so good it makes me feel like my hair is on fire. todd haynes has such a vision and its so clear he loves what he's talking about. some screenplays make it clear that actors and production design shaped the overall tone of the movie but you can tell that this one sprung from haynes' head fully formed.

If anything, this movie has only gained relevance since it came out. The stuff about the personal vs the public perception, the performance of celebrity and identity, how much fans and fandoms crave a connection, and how quickly that craving can turn to vitriol when they feel betrayed... seriously, someone needs to resurrect this film as a re-discovered piece of genius.

I read this in a single sitting in the Benilde Library since my class was cancelled. Took about an hour 30.

Fucking electrifying screenplay, I can’t wait to actually watch this movie now, after reading it.
