I am planning to see this performed live in less than a week now, so wanted to be familiar with the story. This is clearly a comedy poking fun at the upper classes and their courtship ways.
I choose the plain and simple English version to help with modernizing language. This particular version was not well done; many mistakes in the printing and typeset. I was not impressed with that.

This was a confusing play. The ending comes out of nowhere and I have no idea how to feel. None of the characters are particularly likable, which makes it hard to really get into the story. Not to mention that there is a movie version of this that is not very good.
