It takes a while to know who you really are. And when you lose your way, sometimes it’s hard to find it again.

Charlie Hudson was on the verge of figuring that out when her dad—the only parent and friend she ever had—died suddenly. She was barely 18, and she was alone. So she went for easy—playing life safe, running away from a home that harbored nothing but bad memories an

Confession time, I stayed up until 4 this morning to finish this dang book! I can't even remember the last itme I did that and this isn't my typical read at all....so yeah. Take from that what you will. :P

Full review to come!

Edited to add review:
I need to admit, right out front, that normally, I'm not one to read books that have anything to do about cheating. I loathe them on principle alone but every now and then, one will come along that will completely capture my attention, and not only hold

*sigh* Oh Blindness...

That cover is HOT, right? It's not just me? Tan body. Tattooed arms. Black and silver DC shirt. Hat on. Can't see his eyes. Lips slightly parted. Earring. Scruffy day old beard. HOT!

I had such high hopes for this book--the cover being the main reason. But also, I loved the tutoring and ex-motocross star concepts. But sadly I was let down. The further I read into this book the more frustrated I got. I was huffing and puffing, and highlighting and making notes. If any of my f

This is one of my favorite covers. But the story wasn't so much....

Charlie was dumped off by her junkie mom to live with her cop dad when she was 7. It wasn't until she was 17 that he actually became active in her life. By 18 he was dead and Charlie was left alone. Leaving home to go to college she meets and dates Trevor. He comes from an affluent dad and aspires to be a lawyer. Its really weird how she moves in with Trevor when she really didn't want to, and the kicker is he lives with his pare

“You found me.”

Charlie was lost when her father died. He was her dad and best friend. She picked herself up and went to college where she attempted to find out who she was. Along the way, she met Trevor. He was every mother’s dream son-in-law. Charlie’s relationship with Trevor seemed picture perfect. Or at least Charlie believed this until she met Cody.

Cody was Trevor’s polar opposite. But what drew Charlie to him was the state of ease she felt whenever she was with him. Cody made it easy to

I'm making it a point to go back and read all the Ginger Scott books I've somehow missed over the years and I'm kicking myself hard for letting Blindness sit on my kindle untouched for so long. I really, really, really loved this book.

Thoughtless by SC Stephens was one of the first indie romances I ever read and I loved it so much. That level of heartbreak and angst and wrongness and romance in that story is something I hope to find every time I open a book. I can remember exactly how I felt wh

WAS NOT KEEN ON THE HEROINE

Charlie Hudson was dumped on her fathers doorstep at age 7 by her junkie mother. Her father fed and clothed her, but other than that he pretty much ignored her. That all changed once she became 17, when something happened to Charlie that got his attention. But no sooner had they started to build a relationship then he died.

Charlie is at college her boyfriend Trevor is hoping to be a high flying lawyer. Then Charlie meets Cody ex-motor ross rider who has been in an acci

Really good NA, love triangle read!
I did have to remind myself a few times that these people are young (cause I'm 39, and clearly that's old, lol.) It was very emotional, lots of back-and-forth, push-and-pull. I love that angst!
Trish
I was not sure I would enjoy the book since there is a love triangle, cheating, and a girl that seems to leap before she looks. But I did, I really enjoyed the book. This is your typical NA book, it is filled with angst, torment, painful choices, painful past events, complications, and lovely connections.

Charlie is working toward making her life turn out to be less lonely, less emotionally draining, and to have a soft place to fall. She makes a number of choices in her life that seem to be on t

The gist: Charlie (Charlotte) has been dating Trevor for about a year. She goes to tutoring and has an instant connection with her tutor, Cody. When her roommate decides to move in with her boyfriend suddenly, Charlie needs to find a new residence ASAP. She moves in with Trevor and immediately realizes Cody is Trevor's stepbrother and there is A TON of animosity between the two guys. Then Trevor gets a job in DC and moves, but C

Four, Can I Get A Cody Carmichael Please, Stars?

Oh where do I to start. Well, I'll start with Charlotte (Charlie). I could relate to her in some ways so it was easy to understand her decision making even if it drove me nuts from time to time. At the very young age of 7 she was abandoned by her mother, who was an addict, and from that point on was raised by her clueless father, who didn't even know about Charlie, until tragedy struck. It wasn't until she was in high school, though, that a true re

(I really can't decide)

Sometimes I want to read something I know is going to piss me off. Something that breaks all my no-no rules. Like ALL of them. I'm not saying I'm a masochist, but occasionally my dark little soul wants the pain ;) Sometimes feeling emotional pain caused by the read is so much better than a read full of emotional pain.

That is my crack, Ladies.

Once a month I want a read that will make me HATE a fictional character :) I have my limits...but triangle shit is m

God damn...!! In love with the book.. Cody and Charlie were just... perfect..!! n Trevor was wonderful.. Though, I can't help but feel bad for him... thus, the four stars.. I don't know but I feel like he needed some closure but he already kind of got one.. so I guess I was just wishing something happy for him too...

Anyways, coming back to the main characters.. they are good together like seriously.. Cody is that guy who lives on the edge but is still as close to soft guy dreaming of keeping his

I am on a complete book high after I finished this book. The word beautiful doesn't even begin to describe it. I loved every single moment.

Blindness is easily one of my favorites of 2014.

Charlie Hudson was born to a junkie mother, and was dropped of at her father's (Mac) house at the age of 7. Her mother never looked back. Charlie's dad became her best friend as she got older, when suddenly she lost in. In losing him, she also lost herself. Cod

Stories about cheating have to tread a very fine line. It's always easier when a girl is obviously with the *wrong guy* and he's a douche. Or abusive. But when he's a decent guy who obviously loves her a lot, then bringing Mr. Love-At-First-Sight into the mix is tricky - though it is better story fodder. For me, Ginger Scott went on the wrong side of the line a few too many times in Blindness.

As a character, our heroine Charlie, never quite made it off the page for me. Or rather, we get what we

First, this was a huge surprise for me since I glanced over the synopsis before I started this book and had no idea what the theme was to this story. The theme (love triangle) is usually not my favorite, but this book was done so well that the love triangle did not bother me at all. The author did an amazing job writing the story that understood what was going on in the characters’ lives.
Charlie thought she had everything she ever wanted until she went to a study group and met Cody Carmichael.

This is one of those reads that will have you sucked in by the end of the first chapter. Even the cover of the book sucks you in right away. I will say those that say “don’t judge a book by its cover”…go ahead and judge away because it is as good as the cover!

Charlotte or Charlie, as her dad called her, is one of those characters that are hard to explain. She is so much all wrapped up into one person. She is flawed, confusing, loving, broken, and a hint of a codependent but by contrast, she is a

I’m a huge fan of Ginger’s Waiting on the Sidelines series, which is more a Mature YA, and when I heard Ginger was venturing into the New Adult genre writing Blindness I was intrigued to see how it would be pulled of, and of course I was excited to start a new journey with Ginger’s new characters.

I was not let down, I was not disappointed, as always Ginger flawlessly enraptured me with her writing and characters. I felt part of the story, I was so immersed in it that I could feel what

I have mixed feelings about this one. It started out so good and I was really excited about the writing. This held true until about the 60% mark.

Charlie was a fairly selfish, immature protagonist, and I could easily see why some wouldn't like her, but I felt Ginger Scott wrote this 21-year old realistically. She acted the way many insecure young women do - she was judgmental and downright catty at times. I was invested in finding out how she would resolve her dilemma of falling for her boyfrien

Blindness is a New Adult book that packs a heavy emotional punch. It doesn’t humour you with perfect characters instead it makes you fall for characters that are realistically flawed.

First Line of Blindness:

“People are thoughtless.”

My Thoughts on Blindness:

What I loved about this book was that I kept changing my mind about how I felt about the characters. I would see a snippet of their character and make a rash judgement. However later, I would see another side to their personality and I was fli

I really fell in love with this story, it mad me happy, sad, mad, and it mad me cry.

Charlie hasn't had it easy her mother was a druggy and her father didn't know she even existed, until the day she arrived on his door step. She is just a little girl and her father is a cop he doesn't know the first thing about raising a child. He tries in his own way, but it isn't very good. Then a situation provides itself and it changes their relationship. He finally figures out how to be a father and from the

What a redeeming Hero. LOVED Cody, but I didn’t like Charlie all that much. ~~Spoilers ahead~~

This story is straight up OK for me. I don’t really mean that in a bad way I liked it and I think others might like it too but there were things that I just didn’t understand or didn’t mesh well together. At points the heroine tried to be strong or act strong but I found her to be rather childish and clueless through out the entire book. She was sort of a train wreck in my opinion.

Wow.. I am sorta speechless after reading this book. I was drawn in from the first chapter.

Charlotte or "Charlie" is on her own in college just trying to make a life for herself. Having been dropped off on her dads porch at age 7 by her druggy mom left her to grow up with a dad who she didn't really know. Not until a boy hurt her.. then her dad woke up and became a dad fully invested in every part of her life. 1 year, she had one year of her dads affection and then he was gone. Finding love was

I would have normally loved a story like Blindness, but that isn't the case here. I’ve read somewhat similar books that involve cheating and loved them, so that's not my issue. This book just lacked in way too many departments for me to enjoy it.

Charlie was just plain annoying. It’s funny, because she mentions how she’s acting like a child on numerous occasions, and it’s true. She reminded me more of a dramatic 13-year-old instead of the 21-year-old she is. And the crying … lordy, can she do any

I loved Scott's 'Waiting on the Sidelines' and 'Going Long', those stories stayed with me and I enjoyed the growth of the characters throughout the story. When I pick up 'Blindness', I expected the same sweeping, enveloping writing that I loved in Scott's previous books. Sad to say that I was disappointed.

Charlie comes off as indecisive and immature. She is in love in with Trevor, until she isn't and falls for his step-brother Cody. What I did not like about t

Some decisions are easier than others. Coffee or tea? Coffee, for sure. Red or white wine? Red please. Which Girl Scout cookie? Thin Mints all the way. See? Easy. Some decisions are a bit harder.....

Charlotte had a lot of decisions made for her. Like when her mom dropped her off with her dad when she was seven. And then disappeared. Like when the guy shot her dad in the 7/11. That decision was out of her hands. Now she is in a good place. She is in architecture school, has a

“Blindness” is the third book by Ginger Scott. I am a tremendous fan of her first two books, “Waiting on the Sidelines” and “Going Long.” I didn’t think I could love the new book (which is not about Reed and Nolan) as much as I loved her first two books. I was wrong. First of all, I love the cover. Second of all, I was completely captivated with the story from the very beginning and finished the book in two days.

Ginger Scott is a very talented author. Her characters are so real and so relatable
