Glen directs the evangelistic charity Speak Life. He is an ordained Anglican who writes, speaks, and makes media to equip the church and reach beyond it. He is married to Emma and is the author of 7 books, including 321, Long Story Short and The Gift.
I could read Glen Scrivener talking to unbelievers all day. What a gifted evangelist. He always challenges me to think more creatively and communicate more compellingly.
I didn’t love this book’s aesthetic formatting—it’s quite “busy” with a lot of moving parts—but the content is superb.
Clear and engaging, a great introduction to Christianity that is simple without being simplistic. Glen creatively tells stories and scenarios that help the reader get a different perspective of the most important things in life and see how the way of Jesus makes sense with them.
*I work for 10ofThose but was not required to give a positive review.
Scrivener has a certain way of unpacking the gospel with great storied parallels that are easily understandable.
I would recommend this book for any person looking to understand the gospel in a fresh way, or to learn how to more effectively share the message of Jesus.
Superb! Glen manages to write about themes and topics as wide as the universe and as mind boggling as the trinity and as sticky as original sin and as controversial as Christ's unique claims to be the only way, all in a manner that is at once readily understandable, winsome and characteristically humourous!
The world might not be as easy as a, b, c, but Glen has shown that it can be seen in 3, 2, 1.
An excellent read. Simple and clear pointers to help set-up bringing conversation to the gospel. Struggle to bring Jesus into conversations? This book is for you.
