa's relationship to get stared....but I think this was due to the fact that Nicole was trying to let us get to know all the families and all the people who work for Sniper 1.
I loved this book! I am looking forward to the next one....even though I don't have a clue who it will be about!! She kinda leaves us guessing on that one! It could be any of the three couples!! I hope it's not a long wait, but if it is, I know it will be worth every minute!!

As all of Nicole's stories that I've read this one is no different: brilliant, magnificent and totally consuming. Can't wait to get my hands on Beautifully Brutal and then on the 2nd book in this series Never Say Never. When I want to read romantic suspense, this is the author I pick. Every. Time. And every time it happens: I fall in love with the main character. An awesome start of the new series!

It took awhile to get into this book...50%. I think that this was a lot of background and set up for a series of books. Unfortunately that made it hard to relate to the h and H. The second half picked up the pace a bit and was quite good. At the end I was ready to read about other members in the family...so the slow set up in the first 1/2 did its job!

This is a great start to a new series. Ties in with the Walker brothers and the new mafia series as well. Dominant hero but I'm not going to call this BDSM. Also lots of bikes but I can't call it MC either because there is no MC involved and their bikes are not H-D but lots of imports.

Nicole Edwards surely knows how to entwine romance, hot sex, and thrilling suspense. A spinoff the Walker Brothers series, the Sniper 1 Security series starts off with the love story of Marissa and Trace. If you read Brendon, you'll recognize RT and Z, both security experts that helped the last single Walker brother to protect his woman. Trace Kogan is another such security expert. As loyal and competent as they come, Trace takes on the responsibility of keeping Marissa Trexler safe. Trace and Marissa have known each other all their lives. Trace's best friend happens to be her older brother, and their fathers have been friends and business partners for over 35 years. When an unknown enemy sets his sights on killing Marissa, Sniper 1 Security takes on her protection. But after one successful kidnapping attempt and the explosion of her latest safehouse happen, Trace knows he is the only one who can keep her safe. She is too important to him for Trace to risk losing her forever. Marissa has been in love with Trace since she was 14 years old. However, the man did his infuriating best to keep her at arms' length. At least he did until danger closed in on her and he decided to become her shadow. The proximity to Marissa makes it impossible for Trace to deny the passion that has always existed between them. As emotions rise and danger surrounds them, will they give in to their feelings or will Marissa remain as just another mission for Trace? A thoroughly enjoyable read, with two families full of addictive characters, super sexy moments, plenty of action and suspense.

What a read from Nicole Edwards. I have to admit that there are several older books by this author that I have not read, so getting to read one of her older novels just reminds me why I love this author so very much. Ms. Edwards knows how to create a story and build an entire world so that you, as the reader, feel like you are right there in the story experiencing every little moment with each of the characters. Another unique quality of her writing is that the story has multiple points of view so we get to know multiple characters, and know the story from many different angles as we read and are drawn into her enticing world.

Wait For Morning is the first book in the Sniper 1 Security series and it is a fast-paced read about Marissa Trexler and Trace Kogan. These two are the children of the Sniper 1 Security founders and have grown up together, so we get the friends-to-lovers, and a little unrequited love story from beginning to end, even when they both deny their feelings. But most of all we have a romantic suspense story since Marissa's life is in danger and Trace has stepped up to be the one to guard her until the threat is gone. And in true Nicole Edwards fashion, we also have the so very sexy times that this author is known for and delivers so well in her writing. So be ready for this romantic suspense and very sexy story to keep you enthralled from beginning to end.

Let me start with how much I enjoy Nicole’s work.
In this new instalment series of Sniper 1 Security, there was so much going on. The families - The Kogans, The Trexlers, being the main characters plus younger bro and family and let’s not forget - trusted member Z. There were quite a number of persons in this book, it almost felt overwhelming.
Let’s not take away from the storyline though. Trace Kogan and Marissa Trexler who has been in safe houses for a year, and yes plural due to many mishaps. Trace takes it upon himself to protect her and also with all members try to find the ghost who has been eluding them for a year. Said ghost wants Marisa gone.
There is no spoiling on my part, as always, author has given description on storyline and I don’t appreciate knowing what happens and conclusion of story.
I give this book 4 stars, though good just had too much going on. Maybe less characters, as they could also be introduced in next instalment. As always though, still love how characters bounce from one series to another. Enjoy knowing prior characters haven’t been forgotten.

GOOD BUT...

I wanted to give this 3 1/2 stars but it isn't an option so I'm going with a 3. The premise of the story was a good one but it just didn't flow smoothly for me and I found myself losing interest by one third of the story. There was way too much repeating the same information too often. However, I liked the main characters, Marissa and Trace. Although in their late 20's, they have held off on admitting they have loved each other since their teens. Well at least Marissa has loved Trace since she was 14. Trace...not sure but he definitely loves her now!

While the story never gets to a heart thumping intensity, it does heat up in the bedroom. I really do love this author but think she should concentrate on her awesome romance writing.

Great start and loved the intro to all of the new characters, but OMG we know they have always loved one another!! That's the only reason this book didn't get 5 stars from me. Loved the plot and who done it idea. But I skimmed a lot because it was the same thing over and over...Marissa had loved Trace...Trace had feelings for Marissa...Bryce and Casper were best friends who started Sniper 1. Over and over. Move forward with them acknowledging their feelings to each other already. The last quarter of the book was where I picked back up reading. Definitely looking forward to future books for sure!

I truly am in awe of how Nicole can keep coming up with such amazing stories! There are so many characters you meet in this first book that I am hoping there will be a book in the series for each of them. We are introduced to Trace Kogan and Marissa Trexler. The story is about someone threatening Marissa, the daughter of one the owners of Sniper Security. Trace, the son of the second owner of Sniper Security, has made it his duty to protect her. Now, if only he can protect her from himself. Fantastic first book in their series. Cannot wait for more.
