One girl dead. One girl missing. And a race against the clock to find her.Veterinarian Zoe Stephenson learned she had a half-sister she’d never met, only to discover that she’s gone missing…in the middle of one of the coldest winters Michigan has ever experienced. As Zoe starts her search, another girl matching her sister’s description turns up dead. Now Zoe isn’t sure whether she’s dealing with a bad foster home, a serial killer, or something else entirely—especially as evidence mounts that her sister might not have been innocent in whatever happened.Who’s guilty, who’s innocent, and how much she’s willing to sacrifice to tell the difference are only a few of the questions Zoe will need to answer before it’s too late.Catastrophe is the exciting fourth book in the Cat and Mouse Whodunit cozy mystery series. If you like adorable animals, quirky characters, and a twisty-turny plot, then you’ll love Emily James’ page-turning story.
One thing I’d hoped would happen in this book did as far as Zoe’s love life went, but another thing had an obstacle that I can only hope ends up short-lived. I’m always compelled to keep reading when I read a book by this author because it’s just so intriguing especially when I know there’s definitely an answer coming and a wrong being righted. I can’t wait to read the next book just from reading a short synopsis at the end of this one. I’m hoping that other obstacle gets taken care of!
