I absolutely loved this book! I know some German, but my daughter is taking French in school--it's the most romantic language ever! There were plenty of French phrases and even more delicious French pastries. I honestly felt like I was exploring Paris with the descriptions given in the story. It wasn't a travelog by any means, but a magical, romantic story that completely drew me in. I loved the little doodles between sections within the chapters.

Chloe's past unfolds in snippets given here and t

I wouldn’t recommend reading this if you’re hungry. Even if you aren’t, you ‘ll be craving some French pastries! My husband lived in France for a couple years and he still talks about how good their food is.

I thought this was a fun read. I liked Chloe, although I wish she would’ve been a little braver where her boyfriend Mathew was concerned. I thought she seemed realistic, but it was a little frustrating for me because I wouldn’t have put up with half the stuff she did. I wanted to step in

So delicious! I was absolutely craving eclairs, crepes and chocolate croissants by the end of the first page of PARIS CRAVINGS. The only thing that stopped me from racing down to the local bakery and stuffing myself with beignets was the knowledge that the bakery was closed (it was one o'clock in the morning) and the sad realization that our local offerings couldn't possibly compare to those of the Paris Patisserie.

Besides, running to the bakery would have required putting down the book.

So much fun! I absolutely recommend this. I was craving something swoony and frothy, and I loved ANNA AND THE FRENCH KISS and Gayle Forman's JUST ONE DAY series--there aren't nearly enough books like that! So I dove head first into this one, and by the time I came up for air I'd lost more sleep than I could afford. But it was worth it. Not only is this a lovely romance with heart and humor, but there's a lot of hidden depth to it that elevates it beyond what I initially thought it was going to b ...more

Lots to LOVE here! This is a sweet, clean romance for YA readers, with a great premise and an interesting setting! PARIS of course! I love that Chloe, who is on a high school trip to Paris, through a mishap, discovers not only French pastry to die for, but a surprise relationship as well, not to mention a little be about herself. There's plenty of romance, pastries, and Paris in this books. The sights, smells and sounds all come to life beautifully. I love the sprinkling of French through the bo ...more

When Chloe takes the chance to escape to Paris on her Senior Class trip, her only aim was to avoid ‘boy’ troubles for a while and calmly decide what course her life should take. Little did she know that she would fall in love with French desserts and that falling in trouble could bring her to paradise! After tripping and falling down at a bakery, and missing her team tour bus, Chloe meets Jean-Paul, the son of the owner of the bakery. The next couple of days fly by

A sweet romance and fun story about Chloe, who is on a high school trip to Paris. When she misses her tour bus because of a final stop at her favorite French pastry shop, she discovers that it might just be fate. Lots of romance, lots of pastries, and lots of Paris. What more can a girl want?

Fun happily ever after story.

Content: the romance aspect is clean but there is mild language throughout.

Who can resist a book set in Paris amidst a Patisserie shop full of eclairs and pastries?! I'm excited this is a series, because anything with a bakery involved and I am in! Paris Carvings started out with a girl, a big box, some high heels and a mishap with a door. Insert cute worker with Hershey brown eyes, a French accent and a missing passport and you have the beginnings of romance.

Chloe is about to leave her summer student exchange program in Paris when a mishap leaves her stranded and cove

I got about 50% into this book and while I was mildly entertained, the innuendos and her boyfriend Matthew's pressuring her into having sex, and his blatant cheating on her, and all the over talking of pastries and French desserts just didn't entice me to continue reading. Don't even mind that I don't know how it ends.

Moral Note: Some language, OMG's, hecks, dangs, etc. Romance - kissing, making out in bedroom, talk of wanting to have sex, and her not wanting too, etc. Don't recommend for the t

This book delivered exactly what it promised--a sweet romance set among the sweet treats of Paris. IN Paris. Bonus!

Sometimes you just need to escape with a refreshing read and this book did that for me. The pacing was quick and the characters likable and endearing. The ending was a happy surprise for me--I totally didn't see that coming!

The main character comes across as silly and irresponsible, but it's still a fun little read. Has a good central point.

Pun intended, this is a sweet romance, suitable for younger readers. The main character is an American high school girl who gets separated from her tour group in Paris and instead of getting lost, finds herself and the answers to her messy relationship.

NOTE: I received the novel in exchange for my honest review.

I was hooked on this novel right away. When i started reading and all the French pastries were being described, I felt in awe and in total envy. I think I'm as much a fan of pastries as Clare, although I don't think I'd miss my tour bus just to put my gluttonous thoughts at rest.

Anyway, i was actually expecting a bunch of pastry recipes in the back of the book, but was very disappointed when I found none. Pray tell, why would you tempt

MY REVIEW (4 /5 stars): I fell in love with the city of Paris. I see why it is my son's favorite city in the world —its lights, sweets, sights, and mystical romance. This author created the perfect recipe for this book by putting in the ingredients of romance, a tour of Paris, nice teenagers, a bakery, and unending bends and surprises.

I love the quote and pictures that I had to post them as the romance just rolls off as Paris just oozes it all over. This poor girl, Chloe didn't have a chance try

Paris Cravings by Kimberley Montpetit is a sweet romance where Chloe Dillard is in France on a bus tour and she's in Paris the city of lights and the famous French Pastries found at her favorite bakery,

Paris Cravings, by Kimberley Montpetit (aka award-winning children's author Kimberley Griffiths Little), is the perfect kind of summer reading. It reminded me of Anna and the French Kiss, without all the relationship drama.

If you have ever dreamed of the romantic city of Paris, France then you are going to love this book. It is full of all things French: the city scenes, the drool worthy pastries and the hot french boy with chocolate eyes. All I know is I was left wanting French pastries so badly it almost hurt.

Chloe is young, just out of high school and on a school trip to Paris. She is a fun character, easy to like. One look into Jean-Paul's chocolate eyes and suddenly her embarrassing mishap doesn't s

I just cannot resist a book with delicious pastries. Especially when the book is set in Paris. And the book cover is just adorable!

Chloe is going to make a big decision about her relationship with her boyfriend, Mathew after she went back from her trip to Paris with her French class. But Chloe missed her tour bus when she decided to take a last minute trip to her favorite Patisserie shop in Paris. She is stuck in the Patisserie shop with a sprained ankle. Paris Cravings by Kimberley Montpetit was such a cute story. Who hasn't fantasized about meeting the man of their dreams on some far off romantic place like Paris? This was an easy book to lose yourself in. It was fun to run with Chloe and Jean-Paul through Paris. I felt like I was there with them at times. The author's writing carries you away with her characters. With all the talk of pastries, I was hungry a lot while I read, and there are no REAL pastry sho

Paris Cravings is a fun Young Adult romance. Chloe misses the bus to the next stop on her Senior trip to France when she sprains her ankle when trying to leave her favorite Paris bakery. She is taken in by the owners of the bakery while she tries to figure out how to meet up with the rest of her travel group.

The more time she spends with Jean-Paul and his mother, the more she comes to love both pastry baking and the brown eyed Jean-Paul! But there are so many cards stacked against them, not the

Well, I give it more of a 3.75 rating. It was a sweet, fun quick, clean romantic read and while I really did enjoy it, it maybe reminded me of Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the French Kiss? Minus a few things, but felt it was done already.

I loved Chloe Dillard's character. I felt she was a smart and funny young lady, who took a risk, as any young person in their late teens would do, and rebelled a little. Hey, when in France, right? I loved how the author made sure that Chloe was one who would no

This was a cute story but I had a hard time getting through it. It wasn't a particularly compelling read and was easy to put down. I found most of the book to be unbelievable and there were some pretty major plot holes. The only redeeming part of it was the romance between Chloe and Jean-Paul and the day they spent sightseeing in Paris. Also, I was looking forward to the relationship talk Chloe was supposed to have with Mathew when she returned to New York and was disappointed in her apparent ac ...more
