Wonderful overview of the Biblical book of Revelation. Dr. Paulien reveals that an understanding of the Old Testament sanctuary (and of the Old Testament generally) is essential to interpreting & understanding the book of Revelation. This book steers clear of all the fanciful, extravagant and much too literal interpretations (e.g., politics, Middle East) of John's apocalypse, focusing on what was no doubt the author's intent--what does the book tell us about Jesus Christ, and the God He came to reveal?

Really powerful insight into the different patterns found in Revelation along with how it is constructed. Also makes strong ties to the Old Testament Sanctuary through the symbols found throughout the book.
