Has it been years since you last worked out, and does the thought of having to keep up with complicated routines prevent you from restarting? If so, welcome to the club! Many women feel like they have spent a lifetime giving to others yet have not been quite as generous when it comes to self-care. Moreover, the less you move, the more joint issues and osteoarthritis can rear their ugly heads, making it harder to be active. There is no time like right now to make a change. And no, Jane Fonda-style aerobic workouts alone won’t cut it. According to the National Strength and Conditioning Association, adults should aim to perform two to three strength training workouts per week, focusing on all major muscle groups. If you’ve never performed strength training or worked out with weights before, then you may worry about where to start. This book is here to take the mystery out of starting your love affair with strength training. Here’s just a little snippet of what you’ll find And so much more. insightful and fun

I really enjoyed this book. Being 50 is challenging enough let alone lone trying to age well and be beautiful inside and out. Franny tells it like most of us feel yet remains humorous while doing so. This book is educational and fun. I recommend reading it as you will realize we need to take time to love and care for ourselves.
