The first time I saw her, I wanted her. The second time I saw her, I knew she had to be mine. Beautiful blonde hair. Cornflower blue eyes. Body to die for. All things I knew I couldn’t live without. But after one night, she ghosted me, leaving me desperate for another taste. I was usually the one to walk out the door before the morning light came. This time, it was her, but not without becoming my obsession in the process. Lily was a mystery. She had a past shrouded in secrets she was unwilling to divulge. She was running from something, and I was determined to find out what it was. And once I did, I’d do anything to protect her. They called me the sinner for a reason. Because I wouldn’t hesitate to burn down the world or cross any line to save her.
A scorching hot, he falls first, touch her and die, billionaire romance.

Brady & Lily (28) meet on a flight and can't keep their eyes off of each other. After a night of mind blowing loving she's the one sneaking out in the early hours, which is something that has never happened to Brady. Their story continues 6 months later when they see each other again on another flight.
Lily has a backstory that's slowly revealed. While I can feel for what she's been through I didn't feel fully gripped with that part of the story.
I always know what to expect with the MMC's with this author. They're always dominant, alphas and self proclaimed bachelors that never want to be tied down until they're taken by surprise by a special lady and then they're mush for her. Brady would do anything to protect her and that he does. I gotta say I was a bit surprised about something big he did, it was pretty dark and unexpected.
Overall, their chemistry is great and I love not having a 3rd act breakup. Not my favorite of the series, but a fine installment to it.
Series notes: This one would be fine as a standalone. I felt like some of Dalton's from The Dalton Family series popped in more than the Spade brothers did.
Narration notes: Seems like Tor has not worked on his lady voice. It'd be great if he only ever had to do male parts because he does a super job with those. I cringe every time it's sexy scene time with him. Ava did great all around.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💚🖤💙❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘 World building: 🌏🌍🌎🌏 Character development: ☺️😊😁😉🥰 Narrator(s): 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Lily - she is a flight attendant working in first class on her first trip to Edinburgh Scotland. Six months ago, she broke up with David, her handsome type A boyfriend and she hasn’t dated since. The relationship left her emotionally unavailable. She never wanted to be with someone like him again.
The Hero:Brady - he and his brothers, along with the children of their biggest rivals had joined forces to make the largest hotel corporation in the world. Brady was currently on his way to Edinburgh to buy land for a new hotel or an existing hotel that he can completely redevelop. He is not happy that his brother and new wife took the company jet to fly to Hawaii, so Brady had to fly commercial for the first time in quite a while. He is the definition of a playboy, a one and done kind of guy who makes sure the women he is with know that going in.
The story: Brady saw Lily at the airport and immediately wanted her, so when she turned up as the first-class flight attendant on his flight, he started flirting with her from the start. He liked her so much that he talked her into going to his hotel after the flight and they had an explosive one-night stand that they both would remember for quite some time. Lily ghosted him in the morning.
This was the kind of book that I love. Brady was a confirmed bachelor who fell hard for Lily, and though Lily did have a deep attraction to Brady, she had some things going on in her life that made it so she couldn’t get involved in a relationship. I think it was pretty funny that Brady found it so hard to accept that he was getting the brush off, the same thing he had been giving to countless women. He just couldn’t figure out why someone wouldn’t want to be with him.
This audiobook was told in two points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Ava Erickson and Tor Thom. These are two of my favorite narrators and they both always do a terrific job. I like Tor Thom for his super deep voice. Ava Erickson has a soft, feminine voice that always sounds natural and never like she is reading.
Good heavens, The Sinner is such an addictive book! I completely devoured it from start to finish. It was brilliant from the first to the last word. And I am definitely gonna read the rest of the series as well!
In The Sinner we follow Brady. I just adore him, his brothers and the friends which he runs the company with. Brady is pissed off that the private jet is booked and he needs to fly a commercial flight. While he is waiting to board he sees a hot flight attendant. But she gets lost in the masses. But when he boards first class and sees which flight attendant is attending him, he feels so damn lucky. It's the gorgeous blonde and they instantly are drawn to each other. Their flirting was so hot. And he proposes to her to come to his hotel room for the day and night. And Lily does show up and sparks fly.
"I can feel it, Lily. I know how close you are." "Then fuck me harder." I shortened my grip around him. "Now!"
Brady is a one and done kind of man. And he clearly states that to her. And she agrees. But when he wakes up and his bed is empty.. he is really pissed off.
"Goodbye." I whispered. I would never see Brady again. But that was only half of it. Will David find out?
Six months pass and Brady has been obsessed with her. While Lily lived in utter fear. Lily takes a new job on a private plane. And suddenly Brady boards the plane. They are immediately drawn to each other and Lily's heart starts pounding. She is desperately trying to keep her distance. Until he knocks on her hotel room door.
"You're looking at me like the moment you get through the door, you're going to strip off the little I have on, and I'm suddenly going to find myself in the air, against a wall, with you inside of me." "And you're telling me you don't want that?"
Things heat up quickly and they are just pure fire together.
"I don't know whether I want to kill you or if I'm completely in love with you." Her hand went to her mouth., her eyes wide. "I didn't mean to say that-like that."
He demands her number. And she quickly mumbles it. But then Brady finds out...
"Did you intentionally give me the wrong number, or is there a reason an asshole answered my call and hung up on me? Twice." Shit. * -"you and I can never happen." Each word was like a fucking slapt against my face.
Brady sees how scared Lily is everytime her phone buzzes. What or who is she so scared of? And why does she flee every time it rings? Brady isn't scared of anything. And he doesn't let her push him away. And I love that. Brady is such a good guy with a great heart. I absolutely fell head over heels in love with him. And I just love their relationship together. Those two are absolute goals!
Marni Mann, you absolutely nailed this love story! 5 enormous stars for this hot and amazing book!
Another great addition to the Spade Hotel series. I absolutely loved Brady's dark and twisted story. I wasn't expecting it to be so twisty in comparison to the others, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It gave a much needed different feel to Brady's story than his brothers' books.
Brady met flight attendant Lily when he was forced to take a commercial *GASPS at the audacity* flight to Scotland when his family jet was booked. Brady was hooked on Lily at first glace and was determined to spend a night with her, leading to the hottest one night stand. Unexpectedly, Lily sneaks out of Brady's hotel room while he is sleeping. Flash forward several months and Lily is now the flight attendant on the Daltons' private jet when she runs into Brady again on a trip. Brady is determined to keep seeing her and changes his playboy ways in attempts to win her over forever. However, Lily has a past that comes back to haunt her in the form of a psycho stalker ex.
I think Brady and Lily's relationship is one of my favorites of the Spade brothers. I loved the relationship they grew to have. Brady was so protective of Lily and was determined to ensure her safety from her psycho stalker ex, while also helping her find herself and her ability to enjoy life again. If only real life men were as swoon worthy and crazy about their women *sighs* 10/10 would recommend this book. I can't wait to see what happens next with the Cole brothers.
The queen of spice is back, y’all! With another scorching hot visit to the most sultry and delicious Spade hotel. Brady Spade, the grumpy mercurial oldest Spade is here with all his alpha smolder and broody energy. Turns out man falls hard and is all kinds of protective and swoony. I love a good heroine in danger storyline, and Lily having a psychotic crazy stalker gives this story a bit more danger and suspense, not to mention I will maim anyone who harms you flavor looks reaaaaallly good on a Spade brother. Brady is definitely my favorite brother of the series after seeing him fall so hard- he’s so grumpy but so in love with her, it’s just swoon worthy. And Lily’s backstory gave this story many emotional layers- her traumatic past and present are heavy. I loved watching her find safety and security with Brady, and even more I loved how thoughtful he was in ensuring her physical and emotional well being. Their chemistry had that normal Marni heat, but it was also really sweet and pure. Definitely my favorite of the series so far!
♠️ Billionaire Alpha ♠️One night stand turns into more ♠️He falls first and harder/man obsessed ♠️Heroine in danger/suspense ♠️Broody protector ♠️Touch her and I will do bad things to you ♠️No third act break-up (praise be!) ♠️Spoils her ♠️Scorching spice ♠️Dangerous stalker
Man, I don’t know if i ever read a more pathetic book in my life.
More than anything else, what I think it’s terrible about Brady and Lily’s relationship it’s how they fall in love with each other. Because it goes like this: he sees her and she’s the most beautiful woman in the world. Then they have the best sex in the world and that’s it. I mean, there isn’t a single thing about her character and personality that makes him want to leave a life of fucking everything in his path. It’s just her (obviously white face and blonde hair) and the sex.
Then, I hated the reason they couldn’t be together. She has a ex boyfriend who is a stalker and it’s supposed to make her life impossible but he’s not that important (he just doesn’t have a full time job and can stalk people), he’s not that dangerous (he’s just mentally unstable) and Brady is supposed to be a billionaire but apparently he can’t even prevent people find out his personal number or his girlfriend’s number. He can’t actually protect her at the end of the day and by the way the author handles the final act, he’s not the one who protected her.
I’m not even gonna talk about the fact that he asks her opinion about what to do about the ex boyfriend. That is the most pathetic part of this book.
But I will say this: I’m getting real tired of reading Marni’s protagonist being woman without career ambitions because they either end up working for their partners or not working at all because they are billionaires and billionaires have to travel the world and the wife has to go too like in this book.
I have zero problems with a woman deciding she wants to stay home but I have a problem with the story revolving about what the male protagonist is and wants and needs and the woman just being there to be beautiful and a good fuck. Lately, the author has been writing books where the man has a career, plans, family, he meets a woman beautiful enough he actually wants to fuck again and that’s it. Nothing more to it.
I cannot get enough of these Spade brothers! I say this every time but every time she proves she can top the next one- Marni writes these alpha men to die for! 😮💨
Thank you Marni for allowing me to get a first read! I just love your books! ♥️
Brady Spade is the grumpiest spade but man oh man does he love hard and protect what’s his! Lily was sunshine but with darkness hiding within her. With her past always following her, Brady always made sure Lily was free to be herself. These two were full of love, passion and so much spice. This story kept me on my toes with so much anxiety, trying to figure things out. I cannot get over how hard Brady can love and how much he would do to protect the ones he loves. Ugh… love him!!!
I love all the crossovers with the Dalton brothers and the rest of the Spade and Cole brothers. So many alpha billionaires but Brady Spade is truly the sinner to love!
♥️Tropes: Billionaire romance Touch her and die One night stand He falls first Boy obsessed Alpha protector
Can’t wait for Ridge and Rhett’s stories! •The Heartbreaker: Ridge’s story coming September!
I enjoy that the guys in this series always chase the women they are into... but the storyline kinda drags to get to the point! For that reason, 4 star rating.
**Psycho stalker **He falls first **Flight attendant
A Hot billionaire who never commits and a flight attendant who can't commit because of the chokehold her past still has no her.
This book felt like another fantasy when you find that instant chemistry with a stranger and get to experience that burning Passion, sneaking into luxurious hotels while travelling to different amazing places from Edinburgh to Tampa, Florida. Like I said, definitely felt like a fantasy.😍😈
It's Brady's turn now and as we follow him on his way to handling a new project, it's clear that this man doesn't believe in dating at all and is always flocking from one flower to another. 😉
Now that the Spade and Cole group has finally merged, things are smoothly progressing for once but there are bound to be smaller hiccups on the way and the smallest of the ones happens to Brady when he's unable to travel via the company jet and ends up having to fly commercially.
Brady is instantly ensnared by the woman he sees at the airport and all bets are off when he finds that she's his flight attendant for his journey.
The intense eye contact, the silent communication and the full on flirting mode - Brady doesn't leave any stone unturned to have this gorgeous woman.
But one thing that's never happened to Brady - a woman leaving him after the hottest night of his life.
This one kept me intrigued because we see each time Lily and Brady meet somehow like fate wants them to but the next moment after the fireworks are all done - Lily somehow seems to find a way to leave quietly and while not providing any contact info about her.
We see a man who's always hated attachments now go crazy about one girl who every time just about manages to rock his world and then have no way of communicating back with her.
But what shocked me was when we come to know the entirety of Lily's past. Yes, we do get sneak peaks that had me feeling so scared for her and also wanting to know who was behind those texts, that whenever her phone would vibrate she would instantly get scared and in spite of her telling Brady she's been single.
Ahhh.... I really felt for Lily as she's such a sweet girl and honestly as we move ahead and finally realise the gravity of the danger that exists, I was so grateful that, that poor woman found a man like Brady. She definitely deserves all the good in her life after what she's been through.
The ending part of the book had me so scared and nervous and the way everything happens just gave me the peace of mind I needed.
I don't even have to say how filthy and sizzling hot this one was and the many spicy times we have. I mean, definitely panty melting hot for sure. There's this one scene where as punishment for once again disappearing on him, Brady metes out a punishment where he keeps on edging Lily and just the raw intensity and obsession we see Brady have for Lily... Oh my ..... 🥵🌶️🔥

This is my first time reading from the author and I would say I had my expectations quite set a little bit high considering there's a bunch of 5 and 4⭐️ ratings so I'm quite excited about it.
The synopsis, although not to my liking on how it was presented, piqued my interest. I'm quite drawn to the obsessive and touch her and die trope so you see, once again, I had expectations.
Long story short, it felt flat. I don't mind a love at first sight or lust at first sight trope as long as it's written well, but unfortunately, the writing here wasn't something or something that endeared me.
It was pretty disappointing, considering the plot really had potential if just the writing did execute well and utilises the trope in a better light as well as the characters.
Overall, I didn't like it. I really wanted to like this, but I just couldn't.
Thank you, Valentines Pr and author Marni Mann, for the e-arc opportunity ♡
This was a steamy billionaire romance, where Lilly a flight attendant meets Brady on a flight, where he can’t keep his eyes off of her. When he requests a one night together she lets her walks down and meets him at his room. Now 6 months later they run into each other again and he is determined to spend more time with Lilly but it’s quickly discovered that she is running from something deep and dark. I had a fun time listening to this with a bit of suspense, A LOT OF HEAT and a man obsessed. Brady is a playboy but when Lilly is around he can’t think of anyone or anything else.Lilly is scared but when she’s with Brady she feels a tiny bit safer. Ava Erickson and Tor Thon narrate in dual Tor takes a little bit of getting used to with his deep strong slower voice but speeding up the audio is always helpful and didn’t change the pace of the story. Ava has a sweet and confident voice and overall she carries the book for me. I have listened to all three books in the Spade Hotel series on hoopla and excited for book 4 next.
I am blown away with this book. Ms. Mann has done it again with the sexy, steamy, mysterious, and downright scary stuff that this book contains, kept this girl glued to it until the end. I seriously want a Brady Spade in my life!
-Billionaire/flight attendant -He falls first -Grumpy alpha -Protective MMC -No third act break up
Book 3 in the Spades Hotel series was all sorts of dark and twisty compared to the other books so far and it was so hard to put down. An absolute page turner.
There is nothing I love more than when a man goes absolutely feral, crazy obsessed and will do anything to protect the FMC from her crazy ex-boyfriend.
Lily was Brady’s flight attendant. She was emotionally unavailable but they just couldn’t stay away from each other. Even when she left him after a wild night with no phone number or last name, fate still brought them together and he wasn’t letting her get away this time.
Brady’s the kind of guy that would do absolutely anything for his girl. And I mean ANYTHING. You’ll want to read and find out what I mean by this 😉
What an amazing read! At first I was anxious, curious and desperate to find out what and why, but then my anxiety kicked into full gear frantically turning the pages! Sensual and tantalizing! The camaraderie and enthusiasm at the end warmed my heart and peaked my interest of what’s to come! Exhilarating!
The Sinner is the third book in the Spade Hotel series but reads totally fine as a standalone, but I am definitely going back to read all the others. It is a fun, sweet, spicy, suspenseful romance and I was completely consumed. I love suspense with my romance and this one truly killed it. The chemistry off the bat was OFF THE CHARTS.
Brady is something.. what a man 🥵 he was so in love and obsessed with his girl it made my heart melt. He did EVERYTHING to keep his girl safe. The way he spoiled her and took care of her made me feel all giggly inside. Lilly grew so much during the book, I really loved her growth and how she let him in and let her guard down after what she's been living with her ex.
I gotta praise Mann for her no third act breakup, how the characters stuck through the hardships and just surmounted it together. Absolutely obsessed, loved every second, the suspense truly made it that much better.
🎧 The narration by Ava Erickson & Tor Thom was good. Was it my favorite, no. There were some things I didn't like and that felt off to me during the spicy moments, but the author's writing and storytelling was so good that it truly didn't matter in the end.
✨️Thank you to @netgalley, @dreamscapemedia & @marnimann for my gifted ALC in exchange for an honest review.
Another satisfying Spade Hotel novel in the Dalton brothers universe. This super SPICY dual POV billionaire romance between Brady and flight attendant Lily who has a dark past she's trying to run from. I loved the he falls first, touch her and die vibe of this book and the way the author does a great job depicting how scary an emotionally abusive, stalker ex can be. Great on audio and perfect for fans of Meghan Quinn. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!
By far my fave of the series! And Marni wasn’t kidding when she said this one brought the spice 🔥 And Brady talked a big game about never wanting to settle down, but that all changed when he met Lily. And the suspect aspect of this book was perfect! I also love seeing the friendship between the Spades and Daltons, especially since I recently finished that whole series.
4.25 stars. Omg this book! I flew through it. I did not want to put it down. I loved Brady and Liliy's chemistry. Brady fell so hard for Lily from the moment he saw her. I enjoyed how obsessed and possessive he was with her. There were so many cute and swoony moments. The spice was very hot too. I'm very excited to read Ridge's book next!
the sinner is the third book in the spade hotel series and it was brady’s turn to have his world flipped on its axis by a woman.
it was good seeing brady fall hard for lily and change his playboy ways. they shared a great connection and were good together. and don’t get me wrong they brought the heat and it was explosive, but i just didn’t feel the chemistry between them that much.
all in all the sinner was well and good. i’m curious for the next books and for what’s to come.
The Sinner is the perfect mix of suspense and steamy romance. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole book. Lily and Brady have great chemistry. Lily is trying to hide from her past by flying around the world as a flight attendant. Brady never wants to settle down until he meets Lily. The Sinner is my favorite book in the Spade Hotel series but I recommend starting with The Playboy. I recommend The Sinner to romance fans especially if you like romantic suspense or The Dalton Family series.
Brady has been utterly obsessed with lily and when he finds out what she’s been running from he is as protective as they come. Gosh I just loved this book and Brady my guy!!! Swooning hard!
