Kinda cute but mostly superficial anthology of comix stories. There's a one page Usagi Yojimbo which is ok, nothing to get to excited about. It was for a good cause, don'tchaknow. I got it for a $1 on a bargain book sale at my local comic book store. Someone else said it's mostly funny animal stories, I would say it's more funny monster stories, lots of cute little monsters and aliens, all pretty harmless and probably pointless, but the money went to the CBLDF, except my copy which just went to the guy who runs my local comic book store.

A mixed bag.

This is an odd but interesting little book, put together to raise money for the CBLDF, a fine organization. It doesn't contain anything that anyone would want to censor at all, I don't believe, which I found a little surprising; I guess I was expecting more of a flavor of the black and white indie underground sex and drugs books from the '70s. A couple of the works looked like they had originally been done in color and didn't translate well into black and white (the words weren't readable), and a few seem to be fragments or introductions to longer works. For the most part the stories are more of the type of what we used to call "funny-book" works for younger kids. Still, there were some nice pieces and it was done for a good cause.
