The Academy of the Profane #3

The Goddess is Fierce

Rate this book
We have a witness, but they have no memories and could actually be the murderer.Sol is a big, beautiful teddy bear. It's hard to believe he's capable of murdering witches. And Azren doesn't know what his motive could be any better than he does. It doesn't make sense, but there's no one else it could be unless they are just really good at hiding. We can get all of Sol's memories back and hopefully exonerate him. We just have to locate a very tricky raven who likes to speak in riddles. No problem, right? This book will release earlier

Fricking Awesome

The final series in the Profane world was as amazing as the previous ones. It centers around George and her growing harem of hotties. And damn does it give you a choice of book boyfriends to choose from. It's hilariously funny thanks mainly to West and the abundance of dick jokes but there's a storyline too. You also have a great supporting cast in George's twin Matilda and her female harem. Plus the smattering of previous series cameos. All in all I totally love the Profane world series and it's on my go to list of books to read when I'm in a book slump.

If I could have given more than 5 stars I would have happily.

Series Closeout

Can I just say that I am happy for a series close out that didn’t leave me hanging!?! The 3rd book in this series was good. Like always, I love that they are super inclusive with pronouns, etc. West will forever be my favorite! I wouldn’t have guessed the ending by reading the first 2 books in the series, but to me it was a bit obvious as the story played out in this book… can’t say I hate that. Overall, lots of love and fun. The spicy scenes were good and it was an enjoyable read.

I love that George is owning her god-hood now that she's been outed, living her best god life with cool AF magic. She's handling her issues but in a very George way, meaning she's way too nice about it, meanwhile, Matailda and Mags are ready to bring it, haha. George's guys are great and I really like the new developments but it just has to be said West is my favorite. He's happy, upbeat, caring, sweet and so much more and he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

The story was excellent. JB included even more interesting mythology in this one. The mystery aspect of it really pulled me in. Trying to put the clues together to solve the crime. After all the twists and turns I got the answers I was looking for including what was going on with Sol because I really like him. However, I didn't expect the answers I got about the serial killer. Seriously, it was a great plot and made tons of sense. Trepagnier is a genius. I can't phantom how she pulled it all together. Besides the mystery this book was a great time, I loved the magic, oh and the dodgeball stuff and family bonding were great.

The Goddess is Fierce wrapped up George's story perfectly, we got all the answers. Trepagnier has more than a few series spread across this universe, all of them funny, quirky, and fun. This universe is the very reason why I became a huge fan. I still have a few more books to catch up on and I couldn't be more excited.

Our heroine is stuck with a conundrum. Our heroes have lost their memories, something she definitely wants to fix. But it could also provide the evidence needed to prove them guilt of the problems at the academy. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

This is book three of the series, but it does pretty well as a standalone. The essentials are covered early on.

This is a paranormal reverse harem romance with an academy setting. The story is well written and easy to read. The characters are well done, with nice backgrounds and unique personalities. I really liked our heroine and her team of friends. The setting is also nicely done with a lot of the standard academy elements plus some surprises. There is a lot of action as well as a bit of steam. Overall, it was a fun read and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Highly recommended.

So I finished this book in about four hours after repeatedly checking Amazon and the Facebook page to see the earlier release date since the 2nd book came out. It was absolutely worth the minor page stalking and wait to get a free copy a couple days earlier!

The main character continues to be all things female characters should be….. badass and knows her worth. I honestly didn’t think I would like another god as much as Reyson but Azren did it, they are awesome! The entire Profane world was worth the read and I’ve read all the books several times since they came out.

The epilogue answered some questions I had for George’s future.

I've been waiting for the 3rd book in the Academy series since I finished the 2nd book. I read it in 1 day and went the ARC route because I couldn't wait a few more days. I was not disappointed. I will still be purchasing it when it comes out because I have a habit of rereading my books and I need the complete set. I'm sad to see the Profane world end, I will miss it, but hopefully she will do the one for charity. If she ever changes her mind and wants to revisit the Profane world again, I will be 1st in line for it.

George and her friends really need to find out who the serial killer is. They dont believe that it is Sol - but he is hiding something. What is the trutyh about Hale? Will they all survive or will the murderer win? I have loved every bit of this series! The characters are amazing, and the story lines keep you reading.

Really loved this series and characters. I’m gonna miss these characters especially my favorite lion and pixie those two were my favorites but I loved the other too. When you find out who the 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 is it’s a bit of a shock especially when you find the reason for everything. But that last moon orgy was one spicy orgy and you won’t be disappointed . I wish the book was longer so we got to see them through out the years but the epilogue gives you that . Awesome book / series.

This was the perfect ending to the profane world. JB created this lovely world and gave us everything we wanted and didn’t know we needed. They explored different supernatural kinds, created fantastic characters and I even learned some new things. 5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ for spice and everything nice.

I can’t believe how bittersweet it felt to know this is the last Profane book. I’ve been following the books set in profane and love them all - I wish we were getting more!

This is a beautiful end piece to an incredible world. Hats off to JB for wrapping everything up neatly.

It All Comes Together

George has been outed as a god, but her crew still has her back while they try to stop a serial killer. This story is the conclusion of the trilogy and of the Profane World, and it ends with a bang! I loved George and her crew, plus her family and extended group. A great conclusion to a mad-cap trilogy.

The Goddess is Fierce is the final book in The Academy of the Profane series. Although I am sad to say goodbye to George and her harem I loved getting to read their unique journey with all the unexpected twists, mystery, humor, steam, and the happily ever afters. I look forward to reading the next great series by this fabulous author. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

ends neatly tucked!

I really appreciate how the author cleared up just about any question that was lingering. Another awesome read in this universe. Hope she’s not done with it all together! Also, thanks for another ending I did not see coming - so ya nice to be stumped occasionally!

This was a fantastic ending to this trilogy - JB wrapped up all the loose ends of this story perfectly! I think George is one of my fave RH heroines recently - she so awesomely badass - if you haven't started this series, go and so now, you won't be disappointed :-).

Holy puritan ghosts, what a finale. After having the big Sol question answered- George and company still have to solve the murders of innocent witches. Between classes, mean girls, dodgeball and moon orgies- what's a young god to do? Well, she's gotta pool all her resources.

This is an amazing conclusion to the profane world, not only George's story- but everyone gets their HEA this time. I loved the characters and the lore woven in. I ended with tears in my eyes and knowledge that I will read this entire world again.

10/10

Didn’t want to see this series end but I enjoyed it very much. I like that this is a pnr academy romance without a bunch of bully nonsense in it. Bonus points that it’s multiple pov. I’ve liked all that came from the world of the Profane thus far.

Omg

I'm super sad to see the profane series end. But it ended on an extremely high note. There were ups and down, but 3 super sexy gods & 5 powerful supernaturals, who could ask for more. I'll wait a few months then do a full profane reread. I'm obsessed

I love the way the ending wraps things up. The cliffhangers are all easily finished in real ways, not miracle nonsense ways. Wish there was more about what happens in the future after school in the epilogue. Wish there was going to be another book in the series.
