4th book in a sequel series to "The Roman Mysteries" - in this one, it is after Saturnalia, and preparations are under way for the 1st of January and the new year. The soothsayer to whom Threptus is apprenticed has been hired, but due to a misunderstanding, as a haruspex - and he can't stand the sight of gore! This is a fun series, and I enjoy it quite a bit . . .
