Nice introduction to the concepts of shorelines and water systems. Would be a good book to include in earth science or geology units, or even social studies. Content is probably most suited for K-2.

Sometimes, hesitant young readers will select what appears to be short books or "easy reads". I love books that do have that look about them, but are full of content information. This is one of those books. It is a rookie science book that is small with big text font with full page and half page pictures. The book talks about the different characteristics of shorelines (sandy, marshy, rocky, or muddy) and how they change over time. I expecially loved the 'words you know' section in the back of the book that promotes the growth of vocabulary.
