He won the H.C. Andersen prize for illustration in 1978.

Hierdie Deense verhaal vertel van grense oorsteek en die onbekende verken. Die Trol-gesin is lugtig vir mense, want - so hoor hulle - mense is bang vir trolle. Maar op 'n dag kom speel Trien, 'n mensemeisietjie, by Tom, en soveel pret had nie een nog ooit in hul lewens nie. Natuurlik is dit 'n ideaal: kan alle grense maar so maklik opgehef word!

This Danish story paints an ideal picture of crossing borders and investigating the unknown.
