When Raya the witch goes to Paris to up her witchcraft game, the demon Phoenix follows her—much to her annoyance. She knows better than to fall for a sarcastic, devil-may-care pleasure-seeker like him… or so she thinks.
Everything bores Phoenix beyond words—except Raya. Not that he’d ever admit it, even to himself. But when he accidentally eats enchanted macarons, all hell breaks loose—and Raya is the only one who can save him from a relentless witch who’s out to imprison all of demonkind.
If only they could stop arguing with each other.
Fans of Good Omens, Lucifer, and The Good Place will love this wickedly funny paranormal romantic comedy! This is book two in the Supernatural Sweethearts series, which begins with A Good Demon Is Hard to Find.
This is the second in Ms. Moseman's Supernatural Sweethearts series and was a cute paranormal romance. Again Ms. Moseman made the demons seem more human than evil but it worked for Raya and Phoenix's story.
"A Witch's Work Is Never Done" by Kate Moseman is book two in the "Supernatural Sweethearts" series. Raya heads to Paris for a witch's conference. Phoenix is a demon that has been around for a while and follows Raya there. While in France, Raya finds out that it isn't the type of event she thought it would be and ends up in a mess. I really enjoyed this second installment of this series and look forward to reading the next book. I love Phoenix's character, and my favorite part is when a "cat" shows up at Raya's hotel.
I didn’t realize that this was the second in a series, but it wasn’t necessary to go back and read the previous one, for this one is complete on its own. I enjoyed it as a light-hearted read with a cute, CLEAN romance. As a story involving witches and demons, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t raunchy.
If you like a cute, fun romance story with paranormal twists, you will likely enjoy this book.
When Raya travels to Paris for the international witchcraft convention, easily covered as a "Natural Health Expo" all sorts of wonderful things befall her. It starts with missing luggage at the airport, a scare from her friendly demon Phoenix whilst on the train, and goes on from there. A fun and fast read, I finished in around two hours, this book is highly entertaining and introduces a cadre of characters that I looked forward to learning more about. A highly recommended read for lovers of quirky, laugh out loud, witchy books... with demons.

I was so excited to read this book after meeting Phoenix and Raya in A Good Demon Is Hard to Find and boy was I not disappointed, the dynamic and love hate relationship they have for each other is fantastic and has you laughing and shaking your head at times. The preconceived ideas of good versus evil and what you expect versus what you get are done very well and reminds you that you shouldn't always judge someone by what you think you know about them!

I read a lot of paranormal romances. Adding in a successful rom-com angle is difficult. But once again Kate Moseman knocks it out of the park. Raya as a modern day witch is fun enough and after i read "A good Demon is hard to Find" I knew Raya needed her own story. Then throw in Phoenix and a paranormal convention in Paris into the mix and you have a 5star novel. How fun is it to see what a witch gets in her convention's swag bag?? The characters are well created and flawed, yet fabulous in a magical setting with modern day conveniences.
Book two in the Supernatural Sweethearts series features characters introduced in the first book. It is a fun frenemies to lovers story. Raya, a witch, is in Paris for a witch’s conference. Demon Phoenix tags along. Their banter is hilarious. This book has a bit more action than the first book in the series. The epilogue is fun and includes Erin and Andy, the main characters from the first book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes humorous paranormal romance.
I listened to the audiobook. Narrator Hollie Jackson does a great job. I recommend this version of the book.
Raya is off to Paris to go to a witchcraft convention. She is very excited to be around other witches and to learn from them since she has only been able to learn from books she has found. Phoenix has tagged along saying he had only come because he was bored. When Raya meets Nathan Lord, their lives become anything but boring. This book is filled with lots of great twist and turns. Looking forward to the next book!
3.75⭐️ This book was good. I loved the relationship between the demon and the witch as frenemies. Their dynamic was more interesting to me than the first one. This was a cozy and cute little spice-less book. There were some parts that could have done with a little spice, but I’ll excuse it for the fact that the plot alone was able to keep me intrigued. The secondary plot at just over the 80% mark was great for launching into book two and dragging previous book’s characters in with them.
I was waiting for this book because Raya and Phoenix were hilarious in the first book. This clean paranormal rom-com is a must-read and you shouldn't miss it. I love that the world it creates is funny, not dark at all and totally binge worth it.

Raya goes to Paris for a witches convention and her demon prince Phoenix tags along. These two are priceless and spend most of their time arguing and one upping each other. Hijinks in a demon bar and angels in Paris make for an exciting story. There’s even a cute kitten for Raya to spoil for a bit.
🔮 Bookish Thoughts This is the second book in the Supernatural Sweethearts series. I didn’t love it quite as much as the first, mostly because the romance didn’t feel as developed. The ending was a little abrupt but I still enjoyed it. It’s a quick, cozy paranormal romcom with low angst and a great narrator. Hollie Jackson continues to absolutely nail the tone!
I had a great time with these characters they had plenty of personality and the connection was great. The author blended a storyline that flowed smoothly and kept me entertained throughout the pages.

The story line was good, the character work was terrific and the book had a smooth flow to it. This was a great addition to the series and was a quick, fun read.

I really enjoyed both Phoenix and Raya’s characters. They made a cute and snarky couple and who wouldn’t want to spend time I Paris with a witch and a demon. This was my first book by the author but it probably won’t be my last.
I was so happy Phoenix and Raya got their own book! Their back and forth was epic and hilarious. Add in their adventure, a certain black kitty prince, and it was a book I happily devoured!
I loved this! This was such a sweet romance filled with humor. It was a very quick read and hard to put down. I didn't realize this was the second book, but I don't mind that I read them out of order. I definitely want to get book one now!
When Raya the witch goes to Paris to be a better witch but Phoenix follows her and thus begins their adventure, its funny and moves rather fast loved it and loved the characters. And the trouble both of them manage to get into
I really like these short demon love stories. As someone who doesn’t read a lot of paranormal romance, I could see myself actually reading these as fully fleshed out novels. Maybe I should do some research.
This hilarious whimsical witch and demon love story is cute. Raya goes to a witch conference held in Paris, France. Phoenix decides to follow her because he is bored. The adventures begin for them both. Hollie Jackson did a great job with the voices for this story.
3.5. While this second installment didn’t quite hold the same level of charm as book one, it was still a cute and fun read. I did appreciate that this installment attempted to build out the magic system introduced in Erin and Andy’s book, while maintaining the same light hearted and humorous tone.
Oh I loved I our little demon Phoenix and our witchiepoo Raya. This was a quick and easy read. I am curious to see what this group will get up to next.
There was barely any romance in this book and the "slow burn" legit last until the very last minute sooo cheated I'm salty tbh bc this had so much promise and was such a letdown.
