Text Me You Love Me #9

Texting My Guardian Angel

Rate this book
It’s a shot in the dark. A text to a hitman. But he responds, and then somehow, I’m falling for him.

People say he’s part devil, part angel. Nobody knows his name. He’s my last hope when loan sharks threaten my mom. When he offers us a place to stay. How can I say no?

My mom needs stability. She’s suffering from her addiction, but there’s a catch. All the rooms have cameras. He’s watching me. Our texts take us to steamy places, sending each other photos and sharing details.

Sam is over twice my age, with a body to die for and eyes somewhere between scary and so hot I could scream. He starts to take control and guides us to sweltering places as he watches me on camera.

After years of trying to support Mom, it’s a relief to let go.

However, I’m not sure what happens when we go beyond texting. I keep thinking about the future, wedding bells, stuff a so-called streetwise woman should know better than to hope for.

The more we text, the closer I feel to my guardian angel. But can this become something real? What happens when he no longer has to protect us?*

Texting My Guardian Angel is an insta-everything standalone romance with a HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

This is the 9th book in the Text Me You Love Me series featuring Sam and Katy's fast-paced age-gap, insta-love romance. Katy's mom is a drug addict and she borrowed money from the wrong people the Russian Bratva and they threaten to make an example of her if she doesn't pay. Katy is scared so she goes to talk to her neighbor Eli and she tells him what her mother did and that they can't run because they threatened to hurt her if she did. Eli offers her $1500 and tells her that he's got a number for her that could maybe solve her problem. The number Eli says is for a man that is part angel and part devil and that he's just who she needs text him (because you can only text the number he gives her)that she has $1500 and tell him what happened. This is how Katy and Sam start texting when Sam gets her text something about it grabs his attention so he responds and they go back and forth. Eventually Sam asks Katy for pictures of her and her mother holding their ID and Katy asks for his picture too. As soon as Sam sees Katy's picture he knows that she's his even his dog sat up responding to his mood and he sees that she's scared and she's only 19 to his 42 and he starts seeing the future with their children. When Katy sees Sam's picture she falls in love with the big strapping hitman. Will Sam be able to save Katy's mom from the Russian Bratva and will they get their HEA? You really need to read this fast-paced age-gap, insta-love romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Katy was forced to grow up too soon. Her father was killed by a mugger when she was 11 and her mother became a drug addict. Even though at times her mother tried to go straight, she always ended up giving in to her need for drugs. Katy has been responsible for keeping a roof over their head for years. Then one day she learns from her mother that her mother owes $5000 to the Bratva. The Bratva were coming to collect in a couple of days and if her mother didn't have the money, they would kill her. If her mother and she runs the Bratva would come after both of them and kill them. Katy isn't ready to give up. She asks her elderly neighbor for advice and he gives her the number of a man who could take care of her problem if he chose. Katy texts him and is surprised when he agrees to help. She can't believe that he is real and is ready to help. She continues to text him because she is drawn to him and he seems interested in her.

Sam is ex-military and most people see him as cold and unfeeling. The only one he lets close to him is his dog. Then he gets a text message from a stranger named Katy. Just one look at her photo and he knows that she is meant to be his. He wants nothing more than to keep her safe and next to him. However he may be too dark for a beautiful girl like Katy.

Don’t mess with Jackal.
Fantastic. Katy is desperate to save her addict mother and ultimately herself from the former’s deeds. A neighbor gives her a number to text for help. The person at the other end agrees to help and handle things for them. When she gets another text telling her that her and her mother need to be moved Katy is hesitant and even more so when told to send their photo identifications. When Sam sees Katy’s picture one two words comes to his mind: SHE’S MINE! After being secured in a safe place he continues to text with her. His feelings get more intense and he watches her on the video feed in the apartment. Things get very heated when Sam visits Katy late one night but, they are almost caught by her mother. They make plans for the next day but, that too is interrupted when she comes face to face with her father’s killer. After they spend a long time at the police station Sam is gone when Katy is released from giving her statements. Sam has made arrangements for a friend to watch over them. He fears she doesn’t feel the same way about him that he does about her. Will Katy ever get the chance to set Sam straight?.

When Fate Bring Eternal Happiness -
Katy only contacted Sam because she needed his help, but she found herself engaging in flirty text exchanges with him not long after he resolved her issue. Sam was apprehensive when he initially received the SOS text message, but his protective instincts kicked in and he felt an inexplicable pull towards towards Katy from the moment he laid eyes on her picture.

Even though Sam had successfully resolved Katy’s problem, he continued to play a cat and mouse game with her, as they got to know each other better, but all of this was doing in secret. Unfortunately, Katy found herself in danger again and this led to the apprehension of a criminal from her past, but it also brought back a lot of painful issues from Sam’s past.

As luck would have it, Katy was able help Sam through his suffering, which gave them both the courage to finally acknowledge their love for each other publicly and embark on the happy life they both deserved. This was a really interesting storyline, that I enjoyed it from start to finish. The drama, steamy encounters and the diverse characters, made this an awesome must read book, that I would be happy to recommend to anyone.

Such an AMAZING installment to this series! 🥰

• Plot 📖📖📖📖 /5
• Characters: 🫂🫂🫂🫂
• Drama/Angst: 😰😰😰
• Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
• POV: Dual
• HEA? ✔️
• Would I re-read? ✔️
• Epilogue? ✔️✔️✔️✔️ 1 month, 10 months, 3 years & 9 years later

I gotta say, this series was the surprise of the century. I wasn’t sure what to expect given that they’re all text based, but each and every one of them have been fantastic including this one!

My favorite thing about this book is it felt so different from all the others in the series. Yeah, there’s the required protective alpha (swoon!), but the danger that the FMC is in and the nature of who this dark angel of a MMC are put a fun spin on the book.

I loved them getting to know one another and of course the steam 🥵. I also loved the epilogues so much as they put those finishing touches on the story that honestly other authors never do. Often times we get a short term OR a long in the future epilogue but I’m so grateful we get a mix of both 😘

If you love any of Flora’s books then definitely give this one a read, you won’t regret it!!! 🥰

MMC/FMC- Sam and Katy
POV- 1st person dual
Genre- Contemporary Romance
Sub Genre- Erotic Romance
Other- Guest Starring The Bratva
Bonus- link to free story
Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋. Lots of build up, voyeurism, fantasy , lots of mutual self-love, and they do the thing whilst naming the parts.
Safety: Absolutely- there’s no s. violence or cheating. Also, no OM/OW drama and no cliffhanger. HEA.
Triggers- Language, explicit erotic content, substance abuse, violence.
Tropes - Instalove, BBW, Hitman Baby One More Time, Age Gap, He Ain’t Heavy- He’s My Bratva, Man Is Dog’s Best Friend.
What I liked- I liked the characters. Jackal was my favorite. He’s now my Book Dogfriend. And gotta love the Instalove. And I thought it pretty innovative how the book was so hot before they did the actual thing.
What I didn’t like- I can’t train a cat to do what Jackal does. Oh, who’m I kidding? I can’t train a cat, period.

Katy’s addict mother owes money to some local gangsters. They’ve threatened to hurt her and Katy, so Katy reaches out to a hitman. Upon seeing her photo, Sam falls in love at first sight and vows to keep her safe — and make her his. She also falls in instalove with him but neither mentions their feelings, fearing the other person doesn’t feel the same. Once they finally open up, they’re able to get their HEA.

One of the things I love about Flora’s books is that her men know what — and who — they want and will go to the ends of the earth to make it happen. She’s also a master at dirty talk. 🥵 Katy’s and Sam’s fantasies were so hot I didn’t even notice that it took three-quarters of the book for them to fully consummate their relationship. And when they did, it was even more 🔥🔥🔥. Loved the multiple epilogues as well, including one from Jax! 🐕.

This was just horrible. I'm beginning to think they author is secretly a man because no woman would write this garbage, specifically about other women.

The man is more than twice her age. Normally, age gaps don't bother me much is the girl is at least in her mid 20s but this is 19! What is supposed to be the MMC keeps saying he would love her at any age, but her knows nothing about her except her age and what she looks like. Then all his fantasies and descriptions of her include the word 'young'. Like all her parts are described as young if you get my drift.

To make matters worse, any woman over 30 is described as nagging, broken, or bitter. You mean women who have lived life and can see through the pervyness?

This was hard hot garbage and I'm seriously questioning all the high reviews.

Texting my Guardian Angel is a steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, girl gets her hunky hitman romance. Katy is a smart and sassy curvy girl whose mom is a drug addict. Sam is an older, hunky hitman. Her mom owes a lot of money to some dangerous people. She speaks to her neighbor, who gives her Sam's number, a hitman, as someone who can help them. She texts him, and when they exchange pictures its love at first sight for both. He moves them to a safe house and the two text all the time. It's fun to see how hot and steamy the story gets before they get physical. The chemistry was intense. There is some violence and drama, but we then get our HEA. Sam is just so sexy!!.

Our heroine is desperate for help, so she texts our hero. She really doesn't expect a response, but when she gets one, things start to move really fast. And now they are both wondering what happens when the danger is over.

This book is part of a series, but each one is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to enjoy this book.

This is something of an age gap romance with a bit of the taboo. The story is well written and easy to read with fun characters and a good plot. I rather enjoyed the action and intrigue in this one, plus the delightful steam and a nice HEA. Overall, another very enjoyable story from our author and I look forward more in the future.

Highly recommended.

Katy finds out her mom is in financial straits with a mafia and may seriously hurt her the next night. A neighbor friend gives her a phone number that introduces her to Sam via text. Ex-SEAL and helps saving people, he takes on the problem and sends Katy and her mom and their neighbor to a safe house. So many twists and coincidences, entertaining situations, long text messages, harsh backstories, a killer found, a wonder dog named Jackal, and great chemistry. Totally loved the characters, the vivid locales and great epilogues.

Wow! That was the first word that came to my mind after reading Texting My Guardian Angel by Flora Ferrari. After her drug addicted mom fails to repay the Bratva, Katy sends a text to a complete stranger begging for help. What began as a single text turns into so much more. Sam reads the new stranger's text message and he is immediately obsessed. She will soon belong to him. And the people who are threatening Katy and her mom will not stand in his way. No one will. Definitely enjoyed this suspenseful OTT insta love romance!.

I loved Texting My Guardian Angel Book 9 of Text Me You Love Me. Sam is the devil or an angel depending on what you need. Katy texts him for help. When he sees her he just knows she’s the one he’s been waiting for, his wife and mother of his children. Katy can’t believe when she sees him, he’s the one meant for her. They only communicate by text but that grows and Sam will do anything to keep her and her mom safe. There are some unexpected twists and turns. A little drama and lots of steamy scenes. I loved the storyline and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Katy & Sam. Katy finds out that her mom has made a deal with some loan sharks. Katy has been taking care of her mom for years now and this will be no different. The person she reaches out to just happens to be Sam the man she hopes to have a future with. Sam can't believe the one person he should say no to is one he knows he can't. From the moment he sees her picture he knows he has to have her. Can they find a HEA or will others make sure that will never happen?

Another amazing hit by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

After the passing of her father Katy has had to be the adult when it comes to her mother and once again she needs to help her out of a dangerous situation. Desperate she reaches out to Sam, a hitman, to help her with the problem and finds something so much along the way.

From the moment that Sam sees a picture of Katy he knows that he will do whatever is necessary to protect her from everyone and everything, including himself, whether she agrees or not.

A little suspense and hot chemistry as a man who still bears the emotional scars of his past finds the woman who helps him heal. They are exactly what the other needs in their life even if outsiders don’t agree.

Katy is in desperate need, her mom being threatened by loan sharks. She feels responsible to take care of her, her mom being sik by addiction. She texts Sam, who is supposed to be half good half evil and a hitman. He offers them to move in, also being older than her, falling instantly for Katy. The feelings are mutual, but of course there are some obstacles.
I enjoyed the story and chemistry between Sam and Katy. He is so protective and fighting to be better due to his love for Katy. She is such a warm, loving and strong young woman. The multiple epilogues were so heartwarming.

I usually don't mind an age gap romance but as long as there's no more than 10-15yrs between the MCs. This book though has a 23yr age gap, yikes, but after chapter 2 I was hooked. Then as I continued to read it got kinda weird, the dog thing from Sam was strange. This was decently written but there where some minor opps and a few times it seemed like this might partially have been written by more than one person or via AI. There was also parts where the story felt rushed and underdeveloped. The characters weren't bad, Sam felt the most developed. I've never read a book with so much text messaging in it, it wasn't terrible but I'll skip more by this author.

This interesting Book 9 in The Text Me You Love Me Book Series has an entertaining story, unique characters. She texts into a relationship with him after she gets his number from her neighbor after she is threatened because her mom borrowed money. She texts him for help and they both feel a spark, especially when he sees her driver's license photo. Will they continue to text, will they actually act on their feelings and become a couple? HEA.
This is a fast-paced, action-packed, romance.

Awesome

The story has the usual instant love and lust. However the story also has a few unexpected twists and turns. Katy’s mom is a recovering addict and owes the Bratva a lot of money. Katy’s neighbor is an elderly man who speaks in riddles and whose son is a murderer. Katy’s love interest, Sam, is a hit man. Watching how everyone interacts with each other, including Sam’s friend Liam, is what makes this book so hard to put down. And Sam’s proposal to Katy is heartfelt and loving. Or maybe it’s Katy’s response-that she doesn’t need a ring!

So satisfying!!!

I've read a lot of books by Flora Ferrari; this one is absolutely my favorite! So richly developed, so filled with emotion...yes, there are a couple of OTT, soap opera dramatics, but this story is so much more. Sam and Katy are strong, loving people in spite of (because of?) past traumas which are skillfully presented. I especially appreciate the attention given to secondary players; their characters are given depth which makes them more than mere filler. And the ending is everything I could have wished for (even with a bit of sorrowful reality). Loved it!!!

This was Very Heartfelt

It makes you think of choices you make in life and some of the consequences. What if's. What to do in the future to correct it. This couple coming together and not even meeting each other and fall in love with each other. And then learn what they had to go through. Heart wrenching! Coupled with just the right amount of steam, A little sassy/cocky too. I just wish they would matchup the cover picture with what's written.
Best book so far by Flora Ferrari.

The hitman has a heart and it belongs to her

Texting My Guardian Angel is part of the Text Me You Love Me series. This story is different from the other books. It is a more intense story, besides the insta-lust/love, age-gap romance. Katy and Sam are two people with complicated lives who somehow find their way to each other and into a relationship that is not only steamy hot but also makes them both whole.
This was an engaging read that kept me on the hook throughout.

I absolutely loved Katy! Well honestly I loved both of them! I had never read any of the books in this series because the idea of it being over text for a good chunk was off putting. I would say for sure don't think the way I did!!! I actually went back and read 2 more from this series after because I eyed this one so much and when I am done writing this I will go and grab another. So for sure, give it a chance!.
