Charlotte Brice started writing at the age of thirteen when her handwriting looked like a drunken spider tried to navigate its way across the page. Practicing her handwriting got a lot more interesting when her gran gave her two Rawhide books, and her imagination took over.
Charlotte is left-handed and can lick her own nose.
She lives in England with her husband, and many animals, four of them human. Attack chickens, confused dragons and moving rocks make up the majority of the menagerie. We can't expect much better from someone who studied fruit flies during her animal science degree and then qualified as a vet.
She remembers those days fondly, when putting her arm up a cow's bottom, and socks on emus' heads was her kind of normality. Now her head is filled with tentacles and schizophrenic phoenixes.

In this third book of the series, Nico, the sexy young Romanian torturer is living with Caeo. Nico is hilarious as he tries to learn English and adjust to no longer torturing enemies. Caeo desperately wants him but struggles to give him freedom and life skills. With Knox and Porter still involved, this book is the darkest yet and totally fascinating though it can be confusing. Nico is an original in every way, a psychopath yet innocent and protective and so clever, wanting pain to feel. Caeo has wanted Nico forever and waited for him to grow up and become his. This book is like an accident you can't look away from, absorbing and grabbing your attention. I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

Nico is pushed into becoming Supreme Overlord, a role he never wanted but can’t refuse without risking a war. An undercover mission finally forces Caeo to see how much Nico needs guidance and grounding, not just protection. Feeling trapped by power and pressure, Nico makes a bold move that throws the four ruling families into chaos. As everything burns, Caeo must decide whether to stand with him or let their fragile connection be lost in the fallout.

I loved this story where Nico absolutely stole the show for me. Even with a past that shaped him into a psychopath, his brilliance is undeniable — the way he plays mental chess with every crime family at once is both terrifying and impressive. All he really wants is freedom, yet he’s constantly trapped between people who want to control him, and that tension gives the story so much weight. What balanced that intensity beautifully was Caeo’s steady, instinctive desire to care for him. Their undercover mission didn’t just shift their dynamic — it sealed it, revealing how naturally they fall into a Daddy/boy bond that makes emotional sense for both of them. A sharp, clever, and unexpectedly tender story. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB or Daddy/boy dynamic.

This is book 3 in this MM series and centres on Nico and Caeo.

Nico has been a bit of a mystery so far in the series but this is his book to shine. He's been largely forgotten by the family, just hovering in the background, with nobody realising just how smart and connected he really is.

This book contains lots of twists and more family connections are discovered, he also finds his love for Caeo but the language and assumptions of everyone lead to some confusion. You can't help but like Nico for his childlike innocence combined with his love of torture and killing people.

The relationship between Caeo and Nico really develops and they both find a shared interest in a Daddy Dom Little relationship. Some of the aspects of this relationship were definitely not for me and I wasn't a fan of this dynamic but it does make complete sense to the couple considering everything that Nico has been through in his life.

I enjoyed the plot twists that were in this book.

Destroyer - Devastatingly Delightful

‘I need to snag Caeo. Not because I need a better life than the one I had before, but because I need a better life than the one I have now. Before is gone and it can never be that way again. I need to pick Caeo and end the uncertainty of who will be my life keeper.’

Nico is one of the most amazingly complex characters that I have had the pleasure to read. Charlotte Brice has written a series with characters that are gritty and full of pain, yet communicate care in a most unique way.

Mafia men have their own style of life. Destroyer, and the other books in this series do not sugar coat what they feel is necessary to survive and provide for their families. What is delightful is how each man has found a way to hold another close to his heart and choose to make sacrifices for them.

Nico’s dialogue alone is an example of the creativity of Brice, and made this reader a fan for life!

Nico has been a bit of an enigma to me in this series. He's mixture of naivety in regards to how he functions to others as normal and his grasp of English but underneath all of that is a calculated killer with no qualms about blood and torture. He's definitely bloodthirsty but to me I wouldn't call him a psychopath because he knows exactly what he's doing and to who which he showed in the chessgame. I think it's his relationship with Caeo that brought out his softer side though even with their sexual dynamic especially with their age gap. It was certainly interesting which I liked. I loved the extra chapters added for Porter and Knox. It was a brilliant way to end this book off. A great read.

Family Ties !

Book 3 is focused on an intricate plot involving the 4 crime families all with ties to Nico. You must read the previous books or you will be totally lost. I also had a hard time with who's who and why. Caeo has a he!! of a time reigning his "boy" Nico in. After all Nico is a psychopath. Knox and Porter from the previous books have a large and important presence in this story. I was disappointed in the abrupt ending. Was it really the end? It seems as if was setting up for a 4th installment. Only book 1 was steamy. The others? Meh! The series together is 4*. Book 3 is 3.5*.

Destroyer is the 3rd book in the To Dance with Danger series. In my opinion it is not a standalone because we meet and learn about the MC's in the other books in the series. This is Caeo and Nico's story. I just love these two, Nico is such an interesting character and Caeo just melts me. Charlotte writes such interesting characters that I'm sure you would love her books. This story drew me in from the beginning and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

So glad to see Caeo and Nico get together. I thought Caeo was going to resist forever (based on the last book in this series), but Nico is of age now, so everything’s different. There are so many twists and turns in this story, secrets and betrayals and counter-betrayals… I felt a bit like Porter – completely naïve and almost innocent about how truly devious and dangerous all the mafia family relationships are. A great story!

Wow, this book grabbed me from the first page and would not let me go. It moves along at apace that is perfect for the flow of the story. It keeps you wanting to read until the end. The characters are amazing and no matter what happens you cannot help but love them. This is a book that needs to be on your TBR list, there is no doubt about it.

This story and dialogue were so hard to follow and understand and simply did not make sense. If Nico's character was as smart as you tried to portray him with the whole chess strategy and the overthrow of the mafia families then surely he was smart enough to be able to speak intelligible English. I don't know what you were trying to prove but you failed miserably,

So good

I do really like this series, the characters and sub plots are really well thought out. Book three was Nico's time to shine and he didn't fail to deliver. I anxiously await the next book.

Too violent for me.

The story where the paint store owned was killed was unnecessary. I stopped reading after that. I have read many books in this genre but this was too cruel.
