Rose Tinted is a perfect sequel to Sugar Coated. It was just as suspenseful, unique, and a total stand out YA book. If you like science fiction, dystopian, adventure, and the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield, you will love this series.
The first thing I noticed with Rose Tinted is the length. It is a bit shorter than it's prequel, so I expected that the book wouldn't take long to read. However, it took me almost a week. I couldn't tear my eyes away from it, as it was very suspenseful. The endi ...more

The cliffhanger at the end of Sugar Coated was rather major and it had me dying to read the next installment in the series. Sadly, my schedule is packed, so it took me more time than I would have liked to read Rose Tinted. But I did! Eventually. And that feeling of angst I had at the end of Sugar Coated? It perpetuated itself.
You will not believe the revelations of Rose Tinted! You won't. I kept saying "no" over and over when reading. And thi ...more

THIS BOOK!!! I'm so overwhelmed by the awesome in ROSE TINTED that I have two versions for this review, the first is:
Go read this now! Thank me later. You're welcome.
The second involves actual details once I had a second to compose all of my excitement lol:
I normally feel pretty intrepid with second books in dystopian trilogies, they always fall a bit short from the first installment for me. However Rose Tinted does a beautiful job with jumping right back into the story, and staying fast paced a ...more

This book was read before my Brain Tumor surgery in August 2014. I should have posted a review before surgery, but life was hectic.
I love Shannen Crane Camp’s books! They are always so much fun to read. See a list of some of her other books at the bottom of this review post. Check them ALL out! Rose Tinted is book two in the series so be sure to read Sugar Coated first.

This book.. Oh man! I can't wait for the last one to come out. Like really can't wait.
Read it, you won't regret it. I feel into the story on the first page, just like in Sugar Coated. I love everything about this book, except for the fact I have to wait for the final one to come out! ...more

I love this trilogy. I put off reading it as long as I could. I read enough to see Jonah's fate then I paused reading it so it wouldn't feel so long before the third book comes out. I'm hoping Shannen gets it out soon! I can't wait for the next book to see where Eris takes Brynn. This book hooked me more than the first. I felt like I couldn't wait to see what happens next with every page! Loved it! (and if Shannen reads this....I love the name Devey in your book!!!!! I love your personal touches

This is the second book in the series. Things are a lot more complicated in this book than the first and there are some big surprises that I didn't see coming and wonder even now what they mean. I don't like how invincible the angles are. There needs to be some weaknesses or everything seems impossible and there is no hope. At this point I see no way they can win against them, but surely they will find a way. The ending was very disturbing and strange. It will be interesting to see what happens

The second book in the Sugar Coated series does not disappoint. Picking up where the first left off, we join Brynn and her friends as they ally with outsiders to fight the danger that keeps getting closer and closer. With a much more science-fiction feel, it's a roller coaster ride with technologies, new worlds and characters and unspeakable truths. I devoured this within two days, and I'm eagerly awaiting the final book!
