This book is goofy... But don't let that stop you. It changed my life. Mixed in with buckets of woo there are glimpses of arcane and esoteric subjects that should be looked at by everyone. Plenty of rich photography, ancient history, symbolism, allegory along with plenty of alternative B.S. and of coursed the failed prediction that the World would end in the year 2000. The book really did change my life by forcing me to get out and build a knowledge base for categories broader than science and history and math. The pursuit continues all these years later. And the best part is that we're all still here!
