I don't normally read magazines but I would whole-heartedly recommend Dark Discoveries to anyone who enjoys reading Weird West stories as well as anyone looking to be introduced to different authors.
The short stories were great. I enjoyed everyone immensely, though I especially loved Satan's Jewel Crown by Gemma Files. The articles were well researched. I found them to be quite informative and engaging. The interviews were also intriguing.
Had it not been for a rather bland article about Stephen King or a somewhat boring interview with Quentin Tarantino I would have rated this higher. Overall I would give it a 3 and 1/2 stars.
