"We're the last known barrier against total, worldwide anarchy. If we fall, the whole damn world falls with us." --Ben Raines
Yes We Can
To the few who survived the Great War, their reward was a cruel joke. The politicians had told them that all the major cities of the world had been destroyed, and it was only years later that Ben Raines and his legion of dedicated warriors learned the truth. The vast metropolises of America's West Coast had become bastions of mutant Night People and thousands of well-trained, well-armed punk street gangs eager to fight all those who threatened their empires of lust and murder.
It's a great big dirty mess, but Ben Raines and his army is willing to make any sacrifice necessary to mop up California from San Francisco to Los Angeles and strike a final blow for freedom's cause. . .
William W. Johnstone is the #1 bestselling Western writer in America and the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of hundreds of books, with over 50 million copies sold. Hooray! Another book, another enemy of the Rebels, and People everywhere, put down. This book moved a tad slower and took me a couple of days to read. Lots of battles and many concerns for the Rebels' future, but they keep on keeping on. Go Ben Raines!
Johnstone has a way of drawing you into the action. It's like you become part of the action, and this book by taking me back home, being from California myself.
With the bulk of the Creepies back broken, Los Angeles in ruins, and most of the gangs destroyed, Ben has won a great victory in this book. Now it is time to look forward to Alaska and maybe Europe. This book was hard charging and take no prisoners. Johnstone's series just keeps getting better and better.
it still amazes me how William Johnstone felt the future destination of the world would turn out this way. Each time I watch the News each day, I think of this series and the author.
Very good adventure series. Basically the forming of a new United States after WW3 and the story of the man who leads and forms it. If you like men's adventure stories you will enjoy it. Recommended
