Olivia Thorne’s book, All That He Wants is a spicy read.🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book follows Lily Ross, a sassy and extremely competent executive assistant finds herself torn between her horrible, but safe job and jumping into a weekend of excitement when billionaire Connor Templeton entices her to let go, throw caution to the wind, and break all of her rules.
What will happen when his estranged parents and sociopathic ex-fiancé find out he’s seeing someone they never counted on being able to stand up to them?
Book Quotes:
“Johnny smiled, and shook his head. ‘You’re a keeper, Lily,’ ‘What’s that mean? I asked warily. ‘It means you’re the first woman I’ve met around Connor who worried about paying for something herself, much less paying for it after having her life threatened.’ ‘Thanks, but… he didn’t really threaten *me*.’ ‘Close enough’.”
“There were so many things I wanted to say to him… and now that he couldn’t hear me, couldn’t talk back… now was the only time I had the courage to say them. ‘I just wanted to tell you I love you.’ I said wiping tears off my cheeks. ‘I’ve always loved you and I never stopped loving you. I’m sorry I walked out two months ago… please… please get well. I love you, I’ll always love you, and I *need* you. Please be ok. *Please* be ok. And thank you… thank you for saving my life.’ I got up, leaned over the bed, and kissed him.”
Experience the highs, lows, adventures, dangers, and heat they encounter throughout Olivia Thorne’s All That He Wants.
This book is among the short list of those that I wanted to immediately start reading again. Enjoy!
I had a great time reading this book, but there was few things that bothered me. The first 40-50% of the book is just about the main characters, Conner and Lily, having sex. I would have loved to know more about their families, friends, and even their enemies.
On the first day they meet, Conner convinces Lily to have sex with him and spend the weekend with him. She leaves her phone and purse behind, and she barely thinks about either of them. She’s so excited to spend a blissful and sexual weekend with him that she throws caution to the wind.
During the weekend, Lily is discovering her sexuality. After the weekend is over, she’s fired, and Conner asks her to come with him. Again, she throws caution to the wind. They have wonderful sexual moments, and one of them is even caught on film. Now there’s a sex scandal! Conner’s ex-girlfriend and his brother are engaged, and Conner’s ex-girlfriend’s is crazy. His mom and dad are terrible! Six days into knowing each other, they exchange “I love you’s” and a sex scandal. Lily takes the fall, Conner is scared of his feelings, and they break up.
Three months later, with the help of her Mmc assistant, Lily started a company, just like Conner had suggested. Her assistant and bodyguard became her fairy godparents, and things took a wild turn. There were make-ups, injuries, attempted murder, and even a proposal!
But this story should have ended there, right? Wrong! His ex-girlfriend, who never gets her hands dirty, had multiple people killed. I was like, “Is she ever going to get caught?” It was hilarious!
Now we have a hacker, traitors, rescue and a wedding!

The story follows Lily, an ordinary woman, who gets swept off her feet by the brooding billionaire Connor. Their passionate connection takes them on a whirlwind adventure, but Connor's dark past casts a shadow. While the idea of a troubled billionaire is interesting, the exploration of his trauma feels shallow.
Lily's Potential Left Untapped:
Lily initially appears as a relatable and strong character. Unfortunately, she frequently falls into the damsel-in-distress trope, relying on Connor for rescue. The series could have greatly benefited from showcasing Lily's strength and resourcefulness, creating a more balanced dynamic.
The Villain - A Missed Opportunity:
The ex-fiancee, Vanessa, is labeled a sociopath, but her backstory remains underdeveloped. Simply stating her condition lacks depth and intrigue. A deeper exploration of her motivations and how she became a sociopath could have added a compelling layer to the narrative.
Underdeveloped Supporting Cast:
The supporting characters, despite their potential, are largely one-dimensional. Lily's friend and bodyguard, while supportive, lack backstory and personality. Similarly, Connor's assistant is a caricature - overly devoted to the point of being annoying. Fleshing out these characters could have enriched the overall story.
Quantity Over Quality - A Storytelling Crutch?
While the series isn't overloaded with graphic sex scenes, the frequent intimacy might suggest a lack of creative depth. A stronger focus on character development, plot twists, and emotional connection could have created a more captivating story.
A Flawed Escape:
"All That He Wants" offers a light and predictable escape with a happily-ever-after ending for those who enjoy the billionaire romance genre. However, the unfulfilled potential for deeper character development, a more nuanced exploration of darkness, and a well-rounded supporting cast leaves the reader wanting more.
In Conclusion:
If you're looking for a quick, familiar read with a focus on passion, "All That He Wants" might provide a temporary escape. However, readers seeking a story with strong characters, a well-developed plot, and a touch of psychological intrigue might be disappointed.
I loved the plot of this book. This is not just “billionaire meets girl and his family doesn’t like her”. This was so much more than the reader ever could have anticipated. Granted, the first 40-50% mostly involved Conner, Lily, and a bed. After that, plot twists started jumping out from everywhere. We knew Miranda was the “bad guy”, but had no idea just HOW bad. I took off one star bc Lily was TSTL. She was amazingly annoying and naive. She asked a million questions at the most inappropriate times. I don’t think I have read a book where the FMC’s self esteem was literally nonexistent. The “evil little voice” in her head almost became the main character. The number of times that Conner, Sebastian, and Johnny had to constantly keep reassuring her became overwhelming. I would still recommend it, if you can skim past Lily’s never ending questions and total lack of common sense. The author did a great job of wrapping up all storylines and giving everyone an ending that they totally deserved, whether good or bad.
Remember, if bad mental health made you constantly fuck off physically, emotionally and socially from your partner, then she would be the same.
But men aren't like this because they are mentally unwell.
They are like this because they choose to be.
Good thing Miranda existed so we could pretend he wasn't making Lily a conflict in his life over and over.
Gawd if only Lily was a human, with long term human adaptations to things.
Buts shes not, shes a placeholder for the unseen, unsexed and unloved to relate to, because they, the mentally ill cunts, are convinced they can save the UNmentally ill toxic man who gets to pretend his choice to be emotionally deregulated is the same thing.
Gawd that scene where she has to dissociate during sex felt grapey like he didn't give a fuck that she wasn't even with him, because consent is always enthusiastic.
Huh
He should have died but its fine, she was will to work hard to.prove herself better than other women.
I enjoyed this book for the most part but there were a few things that took this from a 5 to a 3 for me. The usage of a “very gay” voice in reference to Sebastian over and over was unnecessary and to me, rude. Was there no other way to describe him? Sassy, boisterous, eccentric, spirited, flamboyant, the list goes on but to constantly define a character by their sexuality came across as stereotypical and redundant. Honestly a lot of the series had racial and sexist stereotypes written off as jokes which fell flat to me as the reader. It felt very tone deaf and juvenile
Oh. My. God. What did I just read & thoroughly enjoy?!?! First, let me say I wish there were more than five stars to give this book! Connor and Lily were everything… I loved Sebastian as well. This book had so many twists and turns. I could not put it down (if not for work, I wouldn’t have!) this book held my interest big time…I couldn’t wait to get home from work to read it. I cannot believe there is anybody as evil as Miranda in this world. Money and power will do that to people, I suppose. I loved the love story between Connor and Lily. I sure do wish I could read this book again for the very first time. I cannot recommend this book highly enough to anybody who is unsure about reading it.. do it! You won’t be sorry!!
Well I have to say I nearly put this series down as I was getting a bit annoyed with Lily's POV. I would have preferred some from Connors POV. However, the series only picked up in the last book. I think you would have sussed out Miranda was behind most of the things going on and when Connors father died it all came together. So glad Miranda was killed off (sorry for being blunt) as I felt the woman was evil incarnate. Glad Connor and Lily got married in the end. Now to read the bonus scene from Connors POV 👍🏼
Somehow I missed the part where I borrowed from KU the entire series in one book. From start to finish though I did enjoy Connor and Lily's story. Something's were a little eye rolling, but that's more or less common in billionaire books. I liked the pacing and even the villains were interesting. By the end, Connor became a real life hero and our couple get their HEA. P.S. A shout out to Johnny and Sebastian.
This is one Roller-coaster after another Its fast paced and you wont want to put it down till you've finished ,No spoilers you just need to read it , Sebastian is a hoot Conner and Lily are the two main characters and they are put through their paces in this story so enjoy
Just wow. This book/series has it all. Romance Steam Intrigue. I devoured this in 2 days ....I could not put my Paperwhite down. I have just discovered this author and she definitely writes what I want to read. I highly recommend this ... especially if steamy is your thing. I never expected the ending to be what happened but it was fascinating
After reading this authors rockstar series I immediately launched into her billionaire series and it was every bit as good. Olivia Thorne is about to become a one click author for me.
I could break down the whole premise and go on and on about my thoughts but I think it's better to go in blind and just let her take you for a ride.
This complete series was wonderful. I really fell in love with the characters. Connor & Lily were such a opposites attract story. I read the whole thing in 3 days, had to work but at home I'm reading. Sebastian, Ann and Johnny were amazing so loyal to our Connor & Lily. Have read many books by this author, just amazing! Thank you and I'm ready for more.......
DNF 55% because of MFC inner monologue could have been chopped in half for the book. It felt as if the book had extra chapters making it all unnecessary. The story itself was good even if it was insta love but plausible I suppose. The 🌶️ was not that spicy and about 🌶️🌶️🌶️, each time they were there the inner monologue destroyed it for me. I did not dislike the characters though.
Couldn’t put this (these?) book (books) down. This series has it all, good guys & bad guys, good women & bad women, laughs, grudges, drama and drama queens. The action takes place across the US and even ventures into international waters! I read it first through my kindle unlimited subscription but now I am going to buy it so I can read it again and again!
I want to read it again. That's how good this story is. So many twists and turns!!! The characters are unforgettable. Kept me on the edge of my seat. And the villan???? No spoilers but wow.
Once again a different book for me. Like the previous book it was mostly 1 pov. Lily was the one centered on. Too much sex so skipped most of that. Overall a great plot with many twists and turns. I will read again.
I thought the author's other books were fantastic, but I have to say this one is my favorite. It was a great story. So sexy and hot. It was suspenseful and I really cried at certain times. Best read ever
I have to say I loved the complete set of 'All that he wants'. I really don't think I could've waited for each separate story ( thank you for that). Every main character was likable ( mostly) and the villian was absolutely vile.
This series should be on Netflix, seriously I cried and laughed and missed work to finish. Olivia Thorne is my new Nora Robert and Suzan Elisapeth Philips. Loveeeeed this.
This was a long read but so worth it. From the first time lily and Connor met I was invested in the story line. Each page with all the characters was a good suspense.
A very good read! Pacing good. Characters carefully created and most engaging. Sometimes the erotic element was a little over the top, so much so that it detracted from the story. Still a very good read!
I couldn't put it down!! It took me four days to read all three books. The love, the sex,the mystery, the angst, the laughter, etc. It's all there. I couldn't stop wondering what happened next. You won't be disappointed!!!
This series wrenched such a range of emotions out of me. Conor and Lily went through so much. It was easy to relate to with the real life joy, pain and everything in between. Thank you again for an amazing adventure.
From start to finish this work of fiction was the best to read. From the story line to the great personal (sex scenes) display of affection and the action scenes it was unstoppable.
The story was great. The spicy scenes were a little repetitive but all in all well done. I finished this is 3 days. Looking at some more Olivia Thorne to read now.
Loved the book. The mystery and dark dealings added an interesting twist to the love story. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a more in depth storyline.
