You Know You've Reached Middle Age If...

Rate this book
Every 18 seconds another Baby Boomer turns 50 and confronts that dreaded middle age. But the "Me Generation" seems to be defining middle age based on a projected life span of 120 years. In other words, they're in denial, big time.

This lighthearted book will clear up any confusion readers might have about whether they're still young at heart, or if they're being dragged kicking and screaming over the threshold of middle age.

It's indisputable that you've reached middle age if . . .

You Know You've Reached Middle Age If . . . also includes bonus sections like "What Others Say About Middle Age" (with witty celebrity quotes) and "There's Still Hope," listing notable late bloomers and their accomplishments. A couple of these inspiring Daniel Defoe wrote Robinson Crusoe at 59, and at 77 John Glenn orbited the Earth in a space shuttle. This charming and clever look at the mature lifestyle will gently break the news to readers that they're middle aged, and humorously assure them that that's okay.

First off, I'm not a big fan of comedy books but books like this that can be read in installments work just fine.

This book had a lot of smile material in it. Moments of recognition and a bit of chagrin.

But most of all you know you've reached middle age if... you recall reading a book like this in the 80's but just can't quite recall the title.

Course, If you're a friend of Dorothy, middle age starts in the late 20's no? https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Another oldie but goody. Mention of Dan Quayle dates this book so I checked. Published 1999..okay. Title is misleading unless 70 is the new middle age. It used to be 40-50 was middle aged but that no longer applies. At this date, this book suits those in their 70's and boy does it resonate. I could put a check mark beside almost every single line in this book. Love it again.
